You sound like you're well and truely back on form . Glad you contacted James, I'm sure he'll help you immensely and no doubt we'll be bumping into one another more regular when you train at Olympic

ORIGINAL: kitty I'll be the decider of whether it's good or bad Oooh I love it when you get all domineering like that! Yes ma'am! Anyway have set the ball rolling by sending all my diet and training details to James so he can work out what torture to put me through! Will join UKBFF too and get my entry form into them. Am gonna join BNBF too just to give something back since I keep turning up to the meets and stuff and feel a bit cheeky. My only problem now looks like it will be a one-piece - they're sooo expensive!! Anyone know of anywhere I'd be able to hire one or get one second hand?

Type in Diva Exchange Classifieds into Google and you'll find their site... Also Nicole Pitcher Scott hires out her suits (although she may be a bit short in the body compared to you)... You could try emailing AnnieB and see if she wants to sell any of her suits as she used to do UKBFF...

ORIGINAL: kitty Chrissies cozzies will be the most cost effective probably (she embellishes too) Oooh I didn't realise she did embellishment too. My NABBA bikini from her is fab. Will give her a ring and pick her brains! Anyway I found out last night that NABBA UK is deffo an open show, so I'm gonna enter that too as it's only the week before the UKBFF one and I've already got a bikini/shoes/music and all that jazz. At least then my snazzy pink bikini and stripper heels will actually get used and I'll be able to do a show with a routine and compulsories. Anyway, here is my kind of maintenance diety thing that I'll be sticking to until James plots summat for me. Have given myself a few carbs and some fat again so if they get lowered it'll be a nice shock for my body and I'll lose some weight. This is more or less what I've been doing during my "wilderness" weeks, albeit with added naughty coffees and far too many cheats (depressed binge eating is poo). M1: 6 egg whites, 30g oats, Splenda. M2: 100g chicken, 20g brazils. M3: tin of tuna, 20g rice, 100g spinach, 20g brazils. M4: 100g chicken, 20g brazils. PWO: 2 scoops whey isolate, 5g creatine, 25g dextrose. PPWO: 100g salmon, green veg. Pre-bed: 100g cottage cheese. I've run out of glutamine hence it's not mentioned there. Will get that sorted soon. Also, obviously I've had to cancel my gym membership ready for moving so training is currently whatever I can do at home (ickle DBs, Swiss ball, bodyweight) just to maintain my muscle - thus not heavy. Actually I probably don't need that much dextrose for what I'm doing at the mo. Hopefully I'm not gonna lose too much muscle, but James has said I could always do a mini-bulk for a couple of weeks once I'm home before I start dieting proper, which is a good idea as all of my lifts will have dropped and I'll need fuel to get them back to normal again. Will have cardio to do over the next few days anyway as I'm going pestering people to put BNBF posters up - gonna do all the places in walking distance of work on my lunchbreaks (to stop me sitting at my desk like a big blob!) then save the ones further out for the weekend in the car.

Oh my, the old too much/not enough carb malarky!!! It seems so long ago that I was in the thrall of this issue!!! You do need the energy to undertake all the training and faffing around that is required though!!! EAT!!!

Ok, I'll do a bit more eating for a few weeks. Oooh it's a hard life. I've been scared off carbs so it'll be nice to have a bit more rice and whatnot through the day. Was quite hungry going to bed last night as it was my first properly clean day for a bit (probably due to my naughty weeks and my body being out of sync) so might even have a piece of fruit mid-evening too to fill me up a bit. I don't have anywhere enough fruit and veg when dieting so I may as well take advantage of having time to eat now.

Trouble is lady, if you're not eating any/little now the diet won't have as much affect when it kicks in... Be brave, keep it in your head that until that diet starts, this is still your off-season so focuses on training hard, which definitely involves carbs! No need to go mad, but you'll need the energy anyway what with the move etc...

Will do as I'm told though and keep 'em up until James tells me what he wants me to do.

Carbs are protein sparing (when eaten in the right amount)

LOL, I knew someone would ask that. If you eat carbs your body will use them for the energy so that your protein goes to the muscle rather than be used as an energy source. It's a saying Vicky always uses. It's finding the right balance of carbs that's the key so that you don't then take too many that could cause a weight increase. Boy that's a crap explaination

Tis very true... to cut a long story short, if you don't eat enough carbs, you will never build muscle, let alone lose fat... Best times of the day to eat them morning, pre- and post-workout but personally I still think a little in every meal never does any harm...
