Thursday 20/12:

0715: 40g oats, 200ml semi-skimmed milk, 10g sunflower seeds, 2 egg whites.
1030: 1 scoop whey in water.
1300: tin of tuna, 15g pesto, 50g pasta, 100g spinach.
1700: 1 scoop whey in water and a banana.
Training: Body Combat plus abs.
1900: 2 scoops whey in water.
2030: 200g chicken, 10og green beans.

I'm sure my BC instructor kept winking at me during the class last night. The first time I put it down to him having something in his eye or summat, but he did it about three times! Whether this was a friendly "Yeah go for it, you're doin' great!" wink or one of lustful attraction I have no idea, but I'm choosing to believe the latter as it cheers me up.

That was my last day at the rubbishy gym though so now I need to find somewhere around here that does BTS classes that you can go to for pay-as-you-go. I'll miss it too much if I give it up completely.

Anyway this will be my last update till the new year now as I'll be off work, and I'm not taking my laptop home, and the parentals don't have a computer. I have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and NYE marked down as cheat days diet-wise but I plan to train as normal. Today is a cheat day too as it's my work Christmas lunch this afternoon.

Bring on the choccy and booze, woohooo!!!!

Hello all, hope you've had a lovely Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to a fandabbydozy 2008!!

I've been pretty good over the hols: diet went a bit more topsy-turvy than I'd have liked, but I managed to train once or twice every day except Christmas Day, the day after Boxing Day (hangover!) and New Year's Day.

My resolution for 2008 is to get properly into my training instead of mucking about, so no booze from now on, and unfuelled cardio every morning to get rid of this layer of nasty fat that won't shift. I'm joining my new gym tonight after work - bring it on!!!

Edit: TIO, there are lots of gory details which I'll get round to sharing shortly! Hope you had a naughty and fab time too!!

I wish i was stuck home on NYE as i could not be bothered to go out and spend money i aint got round here in Basildon where the sites generally revolve around drunken lads and ladettes wearing clothes that just do not go together

I did spend Xmas with another MT member by the name of Bigtime, met him once before and hes a sound as a pound when i met him at the Essex Meetup. Was nice of him to invite me round as i really had nowhere else to go.

Looking forward to seeing those gory details, btw names Eddie

Yayyy good to hear.

Well I have bitten the bullet and joined back up with FF. I've wangled a cheaper monthly rate as signed up for 24 months which is OK. Unfortunately I can't get out of the 12 month contract at the gym at work so I'm stuck with paying for both now, until the work one expires in 6 months.

Buy hey, I have now have 2 gyms to train at. No excuses now!!

I will never cast aspersions on your manicure regime again.

New gym for the New Year sounds like a good idea.
I was going to follow suit but have just read in General that Liz Kinsella will be opening one in my area in March so will probably wait to check that out first. Besides I have to wean my flabby, lifeless corpse back into training first.
Good luck for 2008.

Good luck to you too chucky.

Most days I managed to do my unfuelled cardio when I got up (at a normal time instead of at dawn as I was on hols, hurrah!) and do my weights at night. It's so much easier when you don't have to go to boring work - I could soooo take to being a lady of leisure.

I never realised you were a laaayyyydeeeee dearie!

I work in IT sales; which I don't understand*, but they need me for my languages as European countries don't really appreciate it when you act all English and expect them to be able to talk your language when you're trying to sell them something.

Ticteaser's proposed regime as a lady of leeeezure:

First thing: get up and do cardio.
Morning: shopping/manicure/hairdressers/riding/lounging around
Afteroon: spend as long as I like in the gym.
Evening: relaxing.

I would struggle to get bored, honest.

*I just make the IT stuff up as I go along mostly.

Only behind closed doors

Im currently off work at the moment and cleaning house and gyming only holds so much merit for me to be honest. I get bored so i read and write a lot to keep up with my attention span

BTW i have a friend in Herts which is close to St. Albans if you want i could ask her if theres anything worth going to for entertainment purposes if youre still stuck for ideas.

Oooh please, I'm bored out of my tree here! It's been so nice being back home over the holidays and having friends to go out with! Fingers crossed everyone at the gym I'm joining tonight will be lovely and become my dearest friends though.

And you can never do enough cleaning: not only is it enjoyable and worthwhile, it's exercise of a fashion. God I'm sad. Me and a friend had to stop ourselves in the pub last week when we realised we were turning into sad old housewives and talking about the difficulties of getting streak-free windows.

I've tried the newspaper/vinegar combo and I still can't get it right. It's my only cleaning downfall.

How do I unhide my email address then?

It'd drive me mad Tan. Honestly I think I'm getting worse the older I get: my housemate has decided I deffo have OCD in some mild form.

Wednesday 3/1:

0715: 40g oats, 200ml semi-skimmed milk, 10g sunflower seeds, 2 egg whites.
1030: 1 scoop whey in water.
1300: tin of tuna, 15g pesto, 50g pasta, 100g spinach.
1700: 1 scoop whey in water and a banana.
Training: tris plus abs.
1900: 2 scoops whey in water.
2030: 200g chicken, 100g salad leaves, 150g tomato, 100g cucumber, 15g pesto.

Tri pulldowns 3 x 10, 4 plates (warm-up).
Skullcrushers 4 x 8, 10kg.
DB kickbacks 4 x 10, 15lb.
Dips 4 x 10 (failure on last set).
Overhead tri extension 4 x 10, 5lb.
3 sets each of crunches, Russian twists and leg raises.

The new gym is fab, although it's horrible joining somewhere new on your own and having to walk round looking a bit lost like a plonker coz you don't know where anything is!! It's gonna confuse me having to go back to dumbells in pounds after so long using kilos though!

Hopefully now I'll be able to get back into a 4 or 5 day split too and just do cardio in the morning. Will have a bit of a faff about for the rest of this week and try and work myself a new routine out for you all to critique if you don't mind.

Tictac is fine chuckie. I am the rubbishest person in the world at posing as no-one has ever shown me how to do it properly, I don't practise it, and I have far too much fat covering my muscles to get them to show.

It needed eating! I'm normally more of a broccoli kinda gal but I live on a budget so nothing can get wasted! It was a nice change from veg actually but it's gone now. Tonight I will mostly be eating corn and mangetout with my chicken.

Because I'm not a glory-hunting armchair fan.

I've been watching my hometown club home and away since I was a kid and I love 'em to bits (even if we are cack and the management/board all need their heads banging together!). So nurgh.
