Hey dude, I saw your suited squats on FI

It looks like you're caving at the chest to try and get a bit more depth. Make sure you take your time with it, and ride the suit down. If it's not enough weight to get down, don't compromise form for a few more inches, just add weight.

p.s. take the bags out of your suit once you get it set

monday 19th may 2008

Woke up at half 7 to eat but like an idiot fell back asleep until 20 mins before gym, so i had to eat then go straight to the gym !!!! opps.

Squats

20x10
60x5
90x5 Belt on due to the loads of sets ive got to do!
107.5x4
125x3,3
145x3,3,3,3,3 Feeling alot better than usual!
152.5x2,2,2 Got a vid of the last set. all felt pretty easy except the last rep on the last set in which i accidentally lent forward and had to do the GM thing

Benchpress

62.5x5
75x4
87.5x3,3
100x3,3,3,3,3 Used little finger on the ring grip until i got to the second set of 100s as it was just too hard!. really was struggling with these for some weird reason :S. On the third set i asked for a spot and so the spotter helped me unrack the weight, the reps flew up and all the later sets too:S very weird, i think the unracking really takes it out of me due to my position on the bench etc! all reps paused.

Squats

YES AGAIN! more squats

90x5
107.5x4
125x3,3
145x2,2,2,2 Did these in quick sucsession! pretty darn easy really. Really getting used to the volume now

sweet day! and 21 sets of squats :o

Nice 6 reps there with the 205, I'm not surprised they weren't super fast as it's a lot of mass to be shifting around however you look at it.

Watch out! It's the push press destroyer
Are you sure you're training for powerlifting and not for strongman? 4 reps at 90 is very hefty indeed, especially given all the previous work including bench working the triceps.

So you're moving to fully equipped lifting now as I understand it? You'll be on to the straps next

Also, post up a video of your benching, the guys on here may be able to give you some pointers, and it's the only lift we've not seen much of.

I am sure you hands will toughen up. Try some atheltic tape on the particulary sore bits.
