2008 - Time to start Bulking!

In one days time, it will be exactly 6 months since I took my first picture and decided to start training. So I have put up some before and after pics, as this is my new starting point.

I gave up cutting a while back as I got sick of feeling tired all the time, so for the past month or so I have just been trying to maintain a clean diet and trying to increase the weights I’m lifting. (with the exception of this past week where my diet has been totally crap with all the Christmas chocolate and alcohol lol)

So for 2008 I plan to bulking up as much as possible with a high calorie (but clean) diet.

These are my current stats, Heres hoping they improve! lol

Age: 28
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 11stone 1lb (155lbs)
Waist: 34"
Biceps: 14"
Forearms: 11.25"
Thighs: 21"
Calfs: 14"

The weights im using for my main lifts are -

Bench Press - 70kg
Dead Lift - 110kg
Shoulder Press - 42kg
Squat - 65kg

All pics are from 4 July 2007 to 3 January 2008

OK today was the first time I have done squats in about 5 months.
I have always planned on doing squats as my main exercise on leg day, but after hurting my knee running on the tredmill, I have had to resort to the leg press machine.

I thought I was going to manage similar weights to what I was pushing on the leg press, but turns out I was not even close

Friday - Quick leg session

Squats
45kg x 10
55kg x 8
65kg x 8
65kg x 8
55kg x 8

Single leg calf raises
Holding 20kg x 25 / 20 / 15 / 15 / then about 10

Thats all I did today, but will give them a good battering next week and will add in some SLDLs.

Went to the gym today to train my legs

Yet again had to use the leg press machine due to some guy using the squat rack to do his deadlifts!

Got the rest of my routine out of the way ok, but cant help but feel p1ssed off when this happens.

**Rant over**
