What's your email address? There's too much data to list here, I'll just email you part of the spreadsheet if you like?

Ooooooo , thats gonna be painfull . Look on the bright side......He gives you some wicked drugs when you have it done, they don't do much for the pain but it's like having 50 pints in ½ a second LOL and if you ask nicely he'll give you two doses. It's well worth the pain if you ask me! When I had it done he marched in about 20 students to watch it aswell and he records it on this big TV, you can see your own colon. He does ask you if he can bring in the students mind, you don't have to have them, but he asked me after I had my first injection and he could have asked if he could put me on national TV and I wouldn't have given a f$&k. You'll be fine. Good to see your back in work and you could be getting of that cyclosporin s*it.

There's a huge amount of research into MAP and colitis, it's why i went dairy free 3 years ago!

has dairy free made a difference b0x? Does that mean your on whey isolate or can you tolerate a gram or 2 of lactose in whey? The only advice I ever got on diet from the consultant was that they don't know enough to say avoid this and that so live your life and we will treat each flair up as and when!!

I've not touch whey in about 4 years. Then again I eat at least 4 eggs, 2 chicken breasts, fish and lots of nuts every day so I don't think i'm too short on protein :) I believe dairy free helped me. I won't even eat mature cheese which is considered lactose free due to MAP. There might not be anything in it but if it's between a tasty diet and the possibility of a flare or a boring diet and being healthy I know which I'd rather! I was just thinking actually, in may it will be 4 years since i started the SCD. That means I won't have had bread, pasta, rice etc in 4 years! Crazy. Didn't see it lasting back when I was 22.

Not good mate, 7 weeks on and I'm still in the middle of a flair up but improving - there won't be any parties or drinky-poos for me this xmas Thanks for asking though, how are you?

I'm sorry to hear that, probably one of the worst times to get a flair up as well cause it spoils everything. I'm good, I had another dose of infliximab last tuesday that gave me a bad time for a couple of days after but it's starting to settle now. I was talking to a bloke who was getting the same treatment but he had crohns and he said that the Himura has been licensed on the NHS now so it shouldn't be long until colitis patients can get it. I've been taken off my Azathioprine though cause my blood has gone funny though. What are you on for your flair up?

I've had a worrying week, just started getting loose nothing dramatic. Everyone around me has serious colds / flu at the moment, my colitis always gets a bit funny when my immune system is battling off infection. I hope everyone here gets some sort of health for Christmas.

As do I, it's a time where you should be able to relax but you can do everything but, when you've got a flair up. Also being around people who have colds when you're on immunosuppresants doesn't help either. Are you all still training over the holidays or are you having a break?

If I'm healthy I train. The way i see it the more muscle I've got the more i can loose next time I'm ill without ending up 12 stone again :) 14.7 stone lean and counting, it does get easier with time.

Thats exactly the way I see it cause when I first got ill i dropped to 13.5 but now I'm up to a decent 15 and growing all the time. Just as long as I don't have to go back onto steroids and balloon up to 17 again!
