lol cheers mate im now 12 stone 5 dwon from 13 stone 2 hoping to get as slim as possible for my hols ( bulk went horrible missed gym sessions put on fat etc) so cut is my goal for now

weights a lil bit more than me, im sitting around the 12 stone mark, at 18. so cmon read the post ya silly bastard. measurements, height goals?

height 6ft 3 mesurments waist - 34-35 havent made any other mesurments since my bulk to be honest

gah 6'3 and yourstill 17... i got jipped and stuck at 6' ill give you 2 inches off my arm, for 2 inchs in height!! its a good deal.

tuesday- back/traps deadlifts (3 sets) lat pull downs (4 sets) one arm dumbel rows (3sets) dumbell shrugs (3 sets) sunday - chest/bis and tris flat bench (4 sets) incline dumbell press( 3 sets) flat flyes ( 2 sets / high reps ) dips ( 3 sets) CGB (2 sets preacher curl ( 2 sets high reps) barbel curl (2 sets) shoulders / abs - friday barbell press (4 sets) upright row ( 3 sets ) side arm raises (2 sets) decline sit ups (2 sets of 30) side sit ups (2 sets 15 reps) leg raises ( 2 sets 15 reps) monday - legs/abs squats ( 4 sets) leg pess (3 sets) ham curl ( 4 sets) calf raises (4sets)

Ello mate. You need to update your sig now that your 17 You should keep recording your weights on here so that you can try and beat your last weeks weight and don't have to remeber what you lifted. Also is good to see how you have progressed at the end of the month and what seems to be lacking so you can changed your routine around slightly.

Just a quick question really. You started the journal at 11stone 6lbs back in August. You're now 12stone 13lbs about 8 months later. A stone and a half gain but hard to say what is muscle from the pics. So why are you trying to cut? You'll simply end up back as a sub-12 stone with nothing to show for the past 8 months? A better idea would be to get your diet sorted out, lose all this nonsense isolation rubbish and start focusing on some decent exercises that, if done consistently and at the right intensity, will start adding some much needed muscle to your frame. It seems you've still got the mindset of a bicep boy so when you've missed a session or two, you go back to the gym and start doing curls rather than something a little more taxing but will serve you much better in the long run. As a former fitness manager I've lost count of the number of skinny kids your age that come in week in, week out, doing an assortment of curls and tricep exercises and never alter their body shape at all - don't be one of those guys.

jack 5 - cheers jack im please with what ive lost tristram- orite mate im from stockton.. i train at natural progression lord monkcheese - im going on holiday and i want a 6 pack for then or atleast not have a gut... i admit if i got my diet sorted when i tried bulking then i wouldnt have as much fat and would be physically stronger and bigger so june is the bulk starting again and im going to do it properly.... and of the new routine i dont see how im a bicep boy ? please explain that 1 matey i feel that after my holiday i will make loads of progress with help from youse guys cheers for poping

any reason for so much ab work and isolation exercises? your cutting, so your abs wont grow. they may get stronger if youre somehow adding resistance each week. doing ab work now will not make them more visible.

all im saying at this point is if youre in a calorie deficit, training abs may strengthen them but it wont make them bigger. i dont think you need that much ab work and isolation work. people like us (beginners) are better off with compound stuff.
