Got a PRMC date!

8th of January, so say about 40 days of training to go. Something to look forward too now, aim at and get smashed etc

40 day plan to be sorted ASAP, I'll write up todays training tomorrow as I'm about to go to work

When you say aim at it and get smashed, does that mean your gunna get drunk to celebrate your success, or do you mean it in another way?

What is the purpose of the MT community journal BTW?

Aim of the journal is on page 1 but I'll sum it up nicely mate

Any workouts at all can be stuck in here from bodybuilding, to functional strength sessions, HIIT, SSCV anything you like for people to bounce ideas around. It's a bit of a one man show currently but I'll perservere til Osagi is back fighting fit

Smashed I mean literally, as in achieve it not go out and get mortal. Won't be drinking at all until the day I pass out of training for the Royal Marines. That includes weekends out with the lads in Exeter etc. Just not worth it though I'll want to

Mini WC 101

3 Pull Ups
10 Med Ball Slams
5 Burpees
10 Jumping Jacks

x10

Approx 40 secs work, 40 secs rest so took 13:20 exactly. Found this quite easy so will up Burpees and Pull Ups next time round keeping to the same time restraints

Bike Tabata

3 x 10 D.B Snatches - 20kg

30 secs - 10km/h
30 secs - 11km/h
30 secs - 12km/h
30 secs - 13km/h
30 secs - 14km/h
30 secs - 15km/h
90 secs - 16km/h

The treadmill thing to finish was something I wanted to try. The aim is to stay at the 16km/h speed for aslong as possible and log the time. 90 secs is my base time so have no excuses for dropping under that next time I do this

Really enjoyed that session and turned a grey t-shirt black with sweat which was nice

4.5 mile run

Last time - 39:40
This time - 38:02

Shaving minutes off like there's no tomorrow, very happy with this run. If I can get it < 35mins and be able to sprint to the top of those horrible steps and continue running (about a mile to go after this) then I'll think about changing it.

Bought some new Asics running trainers today also, learnt a bit about foot pronation and bought accordingly, think it's helped.

I DB benhed to 50kg dumbells for the 1st time ever today
Just thought I;d share it with the group as I've been wanting to do them for a looong time (biggest db's at our gym) and today was the day
I then managed to drop one of them onto my nipple as I attempted to put them down without slamming them and I nearly cried lol

Good effort mate

To be fair you couldn't miss those nipples if you tried (this isn't as gay as it sounds, honest)

Head wind was bad on the last 2 miles but still put the effort in to get < 40 mins

Just thought like, this must be the most boring journal in the world currently no wonder anyone reads it lol

Needs more input! My training is so one dimensional currently but I'm enjoying it if no one else is

Sat 8/12/07 - Fighting Stuff

normal warm up stuff plus some heart rate raising stuff.

3 mins on bag working kicks & knees
1 min rest
3 mins on floor bag beating 7 shades of **** out of it
1 min rest
3 mins on floor, cycling 30s bridging, getting up, popping to feet from knees
1 min rest
1.5 mins on bag working elbows and knees
break bracket sending bag flying to the floor

so that buggered my workout.

then remembered i had a Bas Rutten Muay Thai 2 min round 1 min rest mp3 on my phone.

so I used that for ground and pound on a bag.

did 10 x 2 minute rounds, with 1 minute rest

moving from mount, side control & side headlock, knee on belly, guard, even a bit of 69 north south action.

kicks or knees were replaced with elbows, tho some knees were used in north south and side control. Also depending on position I couldnt always use the combos he called, i'd just make sure i'd strike the same amount of times.

was a good workout

i used my 16oz gloves and my hands are still ****ed.

awesome will do this again as god knows how long it will take LA to get a new bracket on the wall. If i even renew my membership that ends on the last day of this month.

In the essence of 'no pics, no proof' here you go mate

I under-pronate so was advised on these, I love them so much better than idiotically running in fashion trainers like I was previously

Last night

4.5 mile run

It was raining! Poop excuse I know lol
