Good progress mate, well done.

Can't agree with your comment 'basically because people kept mentioning that being asian, I automatically have terrible bodybuilding potentials' though.

I've seen pics of many good Asian bodybuilders. Here's one:

Oh i never said i had bad potential, i said people kept telling me i would automatically have bad genetics for it, and that id get nowhere! I went about trying to prove them wrong, and i think ill manage it! The peoplewho said this are actually close friends, whom i genuinely think were trying to stop me from being disappointed if i didnt get too far! I personally dont know many asian lads who train seriously around swansea, and i know a fair few! It doesnt seem to interest many of us, perhaps this is why many people think we would be autoamtically at a disadvantage genetically!

Astounding progress mate, your build is very similar to my own a few months back (I'm a tad skinnier now!), good work!

Disagree genetically with you being at a disadvantage but it depends who to? Disadvantage to the black guy I would agree. I also agree the results we all get tend to vary but if you could put a general opinion on it (vague as it is)...
I live in a very multi-cultural area so we get all races at our gym:
- I'd say the Asian guys developed the same as us white guys,
- the eastern European guys seem to be strong,
- the Chinese lads tend to be weaker and less developed than all the others,
- the only race I see has some advantage is the black lads who seem to be reasonably strong but only on par with the rest of us but most who are at a consistently trained level are better of aesthetically.

IMHO

Cheers mate! I did actually make the comparison in your progress pics! We do indeed have similar builds! Maybe the obly difference would be waist size, mine is actually just over 29" in my new pics, biggest its ever really been!

Thats cool with me mate, i know i started off as an utterly skinny runt, and hard work has got me where i am today. The fact is, some people do have better genetics than others! I would put mine at just below average, im still thankful for even that though.

Very true... I'd say you prob were at a disadvantage genetically but nowt to do with race mate IMHO
I was a similar build myself when I started and agree you have to fight tooth and nail and eat a house where your best mate could be bigger eating half with a wan-k training routine!!!

Ah, see, that's where we differ...my wrists are 6.5", but even at a detrained, emaciated point, my waist will never be lower than 30" - the highest it's been was nearly 34" at 195lbs!

Awesome, and I mean awesome progress mate. You must be VERY proud of yourself. Well done.

I'd have to disagree with the notion that south asians have ti harder with regards to gaining. The only thing that I've noticed is that we hold alot more water (maybe its just me). I'd agree though, east europeans in general seem to have very good genetics.

Yes mate, you can. Training wise i did a 3 day split, Back/legs, shoulders/biceps, chest/triceps. I kept it simple, high weights low reps adding weight when i could. My first year of training went very badly and i did not train correctly, the above was only really followed for the past 12 months!

The same with my diet, for the first year it was awful, 3 meals a day if that! For the past 6 months its been 6 solid meals a day without fail! I would daresay 75% of the gains were made in the past 6 months! The lesson was, food is SO important, keeping to your diet just as important as training hard. You will not grow well without both of these factors. I just aim for 5 clean meals a day and 1 not so clean meal, i dont cycle carbs at all. I just eat! Brown pasta, brown rice, chicken, steak, lamb, fruit, cottage cheese, nuts, mackrel, tuna and peanut butter are pretty much what i live off!

I would agree mate, i never actually said i believe we have bad genetics for bodybuilding as a race. Its just something many people around me have always believed and told me, im glad they did because it made me want to prove them wrong so badly! My genetics i do believe are below average, but as ive stated before, i make no excuses and i will keep hammering away and HARD.
