Welcome to another installment of TIO's reviews, take a seat, sit back, relax and have a read

Got approached by Oliver and the team at MP to do a review on the new pump product called Pulse which is
based around our very own Osagi's infamous stack with a few tweaks to it.

I got two sachets a 10g and a 20g. I used the 10g yesterday which was preflavored with their berry blast flavouring

Taste: i added around 300ml of water to it, smelled nice enough but taste is weird, think CEE with a sweet berry taste, not disgusting mind you
but MP did warn this is a strong tasting supp nonetheless, i downed it with minimal hassle half an hour pretraining.

mixability: Its a bit tricky to mix i found as some lumps tend to form, easily found out they went after leaving it a few minutes and shaking it a few more times

Performance: ok this is where it gets funky, ive used things like NOXplode before and its done sod all for me and i mean it, this stuff on the other hand knocked my socks off. I did not want to stop trianing, i had immense clarity and focus and the pump i got was unreal, i had to take time out for 5 minutes as i couldnt do dips as my triceps were so pumped it made it hard to get a good ROM. It was a chest and shoulder day and they stood out more than usual i found so its good for that all important ego boost as well.

Mixability 8/10
Taste 7/10
performance 10/10
Value for Money 10/10

Would i buy it? Hell yeah!

No it wo uldnt mate, try mixng up a custom formula on MP it works out more expensive. Still 100 servings at 10g a go for £20, do the math

Stim effect lasted around a good few hours after training, the feeling i had in my muscles was well weird as well, think of having a cold sweat rush over you

No trouble sleeping as i tend to train before 4pm anyway so any stims i would have used wouldve disappated (sp?)

So if the 10g sample was enough to provide soem benefits to your training then i guess 20g would be to much?

I guess the 20g would be more for the bigger guys?

PS: I received my sample yesterday so will be trying it out in the next few days, i will also post a review to see if it provided me with the same benefits.

Hi,

Thanks for the review TIO. Glad you liked it! We have been trialling it in-house for a while and everyone uses it pre-workout these days. Yes taste will never be "good", but we think its been hidden well behind our berry blast.

You can read another review here:

http://forum.myprotein.co.uk/showthread.php?t=10163

If anyone else is posting a review please post in this thread so it doesn't clutter MT!

Thanks

Hi,

You should try the 10g serving yourself first and if that works then you don't need to go to the 20g serving size. No one should jump straight onto the 20g serving without trying the 10g first. Of course taking on an empty stomach increases the absorbtion of the aminos further.

Thanks

MP you need to fix you link btw in he pulse review, i went to post a review there and it showed up as MPC

Like i said taste wasnt all that bad really, might be down to the fact i used twice the amount of water as what you guys suggest therefore diluting the flavour

I will be trying the 20g tomorrow and reporting back in this thread
