(All in kg)

Ran out of creatine 3 days ago, but the upside of this is that the belt seems to be growing back to its normal length again

WG Chins
10 * BW

Bench Press
10 * 50 - Warm up
2 * 100 - Warm up
1 * 140 - Could have repped it!
1 * 145 - Fine, at last! No bounce, nice and controlled etc.
1 * 150 - Quick, felt sure that there was more to come PB!!!
F * 152.5 - Nearly had it, another inch and it would have been through to the easier part of the rep. Next time maybe
8 * 100
8 * 100 - Only just got the last rep, feeling knackered, slight twinge in shoulder so decided to call it a day with BP
10 * 60

So a new bench press PB at last 150 kg / 330 lbs. On to 350 lbs I guess...

Military Press
6 * 60 - Arms were knackered, decided not to do another set

Decline Sit-ups
BW * 10 - All paused and slow
BW * 10 - All paused and slow

Bent Over Barbell Row[/b
15 * 60
15 * 60

Pictures are indeed on pages 1 and 2.

Sam, my pictures are OLD now I'm about 5 kg up now on that, although my BF% is roughly similar. A lot of the weight is on my legs mind as I've been recovering from a shoulder injury about a year ago, before that I set my previous bench PB of 145, hence my delight at beating it!

Ken, I've got more in the tank for bench, 152.5 should easily fall, 155 perhaps. I've always been a lot better at 1RM on bench than repping, so I know what my targets should be. Although it's a bit arrogant, it's nice to think that I'm now able to bench 50% more than anyone else who's ever used the 'gym' that is the garage Don't worry though, I've a long way to go with my squats, particularly if I want to use good form. BTW, do you really weigh 97 kg?

Any calls for more pictures?

if I manage 150 I'll have benched 300% of the second best bench at my gym

why do you ask? you saying I look fatter?
I just weighed myself for your benefit, and it said 99kg , though I've had a few beers so may be "holding a bit of water"
why do you ask, eh? EH?!

Just seems a lot for someone with such a poor bench

Seriously though, it was just that you didn't look any heavier than me in your photos, and you're an inch shorter. Mind you, after a big curry last night I was at 92.2 this morning . Might have to do some cardio today

All in kg

Skull crushers
12 * 48
10 * 48
10 * 48

Nice and easy, so went for a couple more reps on the last set.

Close grip bench press
12 * 50
10 * 55
10 * 60

Up a lot here, 5 kg and 2 reps on the last set!

Dips
12 * BW
12 * BW + 10
10 * BW + 15

Decided I've been lazy with these and so chucked a bit of weight on and did just fine. Pumped me up like crazy though!

Seated overhead DB tricep extension
12 * 10
10 * 11.25
8 * 12.5

Up 1.25 kg on all sets without too much trouble.

EZ bar curl
12 * 48
10 * 48
8 * 48

Last rep was a cheat, but fine other than that.

21s
21 * 28

Switched to the EZ bar, much better.

Alternate DB hammer curls
12 * 12.5
10 * 13.75
8 * 15

A bit of swinging, but generally good. When I first set it up a collar was slipping on the left, so there's actually about 5 more reps there in the first set!

Preacher DB curls
12 * 15
10 * 20
8 * 20 - Last rep or two assisted negs, bit of a disappointment given the rest of the workout.

Finish off with 21s @ 28 kg on the skulls just for kicks!

I'm thinking that NASA should be using me to detect gravity waves... clearly there's a very low frequency one passing through this weekend.

No no no!

This is the internet... you're meant to claim that it's the extra weight of your third 'leg'! etc.

Fairly knackered today after pushing snow around, but decided a workout was a must as it's been a while. It was fairly late too, which didn't help.

Bench Press
5 * 120
5 * 120
5 * 120 - last rep was tough but not slow
4.5 * 120 - thought I had this, very disappointed
7 * 100 + 1 neg - all very slow and controlled

So it seems I'm still chasing the elusive 5 * 5

EZ Curls
15 * 38 - all nice and controlled
*30 second rest*
15 * 38 - last 3 reps cheated

Flyes
15 * 5 kg - Yes I know it's a light weight, but I paused each one and I like to do these with good form rather than lots of lead.

Time for some heavy squatting again, aim was 3*5 or more if my back was up for it

Squat
10 * 60
5 * 100
5 * 140 - Reasonably good form
5 * 140 - Last two reps had poor form, not enough rest and I wasn't breathing properly between reps
5 * 140 - Last rep had bad form, better breathing

My back decided it had had enough at this point, so I did some heavy (feeling)... stretching to reach my toes

Situps
15 * BW - Really good technique actually, got some real strain going
15 * +5kg
15 * +10kg - Felt like the easiest set

Happy enough with my squats given my previous heavy session ended up with 5 * 142.5 and poor form and then a few weeks back 3 sets of 8 reps at 130kg.

Good session today, decided to work my shoulders a bit with some overhead work.
All in kg

Clean and Jerk
1 * 50
1 * 70
1 * 80 - Matched previous PB
1 * 90 - PB
1 * 100 - PB, close call, pretty much a clean and press actually, nearly dropped it straight to the floor too
F * 100 - Bashed my knee on the way up, so I called it a day

Clean and Military Press
8 * 70 - PB
8 * 70 -
8 * 70 -

I did a bit of reading recently about technique, so this was more over my head than in front of me which seems to have made it a lot easier. My previous heaviest lift was 6 * 67.5 kg

Decided to do some more tricep work to finish off

Close Grip Bench Press
6 * 70 - Usually train at ~ 10 * 60

Dips
10 * BW+20 - Nice, while since I've gone heavy on these so pleased I've still got it!

Good session overall, and nice to be able to put more than bodyweight overhead.
