cocoa powder, Any recomendatiosn of what type? And where do get it from MP or Asda?

I got some from asda proberly cheaper than MP saves on postage, its with the tea/coffe.

Also Crunchy peanutbutter sounds good, I never liked PB but that was as a kid so i try it now What brand should i get? And again where to get it from ?

I didnt like it too much either but its quite nice know adds a nice flavour! Get asdas own most of it is the same anyway tbh quite cheap too.

Oats, Is this power? Or Oats? Again can i get this from asda? And what brand / make ?

Asda oats are around £1 proberly less for 1kg I use them for everything (think they be 50p a bag)

Horney make / brand?

I use ASDA's own for this as well, if you get through alot of the stuff no need to keep buying the big name brands.

I seem to constantly over cook these lately and spoil them.

Anyway, the other day I warmed the oven up while I was mixing them and stuff. I just put them in the oven and our baby started crying and stuff and I had to see to him. So I turned the oven off and fed him.

I took them out of the oven (which was turned off) after 10 mins and they were lovely and soft. Gonna do this in future.

Hi

Rather than use grease proof paper why not try a teflon non-stick cooking mat, they cost £1.99 at morrisons and you can re-use it again and again, believe me nothing stick to it.

Just place it in your tin, put your mix on, cook it and it will not stick at all.

Tasted them today at work. Water batch were crap, Too strong OF PB and super dry. The honey/milk combo one were good , Not a fan of PB taste but the honey and cocoa masked it very well. 20mins in oven was oreferct not to hard not to soft! Good base for me to work from.

Yes mate its more hassle in the blender!!!!! Much easyer in mixed bowl and wooden spoon, I also can be asked with tipping a little bit in mixing tipping a bit in mixing, so i melt the PB and honey mix, Then add 50g of oats and whey then a bit of milk mix then add a little more milk till i get the right texture,

I baked to batchs on sunday ended up snaking on them sunday and ate 1 batch lol !

Just made my first batch of these - and although my first attempt are edible - I think a bit more cocoa powder is needed to stop them tasting bland. Or that could just be my sweet tooth!

I'll make another batch tonight with a bit more cocoa powder and report back :)

Golden Syrup would probably do the trick. Unless that's too much like honey for your allergy...?
