Tonights workout Back and biceps Warm up 5 mins x-trainer. Deadlifts 1 x 12 bar only, 1 x 8 60 kg, 1 x 8 100 kg, 1 x 8 130 kg, 1 x 2 130 kg, 1 x 4 130 kg, 1 x 5, 1 x 4 130 kg Single arm DB Row 1 x 12 9 kg, 1 x 8 29 kg, 1 x 8 39 kg, 3 x 8 49 kg Chins with BW (hammer grip) 1 x 8, 3 x 6 EZ Bar curls 1 x 12 bar only, 1 x 12 20 kg, 2 x 8 20 kg Rope curls 1 x 12 10 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, 1 x 8 30 kg, 1 x 8 32.5 kg 4 x 30 Ab crunches 15 mins bike. Apprehensive about tonights workout given the pain in my tendons from my last back and biceps workout. PB in deads at 1 x 8 130 kg but grip was crap after that. DB rows are done with an oly triceps frame hence the odd weights. Moved chins to follow rows now to warm up the biceps, started to feel moderately painful twinges during rows and chins. Tendons very painful at the end of first set of EZ bar curls, couldn't go any heavier.

Cheers Malc I was quite suprised how quickly my strength came back on bench press. Actually I'm probably stronger on it now than I was when I used to train - seems like a lifetime ago

Blood hell it's like getting a royal visit Seriously though, thanks for stopping by. I'm managing to fit my training in with the wife and kids leisure actvities, this will play a big part in me keeping it up.

To be fair I think it's more a case of I'm pushing myself harder rather than I'm getting stronger. I don't have a training partner or spotter so sometimes it's difficult.

Cheers mate. I really need to get some, you're not the first to say that. I'm sure I could go quite a bit heavier on deads if it wasn't for my grip. Not sure how other gym members will take to it but I guess we'll find out.

Felt a twinge on 3rd working set of deads, I think I'm in for some pain tomorrow It's the most BW chins I've done but I'm not counting it as a PB, form was s***ty towards the end Painful tendons on DB curls, took it steady

I'm finding that some of my workouts are usually made up exercises that hurt the least mate. Yep, as expected, woke up in absolute agony this morning. Feels exactly like when I first injured it about 15 years ago, that turned out to be a torn muscle in my lower back. Had to take the day off work, no way can I get in the car. The only thing for it is painkillers and rest, same as last time. Hopefully it won't take too long to heal.
