hey dudes, seems appropriate to start a journal here, my first journal was at TDS way back when-when i was a green ass newbie and K-man was the the flavour of the month and numero uno was laying down the law!
kinda stopped posting there after abit but continued it over at musclechat ever since and at my place too and various other forums ive helped start.(****ers lol).
its now believe it or not the most heavily viewed and longest running journal there ignored by many(love to name drop but it aint worth the grief)and posted in by few hahahahaha!
some peeps just dont dig the Cal philosophy pmsl
been training productively for around 3 years now and prior to that unproductively due to back probs for 3 before that.
read a book called brawn, bought a trap bar and started stretching and i havent looked back since!
i`v been offered a replacement disc for my back(one side effect is possible retroactive ejaculation and major probs if i want to have kids(altho i dont)so basically fcuk that unless i cant train.
my back is now stronger than its ever been but due to lack of endurance (a prob i still havemt solved)i havent worked for 3 years.
i took a correspondence course to be a wabba fitness instructor before i stopped work and never took the exam(long story again)and am now waiting for an exam to be held in my area.
i`m now doing everything i can to set myself up as a "personal trainer".
when i get the exam i`m going to try and go legit.
if i can with clever wording i`m not going to bother to be a fully qualified PT, but if necessary i will.
IMEHO a piece of paper doesnt mean or guarantee you can pass your knowledge on to your clients.
i also think many forum members have a better working knowledge than many PT`s.
i`ve been training 6 peeps for free for the last 3 months to see if i can do the biz and get results in my stable of trainers.
i know now that i can!

anyhoo-
i train once every 4th day and have been natty for over 10 months now and not lost any muscle whatsoever-(i`ve done 3 minor dbol cycles)
i have however dropped 8 pounds of BF and look far better for it.
i`m 5"9 lol nearly fooking 1/4 inch and now weighing 11 stone 4.
me calves are ****e but all other bits are coming on a treat.(see me pic thread-i do have legs lol)
calves are my one thing i cant work out how to grow.
i`m now treating calves with the seriousness they deserve so fingers crossed altho i think we all know what cnuts they can be if you aint got them!!!!!!

my workouts are simple-

A
20 rep rest pause dead with a trap bar pulled from mid shin height.
single leg calf raise-done very slow 2 secs up 4 sec pause at top on a 45 degree angled block-so i get a real stretch)
incline bench 3x6(just changed up to 3x10 with DB`s)
dips 5x10 (just changed to 3x10 due to DB`s hitting arms much harder-also gonna be using thick handled DB`s soon)

B
20 rep rest pause dead with a trap bar pulled from mid shin height.
single leg calf raise-done very slow 2 secs up 4 sec pause at top on a 45 degree angled block-so i get a real stretch)
military press 3x6(altho changing to DB`s and 3x10)
chins done from chains(see my pics)and now with socks on till i make thick handles from scaffold bar)last workout was 5 sets 10x10x8x6x8(fooked up 4th set and went off too quick)

my deads are what its all about for me.
i hit 202kgx20 last training cycle(up to a min rest in between each rep)
gave up dope doing time off training.
feeling better than i have for 20 years!
restarted cycle at 180kg.
added 2.5kg everyworkout so far and have now hit 195kgx20.
i expect to smash last PB in 3 workouts time.
last cycle i was on my absolute limit-
maybe its being dope free-
maybe its the accupuncture i`m getting from one of my free clients i dunno, but i`m pissing thru the weights like i cant believe!!!!
(and my back is feeling good next day!!!sooo cooool)

anyhoo thats me!
oh yeah and i`m 40.

oh yeah forgot to mention a tip i was given recently.
cos i deadlift every sesh my hands get really sore-
in fact they are the limiting factor to how quick i can do reps at the mo.
i was told of an old minors trick recently.
piss on your hands idea.
bloody works too!

you could use surgical spirit but this is cheaper-
(i`m doing it 3 x a day and leaving on for 2 mins)
wanna shake hands?

lol thanks for agreeing with me about my calves
i havent no-
you got a link bud?
tbh i`m set with what i`m gonna do with them(but nowts set in stone)
gonna be doing them every workout straight after deads
(btw calves grew 1/4" in 5 months purely from deads-its the shape thats the prob rather than actual size which means i`m gonna have to get them bigger than someone who dont have hi calves)(one of the dudes i`m training has good calves specially for a newbie-lucky git!but they only 1/2" bigger...)
done on a 45 degree block so they get a good stretch-2 secs up 4 sec squeeze 2 secs down.
adding
1kg(for now every other workout)
i`m basically starting from scratch with them....focusing on form blah blah blah lol
respec to me for showing them in vid hahahahaha
nice one dudes

heeeey T you jumped off that big restaurant thing yet?
bet you drop a few pounds doing that lmfao

my cardio...hmmm i walk my dogs alot...i`ll bore you all with pics when i find me camera lol!

diet errr loli`m not a diet fan i just eat clean with lots of protein-
no idea of total cals or macro breakdown lol

basically-
shot of protein-3 shredded wheat, banana.pint of milk.
can of tuna.
oats, nana, natty yoghurt pint of milk shake.
chicken salad sarnie-pint of milk.
tuna.
oaty shake.
chilli and rice in the evening.
nother tuna and pint of milk or a shot of protein.
i will start increasing cals at some point again if i do i`ll add more tuna and another oaty shake...
last year i got up to 12 stone, but put on more fat around lower gut than actually looked good-i got a virus lost 5 lbs-losta few more pounds due to smoking too much dope over 20 years appetite was friggin awful.
i look much better at this BF tho and will be adding cals now ive(hopefully) hit my PB
i usually cycle my calories over the duration of a training cycle...
those pics were from a few months back for an online comp i was in(fix!lol)i did dehydrate for them but am now exactly the same weight naturally-around 11stone 4@5"9(i did say earlier lol)

Its good to speak to someone who isnt anal about dieting!

Im bulking at the moment and have gone from 11st 4lbs about 5/6 weeks ago up to 12st 2lbs now and am enjoying eating more carbs etc.

I know its unhealthy but how did you dehydrate yourself?

I wasnt agreeing with you your calves lag a big Cal lol

I for one cannot comment on any physique greater than mine as i do not have the authority to do so (im a small fry compared to the likes of you )

http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/article-gastrocnemius.aspx

This is Gaz's excellent article on calf training, Rightyho also mentioned from what i can remember that you need to torture them in order for them to grow and the above routine certainly looks like that as well. I believe Trebor is running it, give him a shout to see how his results are with it

leeeeeave it out bud!!!
feel free to comment and take the p1ss!
nice one for the link btw.

got my 202.5kg x 20 - took fooking ages!
way harder than i thought it would be too-
probly cos i was adding too much weight in the build up over the previous weeks, but it felt right at the time.
dropping to 1kg a sesh from now on...
cant even remember how many sets of chins i did i was soo knackered-
thick handled DB press was excellent..
now enjoying a well earned rollup!
sweeeet!

DAMN! my hands are sore today-can barely close them!
as for my premature talk of not needing to use any supps yet-ha ha!
now starting what ive got in the cupboard-
just some stuff i bought for when i quit smoking hash-
didnt help at all cos i got a really queezy stomach(withdrawals)and supps made tum tum even worse...so i only took for 4-5 days.
i got some pinnacle horny goat weed(lol)a strong fenugreek extract(same as the maximuscle stuff, but from my protein-they do 2 sorts btw)and wait for it and dont laugh too much some dhea-i did get some gabba too(i was after mood enhancers ya see)but either my order didnt actually work or the bastards didnt send it-not sure which cos i dont think it showed on my CC bill-not sure tho(and cant remember where i ordered the bloody stuff)
now the test boosters may or may not actually do much good but they make me cum like a good`un!which is why i`m using them again.
i know dhea is a prohormone and i have made natty claims, but it aint gonna shut me down or do any of the bad stuff that the real stuff does(correct me if i`m wrong).i meant to get some 7 keto but got sidetracked and got this stuff instead lol(bloody hash i had/have the attention span of a goldfish!)
gonna see how lifts go adding 1kg a sesh and may either drop to training once every 5th day or train deads once a week and have a non lek workout on the 3rd day after(working from a 7 day week rather than an 8 day one as i am now.
next workouts weight seems very daunting now......

got my hip belt today and will be inserting some 20 rep breathing squats somewhere!
not sure if i`m gonna simply alternate squats and deads or stick with deads and stay with every fourth day or maybe every 5 th day....
