Taz's MONSTER CAPS & MDROL MASS ATTACK!!!!!!!! P42 - 23 November 2007 21:11
Ok guys I have decided to set up a journal to monitor my progress over the next few months to see how my body reacts to PH’s. My aim is to put on some quality muscle and lean up for the up and coming K-B competition season.

I plan on starting the cycle on the 3rd January 2008 as will probably be having a few drinks over the xmas period and new year plus the diet will no doubt go a little off track. I will still be training in the mean time trying to increase fitness and strength whilst keeping cals and weights high. I will regularly update my log with pics, bf, weight, measurements every Sunday morning to keep track of progress properly.

Background

I have recently moved home and now have my own temple (garage) to train in when ever I want. I will wack some pics up for those who are interested later. I have been using an old bench that has seen better days and a 5kg bar that bends with the weights I am putting on it lol!!!!!!

I have been bulking since May time this year but training has not been very stable mainly due to a number of changes in my life. The main one being my house move, which also resulted in my training being none existent for just over a month but I hit the weights again last Tuesday and do not seem to have lost much strength at all. I will be ordering a power rack, bench, Olympic bar and weights to go with my funky new kick bag this weekend, which I am mega looking forward to setting up and using. It maybe worth a mention that I have a new training partner (Training Partner number 8 I think), he seems to be keen so hopefully this one will last lol!!!!!

Diet will be as clean as can be through the week sticking at around 5000 clean cals with one cheat meal at the weekend. Alcohol will be left out completely as it should be during a cycle (IMO), meaning I should make some good clean lean gains.

The rough Training plan in mind at present looks like this:

K-B

Mondays: 1hr 30 mins – body weight work, stretching, sparing
Fridays: 1 hr 30 mins – body weight work, stretching, line work, sparing
Sundays: 1 Hour – stretching, bag work, pad work, skipping

W-T

Tuesdays:

Bench
Dead Lifts
DB Curls

Thursdays:

Oly Lifts
Bent over barbell rows
Dynamic lunges

Saturdays:

Weighted Chins
Squats
Weighted Dips

All weights will be done on at 3 sets of 5 reps. The idea is as soon as they become easy I will up the weight to keep to the same sets and reps.

Through out my cycle I will be taking fish oils and Glucosamine Sulphate with Chondroitin.

My planned cycle looks like this:

3 days prior to cycle (supplement loading):

· 1000mg Milk Thistle
· 1200mg RYR
· 60mg CoQ10
· 3g Taurine

Week 1:
· 20mg Epistane, split doses
· Hyperdrol 2
· Perfect Cycle
· Supplement stack*

Week 2:
· 30mg Epistane, split doses (the upping of Epi is subject to review)
· Hyperdrol 2
· Perfect Cycle
· Supplement stack*

Week 3:
· 30mg Epistane, split doses
· Hyperdrol 2
· Perfect Cycle
· Supplement stack*

Week 4:
· 30mg Epistane, split doses
· Hyperdrol 2
· Perfect Cycle
· Supplement stack*

PCT
Nolvadex PCT Day 1:
· 60mg Tamoxifen
· Advanced PCT & Retain 2
· Supplement stack**

Nolvadex PCT Days 2-11:
· 40mg Tamoxifen
· Advanced PCT & Retain 2
· Supplement stack** for 1 week

Nolvadex PCT Days 12-21:
· 20mg Tamoxifen
· Advanced PCT & Retain 2 – if I have enough left.

Supplement stack*
· 1200mg RYR
· 60mg CoQ10
· 3g Taurine

Supplement stack**
· 1000mg Milk Thistle
· 1200mg RYR
· 60mg CoQ10
· 3g Taurine
. CEE 5g – not too sure about this. I am thinking it could be an idea to start taking CEE when finished PCT, but the use of it could help it keeping my strength up during pct.

I am waiting for My Mass stack and Nolva to arrive but am expecting it sometime next week. I still need to source my CEE, Milk Thistle, RYR, CoQ10 and Taurine. But plan on ordering from MP for CEE and Taurine. Zip Vit for Milk Thistle, RYR and CQ10.

All in all this will bring my supps cost to £228.31 in total not including my whey!!!!! So fingers crossed this will be a super productive and enjoyable cycle.

Any comments or questions are welcome.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 28 November 2007 09:02
Yesterdays weights were:

Deadlifts 115kg 5x3
DC 25kg 5X3
Dips 15X3

I really pushed everything out quickly as had to get back out for a company meal lol!!!!
Few things to report are my Nolva came over the weekend so now waiting for epi and AE products to turn up. Training partner did not turn up due to illness and I managed to sell my old bench and a load of my weights. I placed my order for my power cage, new bench and Olympic weight set on Sunday so am waiting on them to call me to arrange delivery. Fingers crossed it wont be too long till it all arrives as obviously I am now super limited to what I can do.

Ok guys not been back to my journal as had done something to my back last Thursday and have been suffering for over a week. Not sure why it happened just got up on Thursday morning and back felt sore, as day went on it got worse.

This has meant no training for me at all doh!!!! It gets worse as my new rack, bench and weights arrived today and I doubt I can even put em together although I will have a go in a min lol!!!!!!

All of my supps have arrived now too so everything is in place for January. Just need to get this back healed up and hopefully start lifting some light weights next week so I can get back into it. Im a little worried than Jan may not be launch date now but my back is feeling better already so fingers crossed.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 07 December 2007 08:57
Well last night I decided that I have waited too long for my new equipment to arrive so I decided to unpack it and check everything was there.

I then decided to stop being such a pussy and built the bench. Had some food and thought **** it I will build the rack too. The bench was harder than the rack to put together tbh lol!!!!

Anyway both my bench and rack look spot on. The bench is so much more stable than my old one and with my new Olympic bar and weights I am set to make good progress with my training.

On a side note my back feels much better this morning. I managed to put my trousers on without yelping like a wounded animal. So I should be good for some lightish weights next week.

My back is much better than the other week but still not 100%. My training partner made it round and I could not bear the thought of him using my new rack, bench and weights first. So I kept it simple and light:

3x5 chins
2x5 1x12 Bench 65kg

Weight was far too light but I did not wana risk injury. I feel much better now that I have done something though. Roll on Thursday and fingers crossed my back improves.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 14 December 2007 08:55
Managed to push a little harder yesterday with training as my back is getting better everyday.

Bench 85kg 3x5
Squats 65kg 3x5
Preacher Curls 30kg 3x5
Chins 3x5

I know I did bench on Tuesday but I need to build things up. I do not feel back is well enough to do any oly lifts, deads or bent over barbell rows so did the above and I feel pretty good this morning. Although I am worried that I will not be at full strength for January so may have to postpone my cycle.

I will just have to see what happens.

I have just about sorted out my diet for my cycle so will post that up this weekend with a few pics of home gym and one of me in my currently chunky state of affaires lol!!!!!

Why not just rest until jan mate? Keep the cardio going but give your back a couple of weeks complete rest

Im starting to think you are right TBH.

I should have called this journal Taz’s journey to recovery lol!!!!!!!

Im still in pain with my back but I don’t wana stop doing everything. It don’t hurt to bench, chins (slight pain), curls so wana just do them if nothing else.

Ill just have to see what next week brings.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 18 December 2007 20:28
Much better session today:

87.5 3x5 Bench
40 .x5 Prec Curls
12/8/6 Chins

I was pleased with everything today. I think I could push my bench upto a even 90 with not too many probs next week. Curls will prob go up in weight slightly too but not too much as feel I am nearing my limit on it. Chins are going well but no need to add weight until I can do 3 sets of 12 I reckon. When I am on goes the rucksack and in goes some weight lol!!!!!

Back is still a little sore but am hoping that I should be good for some light bent over barbell rows this Thursday.

Oh on a side note.

I TURNED INTO AN UNCLE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My little sister had her first baby boy today so well chuffed with that. They are both well and should be home for xmas.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 21 December 2007 08:46
Last nights weights went well. Back is improving although still a little pain and cannot bend it around too much. I did a few mins on my punch bag, punches did not really hurt my back too much but I tried a few kicks which did lol!!!! So I still feel a good few weeks away from being able to do kick-boxing, but as it is the best its felt in a while I did the following:

Bench 90 kg 3x5 – Im really enjoying this and feel my target weight on this for the end of planed cycle will be 120kg. Imp rob aiming too high but we all need targets.
Squats 65 kg 3x5 - did not go too deep and kept it light
Bent over barbell rows 65 kg 3x5 – this put more pressure on my back than anything else but it didn’t actually hurt.

I’m pleased with today’s session as it shows that I am on the mend and as long as I stick to not pushing things too heavy I can still train and get better. I still think starting my planed cycle in Jan maybe a little unrealistic considering but I will stick to the plan of Jan and revaluate when the times comes if need be.

Cheers DW and Congrats to you bud.I carnt believe you’re a dad now!!!

Last time I spoke to you I think you had only just found out ya misses was pregnant lol!!!! It shows how long I have not been floating around this forum.

Iv not long got back from seeing my little nephew for the first time. I found it strange, as he just laid there pulling different faces. Anyway Im of out to the shops to buy him a xmas prezzy.

Any way re back I know you are all correct and I am just being an arse so think I will leave back exercises till new year but I will still do bench chins and curls as they don’t cause me any grief at all.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 04 January 2008 08:59
Ok I have not trained since my last post but yesterday I did my first training session of the year. My back is still not 100% but I can do normal things without it being painful at all.

95kg 3x5 Bench
40kg 3x5 Preacher curls
70kg 2x5 BOBR (This is the only one that I purposely kept light and it was a good choice as could feel it pull slightly)
BW 8/8/6 Chins

Overall a good session and I enjoyed it. I will not be starting my cycle until February now as am going to do 1 month’s worth of training in order to get my back upto 100%. Its proper pissed me off but you only get one back and I like mine so this is the way forward I think.

RE: Taz's First Cycle - 05 January 2008 19:05
Hey Rack cheers.

I went Kick Boxing last night, which was the first time for over a month. I did a little stretching and a little line work and although I found myself wincing every now and again with certain moves etc I feel good for it this morning. I think I will be in good shape for it by Febuary although I keep feeling tempted to start it early lol!!!!!!

I’m gona sort out some pics and fat measurements tomorrow to add a little post xmas motivation to my training seeing as the gut is back.

My dog is now my official cardio partner.

I did 1 and a half hours yesterday and an hour today. I think I will do this every weekend and start doing 50 mins every morning for the next month to ensure my fitness is upto scratch and my fat levels are lower.
