Time has come to really sort my priorities out. I know my goals and I know what I must do to achieve them. I have ultimate respect for people who have transformed their bodies and one day I hope to achieve an amazing transformation myself.

I would like to think I am very well informed about bodybuilding, having been researching it for many years now. I have, IMO a very detailed knowledge of nutrition and training, though I am more than open to advice as I'm sure most people on this forum have more experience than me.

I will give you some insight into my history, my methods and my future goals.

GOALS
To completely alter my body composition. I will be carb cycling with a series of high, low and no carb days. Once I'm lean and muscular it's time to become a bulking machine!

METHOD

Right...let's crack on!

Cheers lads. Am fully motivated and know what I have to do. Unfortunately was not able to start my cut today; got back from uni yesterday and parents have no decent food in the house. Went to the car to drive to tesco today and the battery's flat and no-one else can drive me, so have to wait til tomorrow to stock up on food. Have had to make the best of it today, but will find some way of getting to the shops tomorrow. Really annoying as I wanted to buy Smackdowns vs Raw 2008 as well lol.

When I was 'cutting' I used to count the calories of everything, but it does seem very obsessive and can lead to much anxiety, so I think I will just weigh everything this time and reduce portion sizes/ amount of carbs if I plateau.

Will put up the diet tomorrow as soon as I have designed it.

Also thanks for your responses in Marmite's journal Apollo

Can't wait to properly start the cut...damn car!!!

Thanks a lot Eddie, you know I value your opinion

I do intend to take pics tomorrow, but I'm not sure whether I want to put them up. I often give people advice as I feel I have good knowledge on bodybuilding, though my current physique does not show this. I don't know if people would reject my input if they saw my present condition. I would much rather put them up once I've made gains, but if you think it would be beneficial to put them up now then I will. I do prefer journals with pics, so don't want to be a hypocrite

Yes I have seen your journal, though your pictures show you have gained some serious lean mass, whereas I haven't gained any. Imagine Impreza's body with around 5st of fat added and that's me. I know this as I went from 8st7 to 13st in 3-4 months and none of it appears to be lean. Anyway I don't care as am much happier in myself and ready to give it 110%.

I'm sure we can motivate each other and I can't wait to progress. I am slightlly saddened that you have slowed down the drinking however, as I will miss your drunken posts so greatly

Knowledge and application of knowledge are different things mate

I know i dont look like a bodybuilder yet i help people with diets etc

IMO as long as youre putting in the effort mate i dont think anyone has a right to say anything bad about you on a personal level. Constructive criticism some time down the line though is to be expected when you post new ones in 6 months time though

if people reject your input simply because you may have had less time training than someone else then to be honest, fcuk em

Yes you shouldnt be afraid to post pics. You could wait untill you have made ground in the cut and then post both sets of pics i.e the before and after.

As theiopener says, he dosent have a huge bbuilding type body but his opinion is well respected. You, like him have alot of knowledge and thats what counts. Hope you can apply it and stay motivated.

Hehe yes it is evident for all to see on the forum that the drunkern posts seem to have faded away. Friday and saturday nights when others are returning home and posting slightly drunk I am answering them stone sober.

Im sure Ill post a few over the festive period which resemble my usual style!

If I didnt put my pics up then I would still be eating take aways 3 nights a week. Only by the constructive critisism and even the nasty comments from some did I motivate myself to start eating clean! And this is still driving me as I want to put up another pic in a few weeks to prove people wrong.

I think the MT shape up comp will be good for motivation too mate.

I however will padlock my computer if I ever get the urge to visit this forum whilst inhibriated. My drunken pearls of wisdom must never be recorded and I will ensure that they never are. That is, apart from my friend's tape of my drunken rapping during our "5 K challenge" a few weeks ago God, how embarassing!
