Hi all

Not posted for a while due to a mixture of work and pure laziness and not trained since 20th November so things are now to get back on track!!

New routine will be a 2 day full body workout going in the lines of:

Workout 1

Squat
Bench
Rows
Curls

Workout 2

Deadlifts
Shoulder Press
Dips
Chins

Will follow this for 6-8 weeks then change it up some more, keeping it nice and simple.

Will get some pics up shortly, just working on re-sizing them and uploading.

Weight is currently around 16st 7 but aim to get to 14st then re-assess.

Tried this in 2007 and got down to 14st 10 then things all went *** up.

This time round I WILL succeed!!!

Thanks OG

Been out of training for sooooooooooooooooooooooo long, need to get my act together.

Now got my new training room sorted as have moved house so out of the cold shed and into a nice warming dining room / gym which houses my power rack, sping bike and 300kg of weights!!

Routine above will start from today with the first session taking place tonight.

Will put up stats / new goals etc later also.

Good to be back!!

DC77 - Thanks mate, nice non-fancy compound routines are my favourite! Not trained properly since November so looking forward to getting back into it, just hope my strength has not been affected too much but will rebuild up nice and slow.

Tommy - Hi mate, good thanks - things been very hectic, just bought a house, new job etc and training has taken a big backseat, however got the gym sorted in the dining room now! Training is back on.

How are things with you? Training well still?

Workout 1 - Chest

Due to time committments at present I have changed around the routine so will be working out around 4-5 times a week just concentrating on one body part, total workout time approx 30 mins, short and sweet

Flat Bench Press

20 reps @ 20kg

10 reps @ 50kg

8 reps @ 60kg

6 reps @ 70kg

4 reps @ 80kg

2 reps @ 90kg

Tried to rep out 1 @ 100kg but failed on two attempts so gave up
Considered I haven't properly trained since last year I was pleased that my strength wasn't down a great deal.

Weighted Dips

10 reps @ BW

8 reps @ 5kg

6 reps @ 10kg

4 reps @ 15kg

2 reps @ 20kg

Overall a good first session, looking forward to Squats tonight!

Good man. Dont worry your strength will soon be back. After having not trained for that long it wasn't too bad anyway

You're in for a world of pain in the morning dude

I remember when I squatted again for the first time in months back in November - it felt horrible for days!

Weights are good considering you've had a bit of a lay-off. When I started lifting again I found strength hadn't decreased that much either

Cheers mate.

Don't actually ache too bad this morning, my chest/arms hurt the most from the benching, I normally find around 48hrs after I hurt the most so it will probably come on tomorrow!
