I play university level american football.... yes in the uk!

Goals: get lean, fit and faster on the field.

I will do this through training, not drinking and sticking with realistic nutrition guidelines.

American football training recommences on tuesday 8th. We train 2-3 times a week depending if we have a game or not. I will lift around twice per week and fit a couple extra cardio sessions in too.

Haven't lifted for 2 weeks due to xmas and illness so weights are down.

2nd January 2008
Oly Squat 120kg 3x5
Bench 95kg 3x5
Deadlift 170kg 1x5

TBH im not sure what a linebacker does , Im quite wellup on the rules and can enjoy a good game , but im no cheggers when it comes to gridiron !!

trainin goin well mate , im 85kg (down from 107) and fit as a butchers dog

cool

yep offensive line protects the skinny qb... defensive line (oppositve the offensive line) and the linebackers (generally behind them) try to kill the qb

85kg! skinny! do you keep a journal anymore?

Hi Cheggers,

I used to play a lot when I was in America, I was a tailback and then a safety. I've recently dropped it though because I'm taking up MMA, don't think my body could handle doing Football and MMA. What position on the line are you?

Good luck with you training by the way!

lol well atm im giving football, strongman and martial arts a go its proving hard work.. but football season is over in 2-3 months anyway so ill just push through until then and maybe ease off a bit in the play offs ...im usually right guard
