Alright , My experience on the 5 x 5 is that so far its very good for me. I'm quite a lean , tall guy. I think this routine is currently the best for me. I'm getting stronger every workout increasing every week by at least 2.5kg if not 5kg in strength on all lifts. I think it has massively helped me to gain some weight , i'm not too sure how much but i know i seem bigger due to comments like "Your bigger" "Nice build" from people at the gym. i feel the same only stronger if that makes sense. I know that i'll never really be able to become Massive as some guys on here just becasue of my body structure, i'll always be lean and my diet is very good but i aint too worried i just want to be confortable and hopefully hit 100kg on the bench by the summer.

My opinion on the routine is that at the start it doesn't push you hard enough so i've been upping the weights as i want to feel like i've worked out like i do at the minute. I think that this is great for people maybe bored of what they are doing , or starting. I think squat , deads and rows are overlooked in peoples eyes. Too many people i know would much rather to some bench and curls instead and forget about legs and back. This routine to me promotes a whole body symentrical approach as you should be able to row what you can bench in theory.

I think though at the end of the day, if it isn't broke don't fix it

Had a good workout today , had a 3 hour cricket session this morning though and my legs are killing me!

Very happy with my dead form , was worried before but smashed it today which is all good!!

Wednesday

Squat 60 70 85 85 all x 5

Mil 36 44 52 58 all x 5

Deadlift 60 75 80 95 110 all x 5

3 x 8 chins
4 x 15 situps

Right , Well i had a very interesting day today.

God i hate people that text in the gym, i think after today i may got nutty if i see it happen again. I don't mind, like people texting in the gym WHEN they are lifting. Example today guys doing curls in the squat rack , which doesn't annoy me, as i could wait for them to finish so i could squat. So i go
"how many sets you guys got?"
"Number 1 idiot goes dunno?" And his mate looks at him and goes "3 mate"
So i'm like hmmm, right ok. Beep Beep Idiot number 2 grabs his phone and drops the bar and texts wasting 10 minutes on one text.
I go back 20 minutes after i first asked
"can i use the rack now lads"
" 2 more sets Boss"
"Thought you ad 3 left"
"Nah , were doing 6 sets"

I wouldn't mind if they where focused and did good form lifting instead of wasting 40mins in the rack texting every bloody second.

Rant Over

Good session , dissapointed with me chins though

Sqaut : 70 x 5 , 85 x 5 , 97.5 x 5 97.5 x 5

Mil on the smith machine 25 x 5 , 30 x 5 , 35 x 5 40 x 5 45 x 3

Dead 80 x 5 , 90 x 5 , 100 x 5 , 105 x 5 115 x 5 NEW PB

Chins 8 8 6
Bicep 27kg 8 7 6
