Our uni , has a gymnastic squad and they have a bin full of it i just go and borrow it hehe. Could you by chalk's and smash em up would that give you what you want i think they are well cheap as well, all you need is a bag and a hammer!

Roots - Chalk is chalk isn't it?

Think i'm going to get some straps but only use them for deadlifting as i have poor flexibilty in one of my wrists due to metal plates in my wrist and also i want drop the bar agian resulting in a massive fit of rage!

Riocat - Chins

Try to doing 3 sets working downwards 8 - 6 - 4

Then once your nailing 6 go for 7 and then 5 instead of 4

Thats what i did , took me about a month to get it. Or get on the assisted chin up machine and put it on high weight and smash it.

Always get a spotter for chins, even though they'll prob give ya a wedgie its worth it!

chalk is chalk, i think you can use normal chalk but climbing/weightlifitng chalk is different slightly finer i believe, not that it matters too much though i guess. liquid chalk is another option.

by all mean get some straps but only use them when 100% necessary otherwise your grip will suffer. i only use them for DB shrugs these days, as like you i have a metal plate in my arm up to my wrist and recently it has been agony, back to the hospital next week to get the results of my scans etc. think its tendon/ligement damge

Yeah mate i think the spotter option is the way to go, i'll have to rope someone in to help me when doing chins.

Alrite mate, are you up for this "friendly comp" we were talkin about in my jornal? Will be hopefully be me, onion, roots and you, if you fancy it.

Will prob be a deads comp somthing along the lines of how much you can improve / lift within a certain time etc, maybe video updates occasionally, should be a laugh / help with motivation etc. Or you could just laugh at me attempting deads as mine are the crapest outta all of ya
