Right, I'm 20 years old , 6 - 4 and i weigh 12.5 stone.

Looking for a new training programe as i don't think my current 4 day split is working well. I've been on it for 6 Months had gains but i feel that i should go for a whole body compound routine for the current time being.

Have made big improvements , couldn't do a wide grip chin now can do 3 x 8 for example which im chuffed about.

My main goals are for to put on lean muscle and be able to lift my own body weight.

DIET

I'm looking to bulk this is my current diet.

7 am 3 weetabix Skimmed Milk + Whey Protein Shake

10.30am Tuna and salad sanwhich x 2

12pm Chicken , Potatoes , Veg = this meal is dependent on what i can cook , or is being cooked at uni.

3pm 3 scrambelled eggs on brown toast + 100 g of nuts

5pm Whey Protein Shake (Pre Work Out)

7pm Jelly babys , Impact Protein Shake with milk

8pm Chilli on a bed of rice

10.30pm Cottage cheese , Penut Butter on 2 brown bread

Also i have ordered of MP and hopefully it should have arrived today and in that package is my Creatine which im also going to take. Loading should start this weekend.


WORKOUT

My workout i'm going to do a 3 day split

Week 1

Workout A
Workout B
Workout A

Week 2

Workout B
Workout A
Workout B
Week 1

So on Monday i will start with this

Workout A

3 x 5 Squat
3 x 5 Bench press
1 x 5 Deadlift
2 x 8 Dips

Then Wednesday will be

3 x 5 Squat
3 x 5 Military Press
3 x 5 Bent Rows
2 x 8 Chin-ups

Not looking foreward to squats as i've been lazy and not worked my legs in ages! So should be interesting

Got to wait till monday to start as i've been training this week and want two rest days.

Will upload pictures on sunday.

First Day on this routine.


Took it easy today , didn't work to failure wanted to start the week nice and easy.

Squat 50kg 3 * 5 (First Proper Squat ouch!)
Bench 70kg 3 * 5 (Felt good)
Chins 2 * 8 (last 2 hard)
Dead lift 1 * 5 90kg (Felt good)

Had a mare with my workout today got confused as i was in rush.

Any wayz

I did 3*5 Squat 60kg - last set was very hard

3 * 5 Bench 75kg - Felt good

3 * 5 58kg - Seated Military Press - HARD!

2 * 8 Dips - smooth and nice


Just drinking my shake now feel good.

I'll try to stick the routine on friday and not muck up!

Right , ended up having a mega stressful day , and didn't eat too well but ok.

just did my work out. Felt ok had to rush as off as its my works leaving do.

I did -

Squat 70kg - New PB. Legs are killing me now
Chest - 70kg - Not great form , shouldn't have worked chest on wednesday
Deadlift - 100kg - Feel very sick now!
2 x 8 chins - nice and tidy - should have been dips but as i got it wrong on monday i'd thought i'd keep with it for today.


Just about to drink a shake then have a chicken salad dinner on pasta.

Prob going to have a few drinks tonight oh well first night since news year eve! Ha

dont eat too much and end up porky - its much harder to shift ! and never let form give way for a few extra Kg's , nice liftin keep up the good work n never look back !!

Right , back on task today. Had the leg shakes on friday night not great!

As i've finished my teaching placement i'm back to being a student again. So i wont be rushed which is great!

Will be doing

Squat 3 x 5 - 75kg
Bench 3 x 5 -70kg
Deadlift 1 x 5 - 100kg
Dips 2 x 8 non assisted.

Should be interesting , right i'm off now for some breakfast!

Right had a pretty good work out today felt nice and fresh.

Squat = 80kg 3 x 5 10kg more than expected
Bench = 70kg 3 x 5 hard graft last two felt like face vein busters
Deadlift 100kg 1 x 5 Happy , Grip was nice didn't feel like i was slipping
Dips 2 x 8 Easy , going to sling a 5kg in their on friday

Just going to make some chilli i think. Yum Yum

Well went to the gym today and fully experienced the "bicep boys" which cracked me up!

Had a solid workout,

Squat 3 x 5 = 80kg
Barbell bentover Row 3 x 5 = 50kg
Chin ups = 2 x 8
Seated Military Press = 3 x 8 55kg


Just drinking a shake now, legs are not as bad as they where on tuesday but kinda like jelly!

Squat 3 x 5 85kg = could be very interesting!
Bench 72.5kg = Will need "help" ha
deadlift 110kg = should be ok may pass out though ha.

Right an update to my journal.

Have been very unwell this last week, I had a really bad case of gut rut all week.

This has made me not have any sups for a week and have not been at the gym for a week.

So i'm starting to eat again, But we'll see how i get on on monday with my lifts.

Right , Been back in the game for the last couple of weeks.

Moved Uni digs , only got internet today.

Went gym today

Squat 90kg 3 * 5
Bench 75kg 1 * 5 1 * 4 1 * 3 lost a rep after first set had the shakes and was really hard!
Dips 2 * 8 + an extra 10kg
deadlift 120 1 * 5

Going to keep going for 2 more weeks then i'm changing routine.
