It's Saturday 19th July 2008 at St.George's College of Technology, Sleaford.

That's pretty good mate. I'm considering it myself (I guess you weren't including me in the 5?), tho it depends on whether there's an Over 50s class tbh. Will attend even if I don't compete. Cue for a members meet-up?

Good to hear you're entering, Eddie. I'm not associated with the show - just thought it would be useful to post the date on MT. It's been difficult getting on to their website today but I've just phoned the organiser who tells me he's hoping to announce a guest poser within the next few weeks (see website http://www.newimagegym.co.uk/ for details).

sorry we have been slow with info,but the same venue is secure..cnp will be the main sponsor[the uks no 1 show backers] we are working on securing a good guest poser,but we are waiting on confirmation.A lot of pro bodybuilders will not commit this early in the year,as they dont know when they will be competing .. Hopefully as comps are being announced soon,we will get some feed back.If any pro bodybuilder is interested,give us a bell on 01529-309400 office hours.Also if any one is interested in sponsoring a class or competing or spectating give us a bell.Although we did not get as many competitors as we wanted,the ones we did get were superb.Keith from peterborough was awesome[1st show]and fivos who is natural,was peeled.Also with having a small venue,the crowd was packed in and generated an electric atmosphere..I went to around 8 shows last year,and some of the larger ones were lacking in excitement..
so if you have ever been interested in competing,this could be for you.We will have a good team to look after you and encourage you,if its your 1st show.

Unfortunately I won't be doing this show again this year as all efforts are going into the UKBFF qualifiers, but rest assured there are two rather special Lithuanians at our gym who are planning to enter. Very very dense muscle.
And big Dave Basinski for anyone who knows him - represented the UK a few times in Europe will be competing on our behalf, too.

Great show by the way and a real good crowd atmosphere.

Well done Mark, you're on the ball...hope it goes well.

It has just been confirmed that our Guest Poser this year will be Gary Lister, The Iron Giant 4x Mr Universe Winner.

Also entry forms are now available to download from our website http://www.newimagegym.co.uk

Posters will be going out to gyms in the next couple of weeks, please email us if you require one for your gym.

You can PM them at UKM - where you also posted this thread last night.

They all have journals in the shows, pros and inspiration section.

Failing that, phone or PM James the owner of this site - I'm sure he has details of good standard lads - Mike King, etc - they're all about and in shape and doing guest spots at the moment.

I'm not too sure how UKBFF rules affect athletes doing other affiliation or non-affiliated shows but Darren Ball is fairly local - he has a gym in Leicester - and is currently prepping for an IFBB-affiliated show in Europe. he's in very good condition.

He has a journal on this website in the journal section.
