nice one mate, how fast do you reckon you'll get?

I would be disappointed if I didnt get sub-18mins.

that isn't bad tbf...it'd beat me, I'm massively out of condition due to my hols in Vegas and then xmas, maybe you are too though LOL

Havent trained properly since around mid-dec but staying in shape with some road and bike work.

I said I would be disappointed with sub-18 and I suspect I would end the run bitterly disappointed if I did it tomorrow

Neb, surely your broken ankle will prevent you from running?

Excellent idea Jonny, get the posers off their flat bench and do some real work (3 smileys for extra joke awareness!)

A decent pace on Concept II's is 2min/500m so 2k times will average around 8/9mins

Magic 50

10x DB snatches (5 per arm)
10x DB swings (5 per arm)
10x burpees
maximum of 60secs rest

Repeat 5x

aahhh, i think daz (mook) does these , what sort of weight ? 10/15kg and the snatch - does it resemble a clean i.e from the floor to shoulder height or a traditional snatch - from the floor to above the head in one movement ?

good stuff daz, oh and i would get a part time job in a pub , just for a bit of cash and to tide you over till the next marines test

Great idea Boar.

I'm using a Concept II rower for my cardio so this challenge is ideal. I haven't done any cardio work WHATSOEVER in ages and ages, not expecting good times, lol.

I'm feeling inspired, will give the 2000m rowing challenge a go tomorrow evening. I doubt I can even row 2000m at the moment so will be great for me to track my time as I get in better shape.

Boar in you want to add the Marine Commandos bleep test is Level 13 (satisfactory) though it's not a major requiment, depends on PT leader and what troop your in.

Sounds good. I'll do all of them over this week. (apart from the bleep test as I dont have a 20m hall or the tape and im not doing it on the street... would probably be shot)

I got 15 on the bleep test when I was 15, does that count? Current one would probs be 13, well Id hope so anyway.
