Just been a turn coat and trained at a JJB.... Something i said i would never do! My mate signed me in and it was free so i thought id give it a go, i wont be joining up but it was a good change. A change from blokes only, burping, farting and grunting about (golden oldie will appreciate that if he reads this...) There was also a nice selection of tasty women in there, something that is a bit of a holy grail in Widnes. Either way, did a bit of an all over and didnt specify muscle groups. Squats, warm ups and 8 @ 100kg- Hard as fook and well pissed off seeing as i have done 140 x 8. Biceps, straight bar curls x 8 (dont know weights, shiny and not stamped up..) hammer culrs 15kg x 8 Upright row, 30kg + ez bar, 3 x 8 Shrugs, 40kg db's each hand, 3 x 12 Then probably tried half of the machines in the room with no real consideration to what i was doing, got some funny looks too. All over a disaster though, rapidly losing strength so i may just return to normal training and adapt to painless movements.

Ok, life has delivered another whammy today. Ive just got back from the hospital where it has been confirmed that i now have a DOUBLE hernia and ill be having an operation in the next few weeks.... Sh1tting myself already even though i know its totally safe. Obviously my trainings days have been shelved for the time being so this journal will be left to die a slow and painful death. Thanks to all who have posted.

I hope so, looking at 3 weeks off work and another 3 weeks of light duties. Then whatever happens after that is up to how i feel personally. Realistically 2 months of no training and then working back up to it slowly, all guns blazing then hopefully back to full health asap. As ever mate, thanks for posting here. Ill probably start a new journal when i return to training, without all the negativity of this one.
