Does anyone have any pointers on getting your hips closer to the floor?

Heres my 200 pull a few weeks ago

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=w8xotJvLsEA

Without being in a gym i can't really see how my flexibility currently is - but i think i need some extra work in being able to get my thighs parralel to the floor.

That said it doesn't help i've got stupidly long arms

stand a couple of inches away fronm the bar - this enables you to get your knees a little further over ,allowing your hips to be lower with a good solid back position to drive thru the initial part of the lift

You're a strong b@stard, Mark. Top pulling.

Thanks mate, Doubt if I will ever get that much more than 8 plates a side unless I put a hell of a lot of bodyweight on. Nothing compared to Mark Felix!!

If you want to keep your waist as small as possible, drop deadlifts and squads.
Switch to using a smith machine for both.
The only reason for a statement like that is mental illness.
