The weights can be dropped any way you wish you know.
Its all about the chase for your goals, not the weight compared to others, if it was id be out now!

A plate is roughly 20kgs or a little bit more if from the US.

so a 6 plate dealift would be 6 plates per side totaling a 260kg deadlift.

I have never tried the oly style hand position cause I feel more comfortable and find my grove better with the arms crossed, sorry bud.

Out of interest, could wrapping oneself in black plastic bin liners so that it's tight against your skin like a rubber/pvc dress, be classed as crossdressing?

Hi mate, yer 160 for 8 reps but i am not hitting down into the hole just down to parallel.

I really love them tbh, all of the quad incorporation with none of the back strain.

I'll sign-up, but just for 5 plates. Only 20kg more to go. Would only be 15kg at my other gym as they're in KG not LBS but they've only got 6 x 20kg plates in total so I'd prefer to do it with 10 plates. Lookers neater on the bar that way.

bigscottishbastard - you've got a massive squat and deadlift but a relatively poor Bench - any reason??

I dont train bench since I dont need it in strongman, I use it as an assistance exercise after push/ rack pressing, strict pressing shrugs etc.

Good luck to all on the 6 plates per side or any deadlift goals.

6 plates was sweet but 6 plates and a littel more (272.5kg) will be a little sweeter!

Hope to see some vids on this thread!

This was the closet I got to it a few months ago before my injury, failing on lock-out:

260kg deadlift fail

B_light, I'm definitely up for this little race as I'd like to pull 260kg to comp standard and then go for the big 600lbs before the year is out. Count me in.
