I just like watching how people prepare for max effort deadlifts.

Some casually stroll up to the bar and lift.

Some get psyched up, smack themselves round a bit and aggressively pace up to the bar.

Some just try and hump the bar before hand

As long as it goes up, it's all good

Also, bsb - it looks like you've got a bit of competition from your 15 yr old brother. How does he compare to you when you were at his age?

I'm sure this is a mere technicality, but I've only got 8 20's, and my bar is 10kg, so "5 plates a side" for me will have to be "4 plates, 2 10s and a 5, a side".

I'll get in on the 7 plate action
I did a 625lb last year at bw of 106kg..now at 102..heaviest since that lift was a 500x9 and a 585x1.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlSEwy3j1xY

I suppose I'm good for a 600, so there's a way too go.
