Alright, i hit my 5 plates again this week in training and went up way to much (50lbs) and couldn't move it and fried myself for the other sets. I did hit 5 plates on squats so that must have helped some. How is everyone else making out?

Tempted by this, but don't train for deadlift very often as it tends to leave me dead in the water for a couple of days if I go heavy. Currently 215*5 and 220*3, but I've never lifted heavier than 220 either.

Im out. Was looking at 5 plates and had a failure at 200 last week. Since then i think i have a hernia and am going the docs next week, even if i havent i wont be lifting heavy for a while anyway.

I don't do 1RM at the moment but when my training partner returns from uni at Easter we'll give it a try. He's made 210kg, I've made 205kg so we've got our own private race to 5 plates as well as an MT one.

I'm not quite in the same league as you guys but i'll put foward my deadlifting goal anyway

Currently repping @ 167.5kgx6, microloading 2.5kg a week for the next few sessions until 15th or so of March. The training session that falls before that i will be going for a 200kgx1.

Maybe not quite 5 plates but it'll be a milestone non-the-less

My dead lift is truly awful.

Scott - I'll give you some of my deadlift for some of your raw bench . I'll even throw in a few kilos off my squat so we'll be even there too
