went to gym yesterday PUSH DAY!

Cant remember all sets and reps as i forgot to bring my log book and pen!

Anyway struggled a little with similar weights before my lay off-
got to 80x5 on bench and was really struggling and didn't go for more

most lifts were down about 5kg or so!

I was expecting this but not so much tbh!

Also ive lost 4lbs down from 14stone to 13stone 10 (im discarding the last reading of 14st5 as it was not close to being accurate!)

After my usual i added in seriious calve work- just 3 working sets but all massive drop sets

Are you running anything whilst you cut or will it be done natural. Do you think this cycle has been planned out a little poorly? Holidays in between and holidays after which makes it difficult to concentrate on adding mass as are worried about being fat for USA holiday? What Test E are you using? Pharma or UG?

hi cj,

i wouldnt say it was badly planned out. initially i had everything sorted and a number of unforseen things cropped up.

what i would say is i wouldnt run in exam time again- anyway i have no more!

Also spain was a spur of the moment job as my mum reallly wanted me to come as i had ended up in hospital shortly before and i think she was really worried about me tbf.

as for USA, its not really a holiday. Im going to work and im not really that fussed about having a bit of a belly- its not as if im out there on the pull or anything, and i dont really think my gut is that bad

i WOULD admit that it most definitely could have been done MUCH better. the last 2 weeks have been a joke if im honest!

I won't be runnin anything for cut as i'll be in the US and dont wanna:
A) bring stuff over or
B) buy stuff there

Also due to running nolva during last couple weeks for gyno pct will commence immediately after which means it'll all be done by the time im out there.

I most definitelt could have made more gains and tbh i'm alittle dissapointed in myself as i could have pushed harder- especially with diet at times (last 2 weeks)

Pull Session today! Should have been done yesterday but some stuff came up shich had to be dealt with pretty urgently!

Anyway thought it was a pretty good session today and i used my new wrist straps for the first time ever!!

Deadlifts

90x7
110x5
110x5
130x4
140x3 (using straps)

BARBELL ROWS
60x5
60x5
65x5
65x5(using straps)
65x5 (using straps)

Seated Rows
140x8
140x5
140x5
120x8
100x6 (went to total failure doing last 3 sets in quick succession)

Arm Curls
30x8
35x5
37.5x5
37.5x4
37.5x5

BARBELL Shrugs

100x5x5

CALF EXERCISES
Blasted these agin today with massive drop sets again
starting at 160kg for 25reps, down to 140x20, and continually dropping down and going to failure down to 80kg and then back to the start! Repeated just twice but intense!!

All in all a pretty decent session strength appears the same possibly a little more!
Although i would have to say i was not properly fueled for this session as i was pretty busy durin the day and then decided i was forcing myself to hit the gym and hadn't eaten all that much!

Came straight the gym with usual pwo then strainght down pub for Half a chicked and chips! (not the best i no but i was influenced by my gf)!!

Its about time i updated this!

Training has been going well but i havent updated my journal in a while mainly because my laptop was stolen and im a lazy ****e!

Diet went to pot for a while and is now back on track- i have lost 4lbs since coming off but it appears to have stopped at this or at least plataued

Gyno-seems to be going away but i cant really tell- 1 minute it seems great and the next it looks huge!

Anyway i have just started Heavy Duty HIT training (Mike Mentzer) tonight was the first night and it felt great and i am still shaking and sore already- havent sweat so much in absolutely ages!!

here is essentially the programme i will be following:

quote:

which is what mentzer said is the ideal workout:

The exercises are performed with strict form. 4 seconds to raise the weight and 4 seconds to lower the weight. this eliminates all momentum and makes your muscles do all the work.

do 2/3 warmup sets but only to the point where YOU feel warmed up, dont do any more than that. each set should be performed to absolute failure. you should be shaking!!

each time you repeat a workout, either increase the weight or the reps to keep the intensity up. also do not rest between exercises for more than 1 min. you should complete each workout within 30mins.

Workout 1: chest & back
Superset - dumbell flyes/pec dec for pre-exhaust 1 x 6-10 reps
incline press 1 x 1-3 reps

superset - straight arm cable pullovers/nautilus pullovers for pre-exhaust 1 x 6-10reps
close grip pulldown 1 x 3-6 reps

Deadlifts 1 x 6-10 reps

Rest 4-7 days

Workout 2: Legs & Abs
Superset - leg extensions for pre-exhaust 1 x 12-20reps
leg press 1 x 8-12 reps

Superset - leg curls 1 x 10-15 reps
calf raises 1 x 12-20 reps

Ab crunches 1 x 12-20

Rest 4-7days

Workout 3: shoulders and arms
Dumbbell/cable side raises 1 x 6-10 reps

bent over dumbbell raises/rear delt machine 1 x 6-10 reps

Barbell/cable bicep curl 1 x 6-10 reps

Superset - tricep pushdowns for pre-exhaust 1 x 6-10 reps
Dips 1 x 4-8 reps

Rest 4-7 days, then repeat

I did workout one today:
Workout 1: chest & back
Superset - dumbell flyes/pec dec for pre-exhaust 1 x 6-10 reps
incline press 1 x 1-3 reps 50kgx2

superset - straight arm cable pullovers/for pre-exhaust 1 x 6-10reps 22.5kgX7 (i used dumbell)
close grip pulldown 1 x 3-6 reps -65x4

Deadlifts 1 x 6-10 reps 105x8

I reduced weight on all exercises for this as i knew it was going to take it out of me and i was right! It was very very hard session and i loved it

although i found it hard to resist the urge to go for another set! Well im gonna see how this program works for me- like a kind of experimen!

I did 90 yesterday but I'm cutting so I don't think 100kg will done anytime soon. If I was bulking 2 months would probably be about right. I'll try 95kg in a few weeks maybe.

Workout 2: Legs & Abs
Superset - leg extensions for pre-exhaust 1 x 12-20reps
leg press 1 x 8-12 reps

Superset - leg curls 1 x 10-15 reps
calf raises 1 x 12-20 reps

Ab crunches 1 x 12-20

After suitable warm up sets I did the following:

Leg Extension 80kg x 14
Leg-press 120kgx15 (Should have gone for heavier weight that I could only manage 12 reps with)

Leg Curls 70kgx 10 plus 4 negatives (was able to add negatives on this exercise as I could assist the legs by pushing forward on a lever on the machine that allowed me to get to fully contracted posistion)
Calf Raises 160kg (max on that machine) 16reps

Abs- Crunches on Back Hyper extension machine (i think thats wat its called )
1 set of BW by 20
1 set BWplus 5kg 14
