started a journal a couple of months back training got the better of me
enough of the lawrence dellaglio, and time to get back on

sitting at 243 lbs
BF ~ 14 per cent
short term goal: bulk for 6 more weeks
long term goal: compete sometime in the Autumn/ Winter depending on

today hams/bi's

squats
leg press
calves
forearms

terrible workout
could not believe the idiot at the gym

...

not a great intro i know, but i do hope to get a lot more out of this journal than in the past
now to look up some designs for my back

Love the new journal title, reminds me of some cheap aftershave

Whats up in the gym today my good man?

that is the last time you use the title of my journal, and the words cheap aftershave in the same breath

one of the instructors decided to persistently get in my way
after i warmed up on the bar
he decides to interrupt my session to get in the induction for the newbies
i watch patiently as he illustrates a 6 inch stance for proper form
before he moves on, he tells the crew to watch the expert (at which poitn he smile patronisingly at me)
i ignore his comments on my unnatural shoulder width squat

then he decides to interrupt me on the leg press
not neccessary apparently. overtraining i think he said
after i'm done, i leave 5 or 6 plates on each side, as I do
when he rudely shouts
"bodybuilder, put the weights away"
at which point i'm contemplating grabbing him by the ankles and flinging him out the window
instead i ignore him, and move on to the bench to do some crappy foreamr work

unfortuanaltlty i'm in earshot of his idiotic diet/training advice
at one point he stresses the importance of high rep work for a "toned" look before lifting up his shirt to display his rib cage
and commenting anything lower than 12 reps you'll look like him (at me)
still i do nothing, and head for the shower

having to go back for my keys, which i left in my cap by the bench
the priCk's only got my cap on!!
with great restraint, i ask for my cap and keys
he responds with "what's the magic word"

can you believe this guy
anyway the rest , well it wasn't pretty
not too cut up about it tho,
the intention was to train at my brother's anyway
just a bit of a drive
but my patients been tested as far as it can

Sorry RaJ i shall never do that again

Im in disbelief at the PT who did that to you, if he would've asked me for the magic word i wouldve said "NOW!" but thats just me

Surprised you didn't hand him his ass between 2 plates

"bodybuilder, put the weights away"

That particularly tickled me.

Good luck with everything mate. How tall are you?

I imagine you to look like your carrying a very decent amount of muscle with a slightly soft appearance?

i walked up to him took my cap, and told him if he doesn't place his keys in my hands right now and grovel
i'm going to flip him upside down and shake them out of him

must be 19 at most
the uni has a placement scheme whereby most of the staff are in college/uni
and work for free

Sorry RaJ i shall never do that again

glad to hear so...
of course any other murky comparisons are freely invited
it's just the murky aftershave comment was just a little close to the truth

5' 10"@110kg... you're as tall as me (I'm 5' 9"), but 30kg heavier. The guy at the gym must be retarded to upset you

Sounds like you got some cracking PT's Raj.

I was doing some cable work the other day and overheard;

"Use 12-15 reps for muscle size and definition, 20-30 reps for tone"

Dude, I dunno how you restrained yourself with that PT guy. You deserve props for that alone. Good luck with the journal - you've not decided to go the power route then? Either way all the best with it :)

Glad to see the journal up and running again mate.

Can't believe the rudeness of the PT.
