kicking someone while he was down. got caught on cctv. screwed me up for quite some time.

i sometimes think whether i'm more annoyed i did it it or got caught, reason being the lad went to glass my mate and if he would have done my mate could at worst not be here today and at best have a scarred face.

other than that, i stayed in 2 relationships for much longer than i should have, i regret that.

financially i've made mistakes, but nothing i cant sort/havent sorted out.

x 2 that.

they were costly too, i look back and think 'idiot' whilst smacking my forehead with the heel of my hand.

Not being that great with cars I tend to wait for warning lights to alert me to get the car looked at. Unfortunately the little oil lamp bulb was not working which resulted in a siezed engine.
£600 later I had another engine in my Ford Escort 'Encore'

Unfortunately I didn't learn my lesson and once again neglected to put oil in it again, and maybe 5 months later, cue another seized engine on the A3 just past Burpham.

Same as Jonovmanc, waiting and waiting for house prices to drop then realising they weren't!

Also letting TSB talk me into a personal loan 5 years ago which was set at about 20% and required me to have a paying account to "get a better rate". It has been paid off for a while but I can't believe I was so naive.

I've made loads of mistakes, but they've usually worked out for the best. If I hadn't of got caught shoplifting in HMV, I wouldn't have got sacked from my job at River Island (I was 16). I wouldn't have gone on to do the things I have done. Generally I have few regrets. A couple where I wish I had made a go at opportunities of relationships, but if I was ready, I would have.

Not really a mistake but the cost was huge: My best mate was 17, I was about 19, we lived about 2 mins from each other, his home slightly down the hill from mine. I could see his bedroom window from my back garden, we used to gesticulate in all manner of ways, very funny . His parents wanted to take him on holiday, only child etc. He didn't really want to go and asked my advice about it. I told him to go, it was possibly the last chance he'd have of doing something like that with his parents, while he was still 'their child'. Told him it would be good to get away and enjoy the weather and the company of his parents he doted on. So he went. A couple days before he was due back, he was run down and killed by a speeding taxi driver. Looks like he possibly was looking the wrong way as he tried to cross. The sort of thing I would have normally stopped him from doing. Bent the A pillar of an old Merc and killed him instantly.
