If any of you haven't lost the will to live whilst reading my update - I'll buy you a drink alcoholic or otherwise if we ever get chance to meet up!! lol

Triple Vodka and Red Bull in 11 weeks time please

Cheeky git!! lol! If I get on that stage I'll need the 3 vodkas, don't know about you!lol!!

The fact you've been reading my novels qualifies you for at least 1 drink I'd say!!

How's your diet going now that you've started after your Easter chocs? Can't believe it's 11 weeks this Sunday - Holy C**p!! I'm not laughing!!!

Thanks Kitty. Hard to keep 'under-cover' when you're on your hols, even if it is only a short break. I thought I did pretty well on the whole tbh, if I wan't such a fussy sod generally about food, he'd have rumbled me ages ago!! lol

Feel good about sticking with it easily albeit with a meal I knew I'd be having - hadn't imagined I'd get something as clean as I did though, so pretty darn pleased on that front too, good job I did the ordering out of hearing range though!!

OMG!! Don't say that yet! I keep thinking in a few weeks when I see James next it'll only be 7! I'd better be in damn good shape by then! I get butterflies when I think about it!!lol

I'm so looking forward to doing the Tilehill show, although nervous and feeling the pressure of how many said they'll be coming along form the gym - hoping I don't make a complete fool of myself If I'm honest, I think I'm more looking forward to how I'll feel once I've done it!! Then I'll really know that I can do it!! How fab am I going to feel then? I'll be hyper!! We'll both be having a drink at that stage! lol

Good to hear your enjoying the diet so far btw!!

Training update!!

Shoulders & Calves tonight:

DB Press x 5 (Includes 1 warm up)
15 x 7.5kg dbs
12 x 10, 12.5, 15 kg dbs
6 x 17.5 kg dbs - bit miffed, no-one around that I knew enough to ask for a spot tonight, so dropped to 12.5's for 4 reps!!

Lat Raise x 3
12 x 7.5kgs
12 x 10kgs x 2 sets

Cable Lat Raise (New Machine, must check the weights on the stack, think it was 9kg though?!) x 3 sets x 12

Calves x 5 (Standing m/ch)
15 x 60, 90, 105, 112.5 x 2 (Don't know what hurt the most, my shoulders from the pads or my calves!! Good though!!)

That was it - done!! Still feels weird not doing 45mins cardio after my weights! I'm enjoying it though, means I've got more to throw at the weights!!

Diet has been as it should be today too. Really hoping I've lost a bit this week .

Got a few comments tonight from a couple of people that were really positive, one thought I'd gotten much leaner in the last 10 days or so as we've not seen each other around- so that's pretty fab!! Got my fingers crossed!

Training and diet going pretty well again today, I'm getting a bit predictable now aren't I .

Training today:

Cardio x 65mins pre-brekkie & Arms:

Warm-up: 7.5kgs db curls x 12, kickbacks x 12

Superset:
Barbell curls x 4:
12 x 10kg, 15kg, 17.5kg + bar and 10 x 20kg + bar (quite pleased!! )

Kickbacks x 4:
12 x 7.5kg, 10kg x 2, 7.5kg

Superset:
Seated DB Curls x 3:
10 x 12.5kg drop to 5 x 7.5kg
12 x 12.5kg, drop to 4 x 7.5kg (ouch!! )
10 x 12.5kg, drop to 4 x 7.5kg (biceps - knackered!!)

Lying Tricep Ext x 3:
12 x 10kg, 15kg x 2 + bar - really must check the weight of the bar - keep forgetting!!

Superset:
Cable Curl x 3 (New machine so wasn't sure of weights to try today so played it by ear!)
12 x 60kg, 80kg, 10 x 90kg on stack (That's just ridiculous! Can't be right!)

Pushdowns x 3
12 x 90kg, 100kg & 110kg (Told you it was ridiculous!! Think someone else is helping me if those weights are right!!)

Anyway - by that time my arms were absolutely shattered as usual - but I love it!! lol , I am sooo sad!!

Diet was as per plan just varied chicken/fish today, had salmon & salad for lunch, mackerel and loads of veggies for dinner tonight, smoothies in between and breakfast as normal too!! Going pretty well at the minute if I'm honest, although I've had one of those I feel fat and look crap days so don't know what that was all about!? Still, I'm guessing it was just a 'fat' day! . I'll be fine tomorrow!

Can't believe it's Sunday night and I've got to go back to work tomorrow!! . Whenever you're on holiday it always goes too quickly! Still - keeps me out of mischief!!lol.

Well today has been a bit of an odd one - diet wise - same as normal, no problems to report either!! . Training - was supposed to be a complete rest day, but found out yesterday that the funeral is Thursday, so I doubt 'll be able to get my 2nd cv session in this week on the right day, so in an effort not to miss out on my 60mins I decided to do it this evening instead! Best solution I could think of I'm afraid! Awful as it sounds, I just don't want to miss a session especially when my legs need so much stripping off them!

Hey!! Just think - in 11 weeks time I'll have done it!!! yipee!! Can't wait! I don't like being a sneaky devil with Bri not knowing and all that, but I am so excited and there's no way I can tell him (certainly not until afterwards!). I know this for sure because I said a few day ago that I planned on going to a few shows this year and he didn't like the idea of that, I left out the bit about I'd be in a couple of the ones I was going to, thought it best!! - funny fella sometimes!! Bless him! He's watching the golf at the mo !

Back to the old routine as from tomorrow - about to pack my lunch etc up and get tucked up by 10pm (up at 5.30 so I need all the sleep I can get!! )

I know it's going to get pretty hard to hide it in a few more weeks I guess, have to as far as I can though unfortunately! That's why I'm going to be leaning on you guys to keep me going!! - last year I dropped out of doing any shows because things were so difficult and it is purely bacause he doesn't understand the sport (I think?! ). This year it's not an option!! lol.

Hiya Chrissie! Good to see you're back, hope you had a fab time! - Thanks for the offer of support (yet more support! lol).. Believe me, I'll be shouting loud and clear when things get tough!! The more shoulders to lean, cry, sweat and swear on the better!! pmsl!

Have booked my first massage for a week Saturday - OMG!! I'm going to be sooo nervous! (I'm such a wimp!). Don't know how or if I'll be fit for driving home - still, I may be able to pop into my Dads on the way home with any luck! Although I'm a bit anxious I'm really looking forward to it! he,he!

OK then - diet same as usual, going well on the whole. Weighed 'n' measured myself and I've got say I'm not convinced this time. I've lost about 1/2lb and although I've had loads of comments saying that I'm looking tighter/leaner I really don't know today! Bum! .

I'm going to email James in a min to see what he thinks I ought to do!! I'll let you all know!

Training - legs today!! (I like legs day - I am nuts aren't I?! lol)

Squats x 4
12 x 30kgs, 50kgs, 60kgs x 2

DBs SLDL x 3
12 x 27.5kgs, 30kgs & 32.5kgs (Yay me! Haven't done the 32s before - be like a cripple tomorrow!)

Lunges (DBs) x 3
12 x 12.5kgs, 15kgs
10 x 15kgs

Lying Leg Curl x 3
12 x 30 x 2, 10 x 35 dropped to 4 x 30

Superset with

Leg Extensions x 3
15 x 6 plates on stack

That's it as both leg presses were being used (Mondays are so busy! )

Oh - almost forgot to mention pre-brekkie cardio. As I was non too impressed with the scales I decided to do 70mins on my bike!! Grrrr! lol

Hiya everyone - been having trouble with the old tinternet for last couple of days, keeps bloomin' crashing .

Anyway - the latest update! Have booked my first massage as per James' recommendation for a week on Saturday (oooh!! Scary painful stuff!! lol). I've also been having a good time of things diet wise, love my veggies and it's a darn good job, hubby keeps looking at my plate and pulling faces - I do the same when I look at his, so can't complain, it's quite amusing really!! .

Training this for yesterday and today - about to write another epic!!

Tuesday - Chest & Abs
Incline press x 4
15 x 10kgs DBs (Warm up)
12 x 12.5kgs, 15kgs DBs
10 x 17.5kgs DBs

Incline flyes x 3
12 x 10, 12.5 & 15kg DBs

DB Pullover x 3
12 x 22.5kgs DB

Abs:
Crunch superset with Reverse Crunch x 4 sets x 20 (Ouch!!)

Didn't feel too bad overall - unfortunately the new cable machine contraption thingy isn't wide enough to do cable cross overs so I'm going to have to try them one side at a time next week when there's less people hogging it!

Today then - Back & Calves

Seated row x 4
12 x 6, 8, 9 x 2 (plates on stack = 10kg!? Plain daft!)

Single arm row x 3 (With DB)
12 x 27.5, 30 & 10 x 32.5kgs

Straight arm pulldown x 3
15 x 3 plates on stack

Standing calf raise m/ch x 4
15 x 90, 97, 105 & 112kgs (My poor shoulders! Think I've been compressed by about a foot!! )

Donkey calf raise m/ch x 2
15 x 12 plates on stack x 2
A bit knackered after that lot today - feels soooo good though!! he,he! . I'm easily pleased aren't I eh?! lol

Hope you're all ok btw!

Looking forward to the weekend as on Saturday Bri is playing golf for almost the entire day, so after training, showering etc I'll have a chance to practice hobbling around in my shoes!! Yipee!! I can't wait, it'll be quite good girlie fun I reckon! I've got to get some practice in otherwise, come the 29th June I'll defo be making a flying entrance or exit to the stage, either that or I'll be in the audience (oo-er - doesn't bare thinking about!lol).

Apart from that, all quite on the western front so they say!

Thanks Chrissie - the rotten stinky internet crashed when I was in the middle of a post in Flicks journal a little while ago - can see me getting annoyed in a min if it keeps it up!! . When I go for my massage next week I'm going to be picking his brains about my training, as I'm reliably informed (by James) that he more than knows his stuff!! Quite looking forward to it!

Things look really good your end too btw! Wish I could come and scream 'n' shout my support for you when you get up there in a few short weeks flower, if I lived a bit closer I'd come along and see you strut your stuff!!

Nikkie - it would give you a good laugh if nothing else!

Am going to do NABBA for the experience really, I know darn well I will not be at my leanest by then however, I can get some stage practice and see what needs to be done on my posing and routine! The BNBF qualifier after that will be the one I aim to be in my best shape for! Then I will just follow the comps around the British Isles! Am bound to get some kind of prize just for my tenacity and sheer bloody mindedness if nothing else!!!

Hows things your end with regard the fripperies like routines and tanning?!?!?!

Chrissie - I'm sure you'll do far better than you're saying you will!! Fair play to you for wanting to keep going - can't say I blame you (I have even started thinking about next year and I haven't done a single comp yet and I've got 10 and 17 weeks left!! pmsl! Daft bugger eh?!).

In terms of routine, I think I've chosen my music as I've managed to cobble roughly half a routine together, there's just a little bit that I keep getting stuck on as there's a few 'moves' I've tried and can't decide which flows(ish) best! I'll get there!! As for tanning, I had a volunteer, think I've got to get another as they've gone a bit quiet - still, like I say, got 10 weeks to convince them to do it for, or I'll bribe someone else!! lol.

How about you? I'll ask you in your journal in a minute!!

OK then, in terms of training etc, I was a bit quiet yesterday as we had the funeral to deal with, so a bit of a rough day, I'm glad to say that Bri did better with it than I thought and I'm relieved now that it's done as he can start and get himself sorted out with it all, bless him!

Thursday - diet, on track (boring aren't I! ), training - CV only day, so managed 70mins pre-brekkie, then 60mins in the early evening so I was quite pleased on the whole considering the day!

Today - 65mins pre-brekkie (I'm trying to alternate days between 70 and 65 mins to get some of my thigh meatiness to disappear! ). Meals all as they should be, plenty of veggies and my chicken 'n' rice as stipulated!!

Tonight I planned to do shoulders and calves, but I trained calves Wednesday and they're still a bit tight, so I'll do them tomorrow instead!!

Shoulders -

DB Press x 4
12 x 10, 12.5 & 15kgs
7 x 17.5kgs (Really want to get to 10 on this one - if it kills me (probably will!!))

Lat Raise (DBs) x 3
12 x 7.5kg
12 x 10kg x 2

DB Bent over Lat Raise x 3
15 x 7.5kgs
12 x 7.5kgs
12 x 10kgs

Cable Lat Raises x 3
12 x 9kg on stack (new machine thingy!)

That was it - shoulders pooped, felt good albeit I cheated by not doing calves - I'll make up for it though - promise!!

My new bikini should have arrived today, but we missed delivery so now I have to wait until Monday!! . I was hoping Bri would be working from home and would be able to sign for it, then I could have a little try of it with my shoes at my Mums on Sunday and get her to take a couple of piccies to scare myself with!!! Never mind - have to do it next weekend instead!
