Morning folks!! I've been up ages and thought I'd best wait until a respectable time on a Sunday morning to post!! lol. Hope you're all having a fab weekend, mine's pretty much normal. Hubby played golf yesterday (the first time in ages) and he was absolutely knackered when he got home - bet he's aching all over today! pmsl!! He kept saying last night, it's not just a stroll round a flat bit of grass you know, it was quite hilly, raining and I was dragging my clubs around with me too!! I'm awful though, 'cos I just keep laughing! No wonder he won't go training (at a gym of his choice) with me!! he,he!! , he says he'd be embarrassed - can be taken both ways there - but he said it's because he's so unfit! Bless! . Okey-dokey!! Diet yesterday, good girl, didn't stray at all, even though I stopped off on the way back to the car from shopping to get hubby an eccles cake! I don't help him do I!? , still, he enjoyed it and he had walked several miles yesterday! Training: Arms, I did plan on calves too, but I think I beat them up on Wednesday as they were still a bit too tight to be doing them again, so I'm going to have to hammer them this week! Barbell Curls x 4 12 x 10kg, 15kg, 10 x 20kg, 8 x 20kg + bar (Yay me!! I normally do 17.5kg, then 20, but decided to jump straight to 20 today so I'm quite pleased with my wee li'l arms!!) superset with: DB Kickbacks x 4 12 x 7.5kg Seated DB Curls x 3 12 x 10kg 10 x 12.5kgs, dropped to 10kgs for 4 11 x 12.5kgs, dropped to 10kgs for 3 superset with Single arm cable pulldown x 3 12 x 14kg on stack (did these quite slowly and really squeezed at the end movement - oooh burning!! lol) Conc. curls x 3 12 x 10kg dbs 12 x 12.5kg dbs 8 x 12.5's dropped to 10's for 4 (knackered! lol) superset with: Dips (on m/ch) x 3 12 x 12 plates on stack (supposed to be 10kgs each?!?) 12 x 13 12 x 14 Corr!! Arms felt great (knackered, but great!) Got my rest day today too which I'm surprisingly ready for tbh! Can't figure out sometimes how I kept myself going without a complete rest day for I don't know how long! Auto-pilot I think!! Going to make the most of my day and catch up on housey stuff too. BTW - arms are dead sore!

Ok, I know I've not been around for a day or so as I'm getting fed-up with wrestling with the internet. It keeps crashing when I've just written a whole of load!! . Never mind though - I'm still here!! Training yesterday went reasonably well although I didn't feel quite as strong for some reason, maybe I was just tired? CV x 65mins pre-brekkie Legs after work: 45 degree leg press x 4 15 x 40kg 12 x 80, 120, 160 kg SLDL (DBs) x 3 12 x 27.5, 30kgs x 2 Lunges x 3 12 x 12.5kg DBs x 3 I decided to superset my curls with extensions - just a bit of variety!! Seated Leg Curls x 3 15 x 35kg on stack 12 x 40 & 45kg on stack Extension x 3 15 x 6 plates on stack 15 x 5 plates (ooo thighs were a-burning!! lol) Did a few sets of crunches superset with reverse crunches too!! Not bad overall, bit pooped mind! Diet - same as ever!! I updated James yesterday too and I'm pleased (really pleased) to report that I appear to have lost 1 1/2lbs this week - hooray!!! Can see some differences in abs, arms, shoulders and my lats too - I wasn't at all convinced last week there'd been any change, but definately yesterday - I found a new 'dent' in my arm too! (Think it's the start of a bit of separation between my delt and bicep!! he,he!) Today then - chest and calves (bit of an odd combination you might think - but it works for me! ). Chest: Incline press x 4 (1 warm up set) 15 x 10kg DBs 12 x 12.5kgs 10 x 15kgs 9 x 17.5kgs (Yay!!) 10 x 15kgs Incline flyes x 3 12 x 10, 12.5 & 15 kgs Cable cross-overs x 3 (on new machine, which isn't wide enough, so did these one side at a time - sounds odd, looks silly but it did feel like it was working so hey-ho, going to look like a dafty when I do these!! ) 12 x 14kg on stack Calves: 3 sets on standing raise m'ch - needs muchos paddingos for my wee bony shoulders!! 15 x 67.5, 90 & 105 kgs on stack Seated Raises x 3 15 x 5, 7 & 6 plates on stack That's it! Job done!! Hope you're all ok, going to look in on everyone else just now!!

Them arms are getting bigger Single arm cable cross overs are brilliant, I do them pretty regular now after getting the tip from Tania's other half. I've even got some of the guys in my gym doing it and they complain it hurts

Hi Nikkie I have spoke to Wayne about you - you're in safe 'hands'. It will hurt, but hurt good. He'll litterally pull the separation in the legs apart and improve shape and image. Expect DOMS on Sunday!! Keep up with everythig else

Hello!!! I've decided to quickly post someething so that you all know that I'm still alove 'n' well!! lol. Been having so much trouble with the internet at home lately which won't be resolved now until at least Saturday afternoon so I know I've been AWOL lately, but with good reason!! Just to bring you all up to date - diet's goin well, training is the same as ever, (getting a few reps with heavier weights in the last week or so on a couple of exercises too! - bonus!) . BTW - survived my massage on Saturday, had my legs and my back done - great! Bit sore Sunday though, I didn't expect my back to ache more than my legs, I suppose that's a good distraction! lol. Picked up a couple of top tips for a couple of poses too - really good and I've been practising in my new kini top!! It's lurvely!! . Spoken with James today and based on a slight (1/2lb-ish) weight loss and the changes that I think have happened, he says to leave things as they are again and I'm due to see him next Thursday (8th) to see what he thinks and I'm having another massage on the same day too!! (Getting intensive this!). Think I might've made James smile / laugh as I told him I'm a little bit anxious as I've only got 9 weeks left! He's made it clear that 9 weeks is ages! , but the last 7 weeks have absolutely flown by! lol. Anyway, other than that lot, I don't think there's much else happening this end at the min. If I can get onto the internet later though I'll post my training as it li'l leggies (or not so li'l leggies tonight, gonig to see if I can squeeze a bit more out of myself before I walk out like John Wayne!he,he!). Oh dear - can you tell I'm buzzing? Haven't even had a coffee during the day so can't blame that!

9 weeks is enough time to make a huge difference if you do things right and not enough if you dawdle along Always amazes me how much the body can change in such short time, much quicker than it used to do when I did my numerous years of yoyo dieting.

Hi folks - I'm back!!! (Might be intermittant though! ). Kitty - it's now less than 8 weeks and I'm worrying (no change there), I'm meeting with James on Thursday this week though, so hopefully, he'll sort me out!! It's just my bottom half really, bain of most ladies lives though eh?! Chrissie - been into your journal - you're looking fab!! Internet is iffy to say the least at the minute, got the engineer coming out again later today so hopefully by this time tomorrow it'll be service as normal!! RIght then - a quick update rather than my usual novel!! Diet plan has remained the same again following James' advice on Monday, no problems to report, although I was so cheesed off last night on the way home I decided to have some sugar free jelly and bought some sugar free gum too!! . Right miffed (putting it mildly!) as 2 guys at the gym that are usually pretty understanding of what I'm doing said that I look manly!! Gutted, I don't want to look manly - who does, apart from men?! Stupid isn't it the things that knock your confidence though. So based on that, I painted my nails, put some fake tan on and sat and had a lovely mackerel salad and then my jelly!! Didn't help when I told Bri either. Absolutely no idea on how to offer any comfort sometimes - hmm, men! (Sorry guys!) Training has been going really well, normal stuff and everything seems to be going to plan! I've been trying to blast my calves as per advice and oh!! Before I forget, my massage went really well last Saturday too - it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, although he did say he'd 'taken it steady', we'll see how it goes Thursday after I've seen James, I've got another one booked!! It was great to have a bit of time to pick his brains too on some posing tips (like getting my lats to show!), good feedback though which helped! Got to say though I'm not impressed with my abs at the minute, need to shift a bit more IMO, we'll see though, got 8 weeks to go tomorrow 'til D-Day!! oo-er scared again!! lol.

Hey up What's this about meso-cycles, how many wheels do they have then? Only jokin'! Thanks for the offer of help. I'll see how I get on, but might just take you up on the offer You sound as if you're doing really well - WELL DONE! You've got time to put right the things you aren't happy about, I reckon you'll be spot on come comp day. Don't let other peoples frivolous comments get you down. Listen to the experts only

Hi NDB!! I tell you what, until you get it cracked, those mesocycles may as well have bloomin' wheels on them!! pmsl! If, when you start the course they mention them and you want things in excel form to make a wee bit easier, just give me a shout and I'll whizz my files over to you flower! As for the bits I'm worried about, I'm hoping James comes up with an honest and knowledgeable opinion as ever on Thursday!! I've got to say, I'd rather be too lean for the first show so that we can get it spot on for the second rather than the other way around!! I'm a nightmare and I'm sure James has realised that by now!! he,he! Howz things your end? Looked pretty good when I dropped in earlier.

Jam is yuck at the best of times, wouldn't dream of it whilst I'm dieting (well not yet anyway, I've heard women in office talking about getting desperate for chocs 'n' biscuits and eating almost anything that fits into the category, including pocket fluff if it's attached!! lol). Besides that, James would flatten me on Thursday if I'd eaten jam I reckon!! lol Did you get round to trying the mushrooms? didnt realise I put jam, oops(yes blame the diet) Yeah the mushrooms are back in...yummy

Thanks everyone!! Following the comments made by 2 powerlifters not even 7 stone weaklings, I had become a little self-conscious of my arms - then I thought sod 'em! . Simzy - I'll let you off, had to mention it in case James thought I'd eaten jam - I reckon he'd strangle me!! lol. Cookie - I keep saying I'm going to think about posting my piccies, I'm just nervous!! lol. (Roughly translated, that means wimp!! lol ). I will get some decent ones and get them on here before much longer - I've now promised, so I've got to!! Thanks James - pmsl!! That would've been better than scuttling off into the corner to finish my workout!!! They were sat side by side on a bench, could've bashed them both at the same time - should've told them b****cks really on reflection!! lol. See you and Wayne Thursday, I've been practising my posing when I can so I'm hoping you'll see a difference. Oh - and before I forget, I appeared to have lost a little again this week and I'm starting to notice very slight changes to my thighs too (could be imagination, could be a trick of light - I'll go by your verdict though!). No problems regards diet, training remaining the same for the time being as it seems to be working!
