You are looking really great there, and sure that cardio you are starting will make that difference you want in your legs.
Off to see chrissie tomorrow.

Thanks folks - nice comments, it's really weird seeing pics of yourself on here (at first at least!).

CD - Yup - 7 weeks tomorrow and I'm getting my first show under my belt - soooo excited/nervous/anxious for my legs 'n' butt, hey-ho!! Arms day for me today too - they're the reason I got told I look manly! Do you see why now? pmsl! Am planning on wearing my new vest today can't decide whether to be a complete fool and wear to the gym, or just for shopping afters? Mmmm, dilemma!! lol

Caz - say good luck to Chrissie from me if you will flower, thanks for the support re: cardio and legs - it'd better get 'em through, darn things!

Simzy - I try to forget I've got to go to work - but I remember each day to get up just after 5 so that I can get it all done and off in time for worky-poos!! How's it going for you? Can you believe it's only 7 weeks??!!

Right, gonna reply to Tan and get the rest of my coffee down me (probably literally!) and get my 75 mins done - I've put Casino Royale on this morning - that should help!?

Thanks Tan - comments mean a lot considering your connections!!! We'll see how the next couple of weeks shape me up with the extra cardio and reduced carbs and hopefully I'll be doing my hopping about clapping my hands next time I take photies!!

On the calve raise front - definately lurve doing these on the leg press now - much easier and I don't have to break my back / squash my spine by 2 feet to get 'em done!! Much happier bunny about training them now, I won't be cringing at the idea of it come Tuesday!!

It'll happen - just stick with it!! Have faith in yourself too, besides, we gotta show that a-hole at the gym that commented on you don't forget!!! And got to be honest - nothing's going to get in the way this time (grrrrrr!!) he,he!! Booked hubby's golf trip and everything!!! So, hopefully, the whole thing is sorted.

I don't think James, Wayne 'n' Hazel can believe he doesn't know / hasn't realised yet, fingers crossed he'll continue to think I'm just-a-dieting!!! (Keep everything crossed!!pmsl - I'm sooo awful aren't I - ah well, guilt didn't last long )

Is your hubbie on a golf trip when you compete?

You look more than on track to me from those photos. Excellent hardness on the back and I so want your biceps .

What are you doing for cardio?

'My connections' LOL. Doesn't make me an expert Honey by any stretch Trust me...I'm a nitwit

Just one question though/ Is one of your bi's (left I think without looking back a page at the photo) larger than the other or is it just the pose? Super duper bi's BTW and not manly at all. Next time someone says that tell em to get back to their Mrs with her bingo wings (if a bloke) and if a woman tell her at least you won't take off by flapping your arms

Ignore that lol. It was your right one and I think it's the pose. You have you forearm rotated in on one arm and out of the other I'll now go and sit in my nitwit corner

Yep!! Hubby has a surprise golf break booked for the 28th/29th June with one of his friends who is sworn to secrecy so that I can get tanned up on the Saturday and have no negativity in the evening or the morning of!! (I am sooo wicked - I think it's just a case of do that for the first and then break it to him as gently as possible for the 2nd!).

Thanks for the comments on my progress too btw - I'm pretty pleased with my upper half, just need to get the bottom to talk to the top now! lol. James did say Thursday that I'm a bit ahead really and didn't want to change things too much, I pursuaded him though! .

I'm using my bike for cardio most mornings as I can use the steady incline cycle programme it has which keeps my heart rate about right once I'm warmed up, I use my step sometimes for variety and the cross-trainer at the gym for the evening sessions that I have. Just hope it brings them on that's all!

PMSL - bingo wings! Found out there may be a motive behind the comments from the 2 lads today - one apparently has taken a shine to me - fruit loop obviously!! lol. Ah well - now I understand!! Say something daft 'cos I don't know what else to say to you kinda thing - I'm assuming?!

My left bicep is slightly smaller than my right so I've been trying to do an extra couple of reps on conc curls and db curls to bring it up a bit, I think it's working (mmm - maybe?). And I'm sure you're no nitwit flower, maybe just modest? he,he! I'm in need of some posing help too so I'm hoping to get to the next BNBF meet (didn't realise there was one on tomorrow 'til Hazel told me Thursday - defo want to come along to the following one though).

No-one can say I'm not trying though eh? Got to admit - I'm loving it at the minute even though hubby has admitted he doesn't like it much - compared it to an eccles cake! Sometimes you really fancy one, but other times you'd just rather you didn't have one! (That's the comparison for the 80:20 fancy your wife rationale!!! Nearly killed me trying not to laugh!)

Not had a good week, week before wasnt great either(few family probs etc) and no real training and the diet next week could be dodgy next week as off on that business course in London. Not looking good for me at the moment.

Atleast your looking bang on track though

Hi Phil - thanks for the supportive comments!!

Shame about your situation at the min - all you can do next week is try and eat as close to plan as you can and get whatever training in that you can, sorry to hear it's not been a good time of things lately. Keep your chin up best you can!! Good luck for next week, I'm sure you'll be fine!

Hiya NDB - thanks! Was sooo nervous about posting them (i've chopped my legs off for the time being too! lol). 7 weeks tomorrow - can hardly believe it! When I decided to go for it I had 17 weeks to the show, dread to think how quickly it's going to go, the last 10 have absolutely flown by!! he,he!!

How's things going your end? I'll pop into your journal tonight or tomorrow - hope your daughter's doing well bless her!

Could I recommend you try a stepper for cardio rather than bike?

Hope all goes well with hubbie must be adding a little more pressure to your situation

I know the step is better for glutes etc, I'm just not convinced by the mini one I have tbh, and the gym I go to doesn't open until 9.00 so using their super-duper ones is out unfortunately . I've looked on-line to see if I can get an ex-demo one or something that has a larger range of movement that won't take up the whole house, any thoughts? All advice much appreciated - dont mind one bit!! The more the better!!

As for pressure at the min from hubby - it's ok tbh, it might get a bit tricky in a few more weeks mind, (she says optimistically!) but at the minute - I think he's resigned himself to my dieting for the time being anyway!

The mini steppers are better than nothing. Try leaning forward a little so it targets the glutes a bit more (I used to lean on the back of my sofa). Most commercial steppers I can think if are pretty big. I've got a life fitness one and it's huge. The smallest one I can think of is the Stairmaster ( http://shop.healthclubsathome.com/stairmaster-4400cl-stepper-mrrp-1899-our-price-250-13-p.asp ) There are some domestic versions of this one available.

You look in really good shape and you can come in so much more in the remaining weeks! Really nice pictures! SMILE!!!!

Just keep at it - and agree steppers fab for the old legs!!! Just read a comp write up from yesterday and agree with the comments that my glutes and hams need to come in tighter so will be joining you as you step my lovely!

Nice to put a face to a name now!!!

Thanks for the tips kitty! I'd read somewhere on here ages ago that Avril (Ripped Glutes) uses a mini step and leans forward - I suppose that's an advert in itself really isn't?! Will see if the wee thing withstands 75 mins in the morning .

Chrissie - I get so nervous going to see James I only smile nervously!! lol, once we've been through what needs to be done though I usually relax - exam time over so to speak!! pmsl. Thanks for the comments too flower - I'm not the most photogenic subject eh?!! he,he! Can't wait to see your latest pics missus - hard to believe your first one is done!!
