She's doing figure, but I agree about your comment on their size!

James you might want to have a look at some pics of last year's winner Rosie Harte in comparison... As much as she was the hands down winner a lot were saying she was too lean and hard for Figure... I was definitely too soft and not lean enough but I'd probably agree that she was more on the Physique side...

But Nikki, nothing to worry about, I think you look fantastic, especially for 13 weeks out...

Chrissie - I know I awful!! Keeping it on the quiet is fairly easy at the min, probably 'cos he's just thinking I'm dieting for a while and I'm just doing my little routine!! Bless him, I do feel a bit guilty, I'd rather this than him being peeved all the time!

I'm hoping I'll do fab on the day(s) and I'm sure your right about the smiling myself silly bit! I keep giggling to myself now 'cos I'm really excited! lol

James - will keep you posted re: HIIT after Wednesdays session (I won't do extra intervals to make the time up ), I'm going to try the x-trainer for that one! That'll be a killer I think, but I bet I end up laughing - only 'cos it'll hurt!! lol

You're getting me worried now - with my HUGE biceps!! pmsl! . Only kidding - I didn't think they were that big, maybe need some new glasses!?

Hi FLick - thanks for the comments, feels good to get some feedback from you all, although I am now slightly worried about my li'l arms! lol.

I'm hoping to get pretty lean over the next few weeks as I've got a local show in just under 7 weeks now so I need to get my legs through as I'm happy (more or less) with my top half, just a teensy bit more and I'm thinking, based on James' review etc, top half is sorted. I know James will get my lower half there too - I'd much rather be too lean first time out that not lean enough as I've got 7 weeks between shows to get it right!! Ooh - so exciting!!

How's things going for you lately? Sorry I haven't been into your journal for a bit - will do though!

Nikkie - I am sure you will be fine! It is really thrilling to see the bottom bit come up! Mine is getting there, actually look better today than I did on Saturday, which is slightly worrying!!

Can you remind me which two shows you are doing? Need to put them in my little reminder book as my brain is absolutely fried!

Really good to see so many girls going for the stage this season!!!

I hope so Chrissie - I have every faith in James and I so want to do it this year, I know you know that feeling!! . I've heard a lot of others I've known in the past say they looked better the day or 2 after a show - don't know if that's something to do with extra carbs replacing the glycogen in your muscles again or not? I'm just guessing! . You did look good though and I bet it felt amazing!

The 2 shows I'm definately doing are:

Future Physiques (which is a local area show on Sunday 29th June!!) Just under 7 weeks!!
NPA Heart of England - Sunday 17th August - 7 weeks later!

Can hardly wait though now and I'm sure I'm driving James mad as I want to be lean - yesterday!! .

You know what Kitty - the thought had crossed my mind to do the Central - providing I'm in condition and I get to meet up with you guys to go through posing (and the T walk!)

That would mean 1 each month for 3 months (that's a lot of golf trips to book though!! pmsl!!! ).

Do think James would strangle me if I included another show into the timetable? We could see how the first one goes and then assess condition, timing etc, that would still give time to join & submit my entry (I think). Any thoughts?

Chrissie - got to be and will be leaner!!! Grrrrr those thighs!!!

Cookie - they don't have a beginners category, I did think though that we could possibly get up on stage together for the H of E!? Just a thought, that would give you time between the BNBF and the NPA to firm up even more! Plus it'd be great fun to be in it together so to speak!

Nikkie - to answer your question in my journal:

Hubby was well impressed once I had the tan on (applied by him, so he was smiling - very intimate job!) the slap on and the bikini and heels - he was blown away. He said his knees were shaking when I first come out on stage as he was so nervous for me! I could see him (well, he is six foot seven!) standing up and shouting at me to turn more on a pose - or sharpen up! He is so fired up now about the next one, it's unbelievable! Anyone would think he was on stage himself!

I think once you are in context, up there with other girls, looking the part, fit and healthy, glowing with confidence, your hubby would be so proud of you! You will need someone with you at the shows - it makes such an emotional diference. If you leave him out of what will undoubtably be one of the best days of your life, he will feel even worse about it! Why don't you give him the choice?

You tend to get in better shape the more shows you do, or that was certainly the case for me last year...

And on the topic of days after shows... You tend to look fuller due to the extra carbs but often very watery which is a bit bleurgh

I'm so eloquent!

And CD, NPA Figure consists of quarter turns, compulsories and a routine, no T-Walk (easier IMO)... Might be more suited to your bodyshape too...
