Now are you sure you want to do the BNBF Central?... I was hoping I would be the only one and win be default Back up plan for me now then stick to diet and do more cardio !

I wished for that last year and ended up on stage against the girl who was 2nd in the finals the year before Needless to say I lost... Or was 2nd... lol

She's doing the Centrals again this year... Just found out however that my pal is not... Don't think the diet is working out...
Renee -who you met at the London Club Jess, is still competing though apparently

It'll be nice, there'll be a nice gaggle of new girls on stage together at the Centrals, you'll have a grand time!

Sounds like it might be fun/scary ..........!!

Hope we all do have a grand time of it - still, Cookie and I might yet decide to go and hold each others hand at the Northern show yet as we're both still wearing our L plates!! pmsl!

Ok then - diet and training for the last couple of days has stayed the same as normal more or less!

75 mins stepper
7.00am Breakfast: 30g oats, 100ml s.milk, 2 kiwi, 4 egg whites +1/2 yolk
10.00am 80g (cooked weight) chicken + apple
1.00pm 80g chicken + 20g rice + cucumber, carrot & pepper
4.00pm 20g oats, 1/2 tsp ground linseed, 30g whey, 1 apple
30 mins pre-wk out: 1/2 oatcake + banana
Immediately pre-wk out: 1/2 oatcake
Post wk-out: 15g dextrose, 5g glutamine + 20g whey
Dinner 45 mins later: 70g mackerel + salad/veggies
Pre-bed: 100ml s.milk + 20g casein

Corr - seems like a lot when you type it out again!!

Weights yesterday: Shoulders (tired again so left it at that!!)

Lat Raise x 3
12 x 7.5kg
12 x 10kgs x 2

15 x 120kgs
12 x 120kgs x 2
12 x 160kgs x 2

That should hopefully start to have some sort of impact on the darn things!! Hope those are heavy enough James to meet your heavy raises request!! lol

Quite tired once I'd finished off too, ok now though since I've eaten - just about to give Cookie a call to arrange meeting up in Birmingham on Sunday to go to the NABBA show!! Hooray - new real life friend!! pmsl!

Oh FLick - you wouldn't believe the chaos! We arranged to meet at the venue at 1.30, I got stuck in traffic 'cos the motorway was closed off and then every car being directed off was trying to find their way on all the roads from where I was. Then I rang hubby for directions (that didn't go well!) so I said I'd get there if I could! Cookie's hubby was going, then said he wasn't so she set off on her lonesome to get a slow puncture and not make it either!

Bloody nightmare and I feel like a right let down too! So - public apology to Cookie from me. Sorry flower. .

On a lighter note though, training and the diet have been going pretty well although I've not posted for a couple of days. I emailed James my update from this mornings weigh-in. I don't seem to have lost anything this week, and I told him I cheated yesterday.....I had sugar free jelly when I eventually made it home and then 5 super-strong pickled onions! I think he may have laughed at the other end of the email!?

Apart from that, my thighs may have started to show the slightest hint of improvement this week, 6 weeks as yesterday to my first show and I'm poopin' it!!

Anyway Flick - how's you feeling now?

I really wouldn't class sugar-free jelly as a cheat... Sorry but I wouldn't... And the pickles... No idea... bleurgh! Sounds like a pregancy craving tho lol

Were you planning to make it to any other shows before the BNBF Central?

Hi FLick - don't worry - I've always loved really strong pickles, I blame it on my Grandad as he used to 'do his own' when I was a kid and we used to try them as the weeks passed (and compare the number of faces pulled I reckon!! lol). James did say I worry too much about what I consider cheats though when I confessed on Monday in my update to him.

I'm hoping to get to at least 2-3 shows before the Central - which I still haven't firmly decided I'm doing yet, I'm going to see what shape I'm in when I get the first one done (in 5 1/2 weeks!! can't believe how many weeks have flown by!). Depending on how many faces get pulled when I mention the show that's on this weekend (Sci-Mentor one in Ossett) and the fact I'd love to go will determine how many I get to in the end, but I MUST get to a couple!! How about you anyway? How you feeling now with your prep etc?

General update folks!

Training:
Monday - really tired so swapped leg sess for chest, 75 mins on stepper pre-breakfast, nothing new on the training front in terms of weights/reps etc (because I was knackered!!)

Tues - Legs!! I do love doing legs, even when I'm tired! lol.
Squats x 3 (plus 1 warm up)
12 x 40, 60, 70 kgs (oo-er!!)

45 deg. Leg Press x 3
12 x 120, 160, 180kgs

SLDL X 3
12 x 27.5kg, 30kgs dbs

Leg extension x 3
12 x 6, 7 plates x 2

Calves (on leg press) x 6
12 x 120kgs x 2
12 x 160kgs x 3
12 x 180kgs x 2

Plus 80mins on stepper pre-breakfast as I'm worried I'm not progressing particularly at the moment!! (please don't slap me when you see me next James - I can't help myself!! )

Today - 80 mins on stepper again - was bored after 50 and hungry too!! Still - I;d set my mind on 80 and 80 it was going to be!! lol

This evening was HIIT programme - having done legs yesterday I could really feel it in my thighs 'n' butt I can tell you! Great stuff though!! lol

Diet has remained the same again this week so that's a good sign hopefully! Although I've got to say I'm having a right fat, flabby, frumpy short of evening! I know we all have them, but I hate fat days, they make you feel so p**sed off!! Anyway, I'm not going to let it get to me too much - going for a long hot soak instead!!

Morning!! It's no good - I couldn't sleep any longer this morning!! I've been up 'n' about since 4.45 and I'm now finishing my coffee before stepping for 80mins. Why doen't the prospect fill me with dread? Must be either nuts or on auto-pilot!!? lol

I'm thinking of trying to book tomorrow afternoon off work as 1 - I fancy having an afternoon snooze to make up for waking up so early (every day), and 2 - the house could do with a 2 hour womanly blitz! I'll have to see - would be therapeutic though!

Hope you're all doing ok - diet for today is:

7.00 30g oats, 100ml s.milk, 2 kiwi, 4 egg whites + 1/2 yolk, 1/2 tbsp ground linseed

10.00 80g chicken + apple + green tea

1.00 80g chicken, 20g b.basmati rice, cucumber & carrot sticks + 1/2 red pepper
+ green tea.

4.00 20g oats, 1/2 tsp ground linseed, 30g whey + apple

5.00 1/2 oatcake, banana + green tea

Imm. pre-wk out 1/2 oatcake

Weights: Back - I lurve back days!! Going to see if I can get a PB on single arm row (one of my faves!!) - just for the hell of it btw! Keeps it interesting! (Going to leave Chrissie to the pull-up marathon she's shared with us in her journal - having a go at 1 0r 2 on Staurday morning though!! lol).

Imm. post wk-out 15g dextrose, 5g glutamine + 20g whey

45mins-ish later 70g mackerel, 20g b.basmati rice + loads of broc, cauli, a few peas +
1 carrot & green tea

Pre-bed 100ml s.milk + 20g casein

I think I'll be in bed for about half past 9 tonight - I'm going to be knackered after such an early start!! lol

Nikiie my angel, you are doing loads of cardio. Don't burn yourself out will you? I don't think it is that you have to go to extremes (like me and my butt issues!) - tempting to want to go overboard sometimes though, isn't it?!

In answer to your 'personal question' in my journal - no mine have not stopped. I have a Mirena fitted so it releases hormones at a set time every month anyway - not like your young fertile body which will be much more sensitive to low body fat etc. Mother natures way of ensuring you don't get pregnant whilst not being able to sustain a pregnancy - which you cannot do well if you are v low body fat! Nothing to worry about if you are only doing this type of thing now and again, more of a worry if you had an eating disorder and were permenantly scrawny!!!

Or you could be pregnant - lol!

Short of getting one of my colleagues to whip the Mirena out during his lunch hour (not a good thing!) I am stuck with being at the mercy of three inches of copper which will probably mean I get my period at the BNBF Scottish!

Thanks for the reply Chrissie - I forget that other women use other methods which ensure regularity!! I'm just making the most of it for the few months of absence (and dreading their return with a vengence more than likely!! ). I've just read in your journal about the amount of cardio you've been doing - it's WAY more than I am at the moment! You really are super-charged!! lol

Diet and training update - I'm sooooo predictable! No deviation from my plans other than suger free jelly and gum as before, apart form the pickled onions at the weekend (much to a few peoples amusement at my guilt! ).

Training, I was totally knackered yesterday so decided against doing back and opted for shoulders & abs instead (did 80 mins cardio before breakfast like a good girl!!).

Today - took half a days leave so I could come back and snooze for an hour or so - which I did and I so needed it too! Woke up, had smoothie, Bri arrived home just as I was leaving for the gym to do arms 'n' calves. Nothing spectacular to report on that front except arms are bloomin' sore after that! Got lunches 'n' stuff to prepare, washing to do, washing up and goodness knows what else as I'm planning on going to the Sci-mentor show tomorrow!! I'll be on my lonesome so someone expect me to tag along - Cookie it'll probably be you (or Hazel if I can spot you!! ).

Okey-dokey then, better get my butt into a couple more journals before I whizz round like a loon!!

nikkie the only reason I need to do copious lots of cardio is down to my aged bod and thighs that refuse to go quietly!

Have a great weekend!

Had a fab weekend!!! Been like a woman possessed though - absolutely full of energy and fired up for training this morning (got HIIT to do in a couple of hours though - so let's hope it lasts!!!), I was informed today that if some of my friends had to put up with me being so full of it they'd probably throttle me!! (What does that tell you!? ).

Saturday was great fun - got up and did cardio x 80mins stepper, over to the gym for a back session then off to the Sci-Mentor show and met up with Cookie, Kitty & husbands, James & Hazel! Great show, even better company I have to add! I was pooped by the time I got back as I left the house at 8.30am and got home at 9.20pm!! Absolutely worth it!!

As Sunday is my rest day, I took complete advantage and did sod all!! Felt much better for the rest (had a lie-in until 6.15am, woken by the hairy kid needing to go out!!). Today - weigh in & measurements (seem to have lost 1 lb!!), cardio x 80mins stepper and then at the gym - LEGS!!! Something strange about enjoying doing legs - I know we've had the conversation before, but I can't help myself!!! lol

I've taken Kittys advice and increased weights today - felt good though! Diet is the same too btw!

Squat x 5 (1 warm up)
12 x 20kgs (warm up set)
12 x 40 & 60 kgs
10 x 70 & 80 kgs!!! Yay-me!!

SLDL (DBs)
12 x 27.5, 30, 32.5kgs

Leg Press x 3
12 x 120, 160, 200kgs

Leg Curl super-setted with Leg Extensions x 3

12 x 45kgs x 2, 12 x 50kgs on stack (LC)
12 x 6 & 2 x 7 plates on stack (LE)

Hobbled home after that!!! he,he!!

What's all this about physiqe my angel!!!!!

Must say when I saw your last progress pics I thought you could possibly do well as a physique girl! What is it with all the defections from figure!!! Do people not like the hooker look?????

As I am 5 foot 6 inches of nothingness, I am sticking to my figure class and drag queen get up!

Soon you all won't want to associate with me....sniff.....feels sorry for self.....

Don't go off crying in your heels flower! Figure is the initial aim (I've spent a bloomin' fortune on them there hooker shoes!! pmsl (I tend to refer to them as my slut shoes though!!)). Although, after meeting Dawn on Saturday she mentioned that the BNBF do move you from figure to physique if they think it appropriate on the day so my fate will lie in their hands as well as in James'. I hadn't even dreamt that I would be considered as physique, didn't think there was enough muscle tbh! We'll just have to see .

BTW - if you are by any chance a size 4 shoe, I've got some spare shoes that I ordered and then found some with a smaller platform, which I'm less likely to make a flying entrance onto the stage in!! If you or anyone you know is interested, let me know!!

Did HIIT this evening as I didn't have a chance to do it on Saturday due to being at the show and I've got to say that doing that on top of 80mins stepper and a heavier than usual leg sess I could feel the higher stages!! My poor (not so) wee thighs were so burning!! and it was still amusing in an ouch, ouch, ouch kinda way!! lol.

Let's see how it goes in the morning on that stepper (after I fll down the stars with my broken butt!!)

Howdie, as I said go for figure and if the judges think you're in the wrong class they'll tell you. They did it with me in '05 and Anita last year. Of course I'm only judging from your arms and shoulders but you could sit well in either class from what I've seen. Glad you put the weight up and well done.....great squats
