NIkkie, I eat out at weekend with my hubbie when I diet for a littel normality. I stick to fish and salad/veg and it always tastes better because someone else has made it.

You're doing some cracking training here Nikki, well done. Looking well on target for HoE I imagine.

Thanks TT!! Hope you're right about being right on target for HoE (and hopefully the local one too - the pressure's mounting for that, at the last quick count there's at least a dozen of gym bods planning to come along!! So def need to be in tip-top shape by 29th June and even better by 17th Aug! Ooooh - scarey stuff!! lol).

Diet seems to be going well, everything seems fairly comfortable for most of the time too which is great (bit weak before lunch and after training, but I think based on last year, that's what I expect!).

Training today - back (& calves as I ran out of steam and time yesterday!!)

Decided to train with a bit less rest today too which always makes a difference, refused to do lighter weights too! Stubborn little thing really!! lol.

Seated row x 4
12s x 6, 7, 8 & 9 plates on stack (meant to be 10kgs each! oo-er!)

Single Arm Row x 3 (Can't work out why I lover doing these - but I do!!)
12s x 25kg, 27.5kg, 30kg. The 30s actually felt quite comfortable(-ish) tonight, I'm starting to scare myself with that one - he,he! Will, providing I feel the same next week (and if Centre Parcs gym has 32.5kgs dbs) try and get a heavier set, even if it's only 8 for the first week or so, might be a nice little challenge!!

Straight Arm Pulldown x 3
15's x 3 on stack

Calves:

Standing Calf-raise m/ch x 3
15 x 60, 67.5 & 70kgs on stack.

That was that for tonight really, sounds like I've not done as much though! Wanted to get home a bit earlier tonight though as we had some bad news last night about our Little Grandad, so wanted to make sure I was around for Bri if I was needed.

Hope you're all doing ok with things btw! I'm still trying to keep my chin up as it helps keep you going - it works for me anyway.

I think that's partly the problem Kitty, I'm so used to cooking for myself that I can't trust anyone I don't know!! Hubby eats anything and doesn't care, I'm pretty boring really - I've got to make the effort to be a wee bit normal so that he doesn't want to strangle me this year!! lol

How's your mood going now? Feeling any better? Hope so

Thanks James - Snap! Looking forward to going through things and finding out what you think about where I'm at and how much work is left!! Less than 13 weeks now and I'm trying not to fret so much (for now anyway!)

Thanks TT, it was the worst news you can get TBH. He was Bri's Grandad and they were really close, so he's feeling it pretty hard just now, I'm upset on and off obviously, but nothing compared with hubby, I'm a bit worried about him, but hopefully he'll get himself ok in a few weeks. He keeps saying 'you are going training tonight aren't you?' It's almost like he wants normal as normal can be I think (either that or he does want me out of the house!?)

Training today as I've had hardly any sleep the last couple of nights was 65mins cv pre-breakfast and 60 tonight, so I've jsut swapped my Wednesday 'n' Thursdays round a bit!

On the brighter side of things, I'm looking forward to speaking with James tomorrow albeit a bit nervous too! , hope he's not disappointed with my progress so far!!

I'll update you all tomorrow on that front! lol

Good luck with James, Nikkie!

Am probably quite lucky that I will never have to meet him in the flesh, so to speak! Mind you, never been on the receiving end of one of his bollockings yet either!

Nikkie has just left. I am very impressed. She is well ahead of target. No changes need be made as the fat loss is consistent. Upper body really isn't far off condition atall, thighs have great muscle development, but still need to lose some fat - very do-able in the time scale though. Calves are quite poor, some heavy calf raisers please Nikkie to try to bring them on.

The improvements since last year are phenominal - seriously Nikkie, you could have a very favourable future in this sport

You're right TT - he's such a good egg really bless him!

And thanks for the good luck wishes both you and Chrissie for my meeting with James! I was nervous before I got there (although, he's really not an ogre!!) and anxious about what the verdict would be, only to be embarrassed as he said some fab things!! Which he said he'd share on here too - I've got to say when I read it on here I got all embarrassed again - I literally have gone very flushed!

I'm a bit stunned really, I didn't anticipate that sort of feedback and certainly not that positive!

(If I'm honest, I'm right chuffed with my little self too! Had a huge self-indulgent grin on my face all the way back to the gym lol!! - Fuelled a good workout to boot!! )

James, thanks for being so nice and your comments are just, well, I'm chuffed to bits!! Thanks again.

Right then - back to training & diet!!

Cardio as normal this morning, food - same as before (can't believe no changes!! Amazed!) although I did stop off at Tesco and treated myself to a nice little bit of organic salmon for dinner - it was gorgeous!!

Chest today so:

Incline press x 4

15 x 10kgs
12 x 12.5 & 15kgs
10 x 17.5 - no one around to spot me, so I convinced myself whilst I was in such a good mood to go for it anyway without!!

Incline flyes x 3
12 x 10, 12.5 & 15kgs

DB Pullovers x 3
12 x 20kg (felt tooooo easy), 12 x 22.5 x 2 - much more like it!

Cable crossover x 4
12 x 2 on stack (meant to be 10kgs each)
3 sets of 12 x 3

And you know what - after meeting James and the lovely things he said about my progress and the honest ones, which I already knew really, I had 3 people comment on my shape 'n' stuff too!! Yay me!! pmsl!

You're not kidding Flick - still can't believe my ears!! lol.

I thought you'd decided on physique this year? What's made you wonder which, I'm sure if you felt you weren't ready for physique then some of your friends would have said so and stick with figure - I've got no doubts - there's no way I could do physique, not enough mass! Just think, you won't have to faff about in skyscraper shoes!!! lol

Are you thinking of doing any other shows this year like BNBF again?

Thank yourself too for the hard work you've put in to justify those comments. Well done, you obviously worked hard and to get such positive feedback that's brilliant.

You know what Kitty - I didn't even think about that!! I told one of the girls earlier how it had gone and she reminded me, as you just have that I do work at my training, and when I decide to do any sort of diet, I'm on it - that's that!

Can't wait to see how I'll change again before I go and see James again in May! Hope it's as good again! Fingers, ears, eyes, legs 'n' toes crossed!! lol. Feel so fired up because of the feedback too!!

Btw, I looked into your journal earlier, hope your hubby's getting sorted and that he's not suffering too much - sending you both my best wishes for a super quick recovery!

Postive comments are just so boosting as you've discovered.

Hubbie should be fine, he's not here tonight but his knee is apparently no worse than it normally feels. He thinks he's still playing in the final rugby game on the 19th....he'd better think again
