Hi Elsa! Indeed, at least you have a starting point of some muscle, so you're not playing catch up trying to gain massive amounts of muscle size and drop BF You can focus on your goals one at a time... With regard to your meals, I take it you're a veggie? Or just like Quorn?! Jess1eb on here is also a veggie so you two may want to swap ideas for inspiration The only point I noted (not knowing anything about protein ratios in Quorn) was that I think you could do with a real evening meal as in food... Cottage cheese and salad maybe? Do you eat fish at all? After exercise the PWO shake is great, but for your body to benefit you need some more solid, slower digesting food up to 45mins after this to be in your 'anabolic window'

Thursday Was good to have my BF back. Been at home all day and had a few neighbours visiting, while attempting to do some studying.... not highly motivated TBH. 0740: whey + glutamine, 50 min walk 0900: Porridge on sk.milk, oil, raisins, cinnamon + green tea 1130: proteinbar (gotta eat them up) and 1/2 nat youghurt (No fat, sugar) 1400: 1 wholemeal pitabread, 1 can drained tuna in oil, 1/2 yellow pepper, other green veggies, 1 tbs mayo + green tea 2 Rich tea biscuets at some point + green tea 1630: Whey protein + glutamine Back, calf Workout 1900: 2 chicken filets, 1 1/2 fajita, cucumber and spring onion, some barbecue sauce, 1 chocolate bite Now its 2045 and I'm still stuffed.... WO: Pulldown: 20kgx20x2, 30kgx12/10, 40kgx6 Narrow grip seated row: 30kgx12x2 Bent-over broad grip row: 30kgx10x3 Shrugs: 10kg each handx?, 12.5kgx12 Back extension 3x10 Sit ups declines 2x20 Standing calf raise: own body weightx3x?? Seated calf raise: 12.5x??x2 Cannot seem to get a grip on seated calf raise. No contact with muscle.... Feeling so tired now. Think it'll be an early night. Trying to take advantage over the jetlag I had and get up early early, but I'm afraid it is starting to wear off now. Not easy to get up in the morning anymore....

With regard to your meals, I take it you're a veggie? Or just like Quorn?! I just like quarn. But could easily be a veggie as I prefer vegetables and not a big meat eater in general. Don't like how full they make me feel. Jess1eb on here is also a veggie so you two may want to swap ideas for inspiration The only point I noted (not knowing anything about protein ratios in Quorn) was that I think you could do with a real evening meal as in food... After exercise the PWO shake is great, but for your body to benefit you need some more solid, slower digesting food up to 45mins after this to be in your 'anabolic window' Thank for the feedback... it opened up a few questions though... What is PWO shake? I do sometimes have cottage cheese in the evening if I get cravings for something. I do have a plan in my head for how it's ideally supposed to be, and that does include something in the evening, however I'm not very good at sticking to it 100%... I'm trying to eat more a diet with 150 gram protein, 150 gram carbs and 67 grams fat. Nigeepoo's suggestion as I'm not very active through the day. I do agree with you that there are some alterations needed, especially around my training times... But I haven't gotten that far yet in my diet yet and know little about it. What do you mean when you say anabolic window? Sorry, I'm abit new with all the terms here

Hurray.... I'm a senior member now ahh.. so easy to please Been a beautiful day. nice and sunny. Had to work all day though but I got a really good workout doing the spinning today and walked for 30 min with a friend straight after. Didn't give me time to do my shoulder/biceps workout though, but I can do that tomorrow before going to work anyway... Diet has not been good today. Too little protein and too many biscuets. Thats what happens when I don't fill up on the right stuff first and last. 0800: I had my usual breakfast incl protein and glutamin. Never changes :) 1030: 3 digestives and 1 cup green tea 1230: 1 brown roll, 3 hamslices, salad, 1 tbs coleslaw, 1 large scoop cold cauliflower/cheese 1500: Bigfellas proteinbar, 2 tbsp cottage cheese, 2 tbs nat youghurt 1630: Gym +walk 1900: 1 potato, 1 portion Birds eye vegetablemix, 1 filet smoked haddock, white sauce 3 mini chocolates + 2 shortbreads green tea and 2 liter water(in total) Not the best by far. Have to work more on it. More protein. Get the routines in and eat smilar stuff to similar times... like routines

Going off the amounts you have given from Nige you should be on about the same as me but I may be a bit more active than you during the day. It's soooooooooooo confusing working out what to eat and what not to isn't it. It's done my head in over the last month. I have no problem maintaining a nice constant weight but I was buggered when I tried to loose anything lower that 62kg...my lovely sticking point lol. I know I've made some gains end of last year and beginning of this one (arms, back & shoulders mostly) so am now trying to shed some BF. I am now at the wonderful 62kg sticky and have cleaned my eating right up but have included cheats to keep me sane. At least this way I planned my own diet and it has food in it that I actually eat. I worked out the values of the foods that were a basic in my diet and then planned around that. It may work...it may not....but I'll suck it and see what happens, alterations can always be made as and when needed!

It's so true, ElfinTan. I speculate about it all the time, but I won't let myself go hungry though, so if I am hungry I will eat what is available. Because of that I think it's important for me to have ready packed food for the whole day. problem then is my workplace where we eat all meals with the clients. Working 24 hours at a time is my main problem area for my diet, but I try to find and eat the healthiest stuff there I don't think Im active enough through the days I'm off work. I've added in morning walks on the days I'm off to increase my activity level. However I do feel OK with eating between 1800-2200 kcal a day... activity dependent. It's a week since I got home from the holidays and I jumped on the scale today. 67kg exactly. thats down 1,2kg. I haven't been below 65 kg since I was 17 and started the pills I think it'll be hard work to get me down to +/-62 kg. It's important for me that it's pure fat that's going off though as I'm still trying to gain musclemass. Most of my fat lay around my thighs and I'm thinking if I do keep up the cardio it must slowly come off...?? Diet wise I'm aiming to keep on what been written down so far, and try to personalize the portion sizes of the food I prefer to eat and keep that as a guidance. In the past I've never stuck to one diet or workout. Very little patience, but I'm learning here that you do need to be more patience and stay focused all the time Saturday morning and plan for teh rest of the day: 0830: Met-RX Whey + glutamine cardio (stepping machine) 50 min 1000: 45gram porridge, 1 small handfull raisins, cinnamon, 1 tbs oliveoil, omega 3, multivit, CLA 1230: 1/2 Met-Rx + glutamine Workout Shoulders and biceps + cardio intervall post workout: 1/2 Met-Rx + glutamine Work at 1400-tomorrow

I think you should be brave and jump on the scales anyway, otherwise you'll just be in denial about the little munch up you had yesterday... It's a nasty shock to the system but one I'd recommend for putting things into perspective...

Knowing Caz it won't be anything sinister Elsa ....oh I see she's answered whilst I've been typing. You can always mail her the info if you don't want to say anything on line. Indeed when I joined up I was a little wary of what I said but most know my real name now from comps and many have met so I'm pretty open now but understand those who don't wish to be so
