How do!

Well the kind lads at Anabolic Xtreme have sent me a bottle of their new MassFX product. I've ran the original and I have to say it gave great pumps. I did run it while on an Epistane cycle however so I don't really know what effect it had on gains etc, so it'll be interesting to see just how well this new MassFX fares.

Training: At the moment I'm cutting however I've been having problems with my left leg so I'm a bit gutted really. I've been getting a pain to the right of my shin, right at the side, for a couple of months now and it's getting worse. I've been told to give running a miss for a week or two and see if it heals, if not I'll have to go to the doctor. Cross trainer, walking etc is fine, just running. And I love running, so I'm pretty gutted. Running formed the main part of my cardio routine and I'm unsure whether I'll be able to burn enough calories off through the other machines. I suppose time will tell.

Weights: I like to mix things up with my weight/reps. I usually do a set or two with a lightish weight to do more reps, then just bump it up till I'm only managing 4-6 reps, e.g. tricep rope pulldown start on 40kgs for 2 x 15 reps, 50kgs 1 x 10, 60kgs 1 x 6. My strength dropped a fair bit when I upped my cardio and dropped my calories but my recent Cissus-Drol cycle helped get my strength up a few notches. At the moment I'm doing the following:

Bench: 100kgs for 3, 90kgs for 6-8, 70kgs for 12, 60kgs for 20
Squat: 100kgs for 6, 80kgs for 12, 60kgs for 15
Deadlift: 70kgs for 10 x 3 (I'm reluctant to go heavier, only added this exercise in for the all over body workout it gives)
Hammer machine seated row: 150kgs for 6, 100kgs for 12, 50kgs for 20

Diet: My diet is fairly good. I won't lie, I don't eat perfectly all the time, I enjoy my food too much. I try to balance everything, and a typical day looks like this:

Breakfast: 60grams oats, 30grams whey, 5ml flax seed oil
Mid-morning+lunch: 1 tin tuna, 1 tin mackeral, 1 tin red salmon, various vegetables, olives
Pre-workout: 20grams whey
Post-workout: 40grams whey, 5ml flax seed oil, bananananana
Dinner: Whatever my mum makes lol. Usually healthy, pork steak, beef steak, chicken etc with vegetables.
Bedtime: 20grams whey
Snacks when hungry: Nuts, flapjack

You'll see I don't have a great deal of carbs in my diet. Carbs seem bad for me, if I have a high carb day I bloat up and go chubby so I try to keep carbs down preferring fats instead. Feel free to comment and criticise.

Goals: Well my bodyfat % at the moment is an estimated 15-17%. I find it difficult getting an accurate reading. I bloat up very easily, especially just after the gym. I do really want to get my bodyfat down to 12% and below. I know it's a long road ahead of me but I'm just going to keep plugging away. My goal with this 4 week MassFX MS cycle will be to hopefully drop some more bf and hopefully build some muscle too.

I wouldn't have flax first thing in the morning bud, slows down the digestion of the whey, worst thing in the morning. Same with post work out. I don't see where you get the energy for training from that, but if it works for you. Good luck with the next batch of OTC supplements

try other cardio like bodyweight exercises, burpees, pushups, high volume with light weights. Your bodyfat is not 15-17%, fi it was you would have some form of definition, you are at the lowest 19-20%. You have some good upper body mass but you seriously need to bring up your legs. If you're serious about cutting to sub 12% then you are going to have to accept strength may and most times will take a nose dive.

as for your diet, i would limit my carbs to only breakfast and post workout, so if you want that flapjack have it post. if youre serious and motivated i give you three months to hit 12%. Good luck and p.s. cute kid

Last time I got checked I did it over a few different times and I was consistently 18%, and I'm actually leaner now. The picture quality isn't great, hence the lack of definition. I'm definately below 18%.

You're right about my legs, and I am working on them. Mick_the_brick give me some pointers. I don't want big legs, they're just not for me, but I am working on getting them bigger.

As for strength dipping, yes I know and have found out. I'm running these OTC supps to help with strength while I am cutting.

And thanks, my kid is cute :)

Day 6

Chest / Triceps

I didn't do much cardio today, still miffed about not being able to run plus I wanted to see my boy. I added decline bench to my chest routine today. Benched 100kgs again, 4 reps, strength seems to be maintaining since Cissus-Drol. I'm getting good pumps and libido has risen quite nicely. I'm normally a one sexy time a day person but we've been at it 2-3 times. Libido is just a little lower than what it's like when on a steroid, epistane superdrol etc.

Day 8

Back

I took Jake to be weighed today and grabbed an unhealthy lunch so I didn't have a great workout. I didn't have that much time so didn't do a lot of cardio, and I felt a bit crappy going into the weights session. I am noticing an effect already however, I'm noticing that on the rep where I usually fail on something I'm able to draw up some energy from within myself and bang out another couple of reps.

Erm it has risen a fair amount but to be honest I've been running about going to the gym as well as seeing my son so I've been pretty tired and not had much action. I'm planning on smashing the granny out of her later, and all weekend. I always know when my libido is up because I want morning sex, so not just waking up with a stiffy but actually rolling onto her and porking her which I've done while on this so I know it's good stuff

Day 9 (posted late)

Legs / Biceps

Wow! I had an absolutely amazing workout yesterday. Firstly I'll talk about cardio; I've not ran all week due to the pain I've been getting on the side of my shin. I can report today however that the pain has subsided, but I'm still going to give it another week to rest. My cardio on Friday was simply 30 mins of 15mins crosstrainer and 15mins uphill walking. This lack of running I will admit will have accounted for some of the gains in strength I made.

Back when I did my 12 week Epistane cycle over Christmas I managed to get my seated leg curl (the one where you work your quads) up to 105kgs for around 4-6 reps on my last set. On Friday I did my warm up sets on 40kgs and 50kgs, then moved up to 80kgs and on 90kgs I still managed 12 reps. I bumped to 100kgs and did 12 reps and at this point I was feeling a bit weird because usually at this point my legs are heavily fatigued but I felt fine. 110kgs, 10 reps. 120kgs, 10 reps. 130kgs, 8 reps! The only reason why I stopped was because I didn't want to risk overtraining them at the start of my workout and be too buggered for squats, but 130kgs! That's a 25kg increase from my last steroid cycle, on a non aas compound!

I then moved on to the hamstring leg curl machine thingy me bob and the story was fairly similar on that. I did my usual sets, which usually stop at 75-85kgs for about 4-6 reps, but I carried on to 95kgs for 9 reps.

Squats next and I didn't add any strength, however, I added a few reps. 60kgs for 15 reps, 80kgs for 12 reps and then 100kgs for 8 reps. I normally do between 4-6 reps on 100kgs so a 2 rep increase was nice. I also felt more stable doing each rep. I think I'll go for 120kgs next week which I haven't done since coming off that Epistane cycle.

The leg press is fairly limiting, I did the entire stack for 12 reps which was I think about 197kgs. I need to get used to the hammer leg machine because you can put plates on it, each leg is independant though and I don't like it

I didn't really push my biceps however I will say that I did chins at the very end of my bicep workout and I usually can only do a couple of chins at this point, but I managed to do 3 sets of 8.

Libido hasn't gone completely through the roof yet but the increase is still noticeable nonetheless.

So far I'm very happy. My weight is up today to 14st 7lbs but I do feel a little chubby so I don't think it's LBM. I'm not expecting to drop much bodyfat while I'm not running, I'm hoping I can just maintain.

Day 13

Shoulders / Traps

Today wasn't a great day to be honest. My strength was about average but I just felt a bit crappy. Diet hasn't been too great this weekend so I'm attributing it to that. I also didn't train yesterday, doing tues weds fri sat instead due to going to Skipton for the day.

Hopefully I'll have a better workout tomorrow!

Day 15

Chest / Triceps

Today's cardio was easy peasy lemon squeesy. I upped the incline level on both walking and crosstrainer and I also upped the speed on walking and intensity on crosstrainer. In 30 minutes I managed to burn 470 calories; when I was doing 1 hour I was burning approx 800 so considering I'm not even running at the moment I thought that was a hefty amount of calories being burnt.

I've been a little "chubby" for a few days and been feeling a bit down; I've been finding it difficult eating right while visiting my son etc but this week I got back on track and have been at the tuna again. Today my upper abs were the most chisselled I've ever seen them so I'm feeling quite good. I've been gutted about not running but today's workout seemed to prove I can still lose fat without running.

Weights was a bit weird. I thought I was going to be really strong for some reason. On the bench I did my 30 reps on the bar, 15 reps on 60kgs, 10 reps 80kgs then struggled to get 5 reps on 90kgs. To be fair I should've got a couple of more reps out on the 90, my spotter said I gave up too early. I decided to give 100 a miss and was beginning to think my weights workout was going to be a load of crap. The guy who was spotting for me then began a drop set, 4 x 5kg plates on each side so once he finished I decided to do the same and jesus christ where the hell did my endurance come from? I did 5 sets in total, starting at 60kgs and dropping 10kgs each set until I had just the bar, and I managed a full 10 reps on each set! The guy who did the drop set before me was benching 110kgs for reps and was obviously stronger than me but even he couldn't get a full 10 reps each set so I think we were both surprised lol.

My chest was numb after that so I took it easy on incline bench and did 22.5kgs for flyes as usual. Reps on flyes were up, I was managing 10-12 reps and it felt a lot easier.

Triceps began normally, rope pulldowns followed by overhead rope pulldowns, followed by skull crushers and then dips. I finished my tricep workout with another drop set on the close grip bench. I was managing to bang out more reps today than previously, I'm impressed with the MassFX so far.

Libido hasn't gone too high. It's elevated but not to the point of Adil's wind-blowing-erection lol.

Day 16

Back / Biceps

Strength again wasn't up today but endurance was. I was doing my wide grip pullups as usual and I did each rep easier, but still failed at 6-8. It was really weird, at rep 5 I really got myself up easily, but then seemed to crash. I did my 3 normal reps after 2 warmups as usual then did a drop set, putting the weight bar up starting at 25kgs and adding 5kgs each set. I did 4 sets in all. Definately a lot more endurance on MFXMS. It was the same on my other exercises too, no strength gain just extra reps. I would REALLY like to stack this with Cissus-Drol and see how they do combined.

I sprinted for the bus today (amazed myself at how fast I ran lol) and I didn't have any pains in my shin whatsoever so as from Monday I'm back on the running.

Day 18

Mood / Body Update

Just a quickie. I changed my dosing routine from 1 cap morn, 2 cap pre, 1 cap before bed, to how Adil doses his which is 2 morn 2 pre-workout. I've noticed a different straight away and my libido is up. I've not trained on this yet so I'll update on that tomorrow.

I've also felt some aggression as well which I didn't have before.

Day 19

Shoulders / Traps

Woot! First day back running today and I did a full 15 minutes and I didn't get any pain in my shin! Pretty god damned happy, really felt good afterwards and feel like I can finally get back on track with my cutting.

Weights wise, the trend has continued with my strength not going up but being able to bang out more reps. I exploited this today and did 2 drop sets, one on shoulder press and a quickie on my biceps. My shoulders felt and looked quite defined after my workout today.

I'm upping the dose this week so the cycle ends on Friday, instead of on Sunday/Monday when it was meant to.

I've also changed my dosing routine as mentioned in another post, 2 morn and 2 pre-workout (well 4 at the mo), and not having a bedtime tablet. My libido, since doing this, has risen quite dramatically.
