traps are part of back, why do people get them confused with shoulders?

definitly do them with back. My point about not doing them inbetween sets of deadlifts is because i find deadlifts takes a lot of energy so therefore i dont feel i get the most out of them if i do something inbetween but that is only my opinion.

I also had an altercation with the coffin at the same funeral, although it didn't look like a coffin to me. An easy mistake to make in my opinion.

Dont bent over bb rows work traps at all?

Yes mate, without a doubt
If done slightly more upright they are probably thee best trap/mid back builders in my opinion

anyone else think that is a poor rowing technique?

as far as hitting the lats is concerned, that grip is too wide imo

Agreed, elbows look too flared out, looks like a rear delt row

My traps have come along much better when doing Deads, BB Rows and followed by 2 sets of Shrugs at higher reps (10-12) at the end of the workout. My favourite combination at the moment.

They put your shoulders in a bad position and can lead to impingement problems

However, like behind-the-neck presses, some people can do them and not have any problems

If you *must* do them, use a wide grip and don't row any higher than the nipples. If you feel any discomfort or twinges while doing them, steer well clear and do another exercise instead

I used to do this exercise but I dropped them to be on the safe side, even though they didn't cause any problems for me
