john_cappa - Yeah after I wrote the workout up I did think it looked like a lot but really its only 3 sets of biceps curls and a couple of sets of forearm work. Afterwards it definitely doesnt feel like i've overdone them though. Might have to look into an EZ curl bar if its still feeling a little tight this week. This is the first forearm work that I feel is actually strengthening my forearms for once.

Trebor - john - Gonna give a scoop of icecream and cottage cheese a go tonight or else I'm gonna stick with what I'm eating at the moment. I know its not completely clean but as long as I keep putting on lean fat I don't think its gonna matter that much.

Ill keep the bicep work up for a bit like this and see how it goes. If I don't get any size gains I'll cut it down for sure.

Gonna give the cottage cheese a go in about 3 hours when I go to bed. I'll post up how it tasted with a scoop of icecream.

Don't ever really snack besides when I go out and drink which is on average every fortnight and yeah I do drink quite a bit when I drink but will try to keep drinking more water with consuming the alcohol. I do eat a triple cheeseburger from maccas just before I go home as it somehow helps me with not getting a hangover. Guess my body needs some food anyway after dancing for a couple of hours and no food for about 5-6 hours. Theres no food to get anywhere in between this time so it is a bit depressing but ya gotta enjoy life I guess. Also, at the same time as eating the triple cheeseburger I drink a litre of water and another litre or so during my sleep.

Chest/tris - Monday 7th April

Bench Press 50KG 5-5-5-5-5
Decline BP 42.5KG 5-5-5-5-5 Def gonna up this by 5 as it seemed a little light
Seated Shoulder Dumbell Press 20KG (each arm) 5-5-5-5-5
Close grip bench press 35KG 5-7
Skullcrushers 16KG 7-7-6

Felt like a decent workout. Bench press is really something I want to increase so I'm hoping I don't get stuck at 50KG like I normally do. I've been reading that 5x5 is more for strength than for hypertrophy. Am I right? As I at the moment am mostly looking for size.

Off to do legs now!

your bulking either way so get the burger into you!

i wouldnt worry about that, id never let training take over my life so much that i cant go to the cinema because i shouldnt eat the popcorn or cant go to the put for a drink etc. Not worth it in the long run IMO

It is a mix of strenght and size training.
1-3 reps strength
4-8 some strenght and some size
8-12- sixe
12+ endurance

though this varies by opinions and some muscle groups

up to 52.5 kg next week on the bench for you and expect to get 5-5-5-4-3 or some thing like that and keep at it till you get to 5x5

Im posting from Australia! Were quite a couple of hours ahead of the poms lol.

Cottage cheese blended with a little scoop of icecream and little bit of milk worked great! Just wondering if it would still have the same slow releasing effect if I blend it down to almost a liquid state.

Thinking of maybe changing my main lifts to 4x6 and keeping direct arm work at 2x8 and 3x10

ice cream and cottage cheese all good IMO if your bulking, if you can get it down your neck then great. What time is it there at this time of night lol

9.24AM right now. Just having my breakfast shake at the moment. Whats the time in the UK at the moment?

Still wondering if the cottage cheese is as slow releasing if I blend it into almost a liquid state instead of the lumpy stuff it normally is...

lol Its 12.55am here The cottage cheese will be the same mate, in the end it ends up as liquid in your stomach anyway whilst its being digested so whats the diference wether you "drink" it or chew it

Lol shouldn't you be getting your precious sleep right now .

Yeah I just thought about that. After I've chewed it all, its turned into a liquid pretty much anyway... How dumb of me haha.

Will post yesterdays legs workout in a minute!

Wednesday 9th April - LEGS

Squats 37.5 5-5-5-5-8 Did this without a belt. Did wanna use a belt but was just gonna see how my lower back felt doing it without
Hamstring Curls 30 5-5-5-5-5
Calf Raises 50KG 20-20

Afterwards my lower back felt very tensed for some reason and did have a really sore lower back about 2 hours later. Think I might go back to the belt next week. Will up squats by 5KG next week.

Overall felt like a decent workout. Still got DOMS in my hamstrings.

Monday April 14th - CHEST/TRIS

Bench Press 52.5KG 5-5-5-5-5
Decline BP 47.5 5-5-5-5-5
Seated Shoulder Press 21KG 5-5-5-5-4
CGBP 35KG 8-7
Skullcrushers 7-5

Added 2.5KG onto my BP since last week. Struggled with 50KG last week and still managed to get 5x5 52.5KG this week!
SSP's were really really heavy so I didn't end up getting 5x5. Will prob leave it at this weight next week to make sure I keep perfect form.
Got rid of 1 set of skullcrushers as I felt that my tri's were already absolutely hammered so I thought doing 3 sets would probably be overdoing it.

Overall felt like a good workout. Gonna try 55KG on BP next week. Weigh in is tomorrow. Have been weighing myself during the week and I don't think ive gained any weight :(:(/

Just an update on my weight.

Have just weighed myself on an empty stomach, weighing in at 73.1KG. An additional 0.8KG since last week! Doesn't seem like I'm adding much fat at all as I can't grab any fat anywhere on my body yet.

Ah yeah and also I have started taking creatine last week. Had been taking it for about a month a little while ago and did absolutely nothing to me for some reason. No increased strength or feeling more of a pump in the muscle. Have now been taking it with 50g dextrose instead of 20g so it could be that this is the reason I increased my bench by 2.5KG and gained more weight due to water retention.

hey mate, looking good in pics!

Wouldn't force food down you don't enjoy you will never keep it up.

Thanks mate. Yeah this time around I am actually enjoying the food! That was what my problem was last time. I couldn't stand the food whereas now I do like what I eat :).

Only problem is forcing it down sometimes when you aren't very hungry yet but I guess my stomach will get used to it over time.
