My house seemed a very lonely place this morning! the dog has been in the vets for xrays, I cant believe how used to him being in the house ive become used to! I was like a lost sheep without him! anyway got out in the gym and.. DEADLIFT 120kgs, 8 125kgs, 6 128kgs, 6 130kgs, 6 <-- had to have about 15-20seconds rest after 4 reps I think i will continue on 4x6 as my target for deadlift, 8 reps just seemed to long and i'd rather get the weight up on lower reps with them, next time the aim will be 4x6 @130kgs OH BB press 34kgs, 8 34kgs, 8 34kgs, 7 the 7th was a struggle so same weight again next time round dips 8 8 6, 10 secs rest and then on further rep was good to be doing dips again but really felt it strecth in my right shoulder (the one I always dislocate!) Chins 6 5 4 3 well first time trying these not sure on excatly how far apart my hands should be, I felt very weak! but least it gives me something to improve on! once again as with dips this was really streching my right shoulder, Think im going to have to buy some of those strechy bands to sort it out as Ive stated im in a gym in my garge so I have to use a little imagination to complete some excerise's so here is how I do dips, using my cheap old bench with a barbell across it and then my squat stands with another barbell across it note that I have to put 20kgs plate with another 10kg plate on top to get the bench to the same height as squat stands!, and also how I complete chins, by putting squat stands up to there highest setting with a barbell across them [image] [/image]

Impressed with how many of the test your mettle challenges you've met. Almost to the point where I feel like doing a few more myself, almost ....but not quite.

cheers jedi, and cheers again for pointing me in there direction! anyway its been a while since ive posted due to just being to damn busy to workout! im on late shift today so i had some time and got into the gym it was HOT but I really enjoyed it! felt like Im really making some progress! SQUATS 85kgs, 8, 85kgs, 8 85kgs, 8 <-- the last one was a struggle so Im happy the weight is right for me at the moment really happy with these as im now lifting over my bodyweight which can only be a good thing! will try and add 2kgs next time just to make sure i couldnt walk I then did 15reps with 48kgs Bench 55kgs, 8 55kgs, 8 <-- last one was a struggle, thought I wouldnt be able to make 8 on the last set, but then was bloody minded and told myself I was going to do it! 55kgs, 8<-- it worked! shows the power of the mind!! BB ROW I had been struggling to get this right and had been finding it really hard work, think i managed to sort form out today which made it feel much easier 30kgs, 9 <-- for some reason I forgot to stop at 8 lol 32kgs, 8 32kgs, 8 think I could now add say 6-8kgs but I think I will just do 2 at a time BB curls 22kgs, 8 22kgs, 8 22kgs, 8 again pleased with how it went! wasnt sure if i would complete it but was fine, another 2kgs next time! that would normally be it but I was having so much fun I added this in just for the sake of it shrugs supersetted with forearms curls 3x8 shrugs at 48kgs and 22kgs on curls really enjoyed these and will do again if i have time on workouts in future but its not an essential

last night went for a little run on the beach, blimey i forgot how hard it is to run on sand today: warmed up with 3x8 of upside down rows DEADLIFT 130kgs 6, 6, 6, 5 really hard work today didnt feel strong at all but nearly managed the lot so cant complain BB OH PRESS 34kgs 8, 8, 8 pretty happy felt good but struggled on last rep think I might try just one more week on this before moving up Dips 8, 8, 8, 8 was only going for 3x8 but there was more left in the tank so did another set, ready to add weight now Chins 6, 6, 4, 4.5, 3negatives, big improvement in terms of the way i felt these went, much more controlled will keep plugging away went straight out for some cardio approx45mins made up of about 25mins running and the rest fast walk, took my HR monitor out with me and was really suprised to see that I can get into the fat burning zone just by doing a fast walk, which is good to know as i will do that now everytime I walk the dog! - Im now going to treat myself to a load of eggs and a slice of bacon and toast bye for now!

im chuffed to bits today! went out for an hour with the dog this morning, quite a slow pace today as was with someone else then after getting ready not to do anything I plucked up some energy and went for a mountain bike ride I gave it everything i had, so probably not best for fat loss but thats not what I was after did the same circuit in the forest as normal thats 7miles and then theres about 3/4 of a mile either side! after my last effort which included riding home after but not riding to the forest which took 44mins 11secs I didnt think Id manage any better than 47-48. I really did push myself very hard and was rewarded with a time of 42mins 10 secs. I think its going to take a while to improve this by such a big amount again but it wont stop me from trying, I would imagine I could do it a bit quicker if the ground was a bit dryer in places on the course. Also I did 3x12 crunches before going out on the bike I havent really put anything in about diet as yet so i'll give you what todays has/going to be, not perfect I know but could be a lot worse 0900 - oats milk 1spoon of honey 1100 - smoothy made of bannanas, rasberrys, stawberrys, milk 1330 - 2slices bacon (bad I know but its so nice!), 1slice of toast, 3 boiled eggs, grilled tomato and mushrooms 1530 - probably another smoothy 1800 - turkey steaks grilled on a salad 2130 - cottage cheese

hurray! managed to finish at 10 last night so could get up at a decent time to go to the gym (well garage) squat 87kgs 8/8/8 WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very pleased with these! didnt think i would be able to manage the whole lot! last two reps were a struggle but I managed to nail them! just an extra kg next time Bench was going to stick at 55kgs this week but was feeling on a role after squats so went up 2kgs 57kgs - 8/8/7 Boo couldnt quite do it, I think If i had the safety of a spotter I could of done the last rep but knowing my luck I'd of ended up squashed beneath it untill the wife gets back at 3! BB ROW 35kgs 8/8/8 really getting to grips with the form now and i can really feel it working the back, another 2kgs again next time BB Curls 25kgs, 8/8/8 ouch! these were streching them all right! enjoyed it though, will have to stick at same weight though last 2 reps needed a little help from my back well I feel completly fcuked after that, It must of been good cus I feel sick now!! really pleased and now off with the dog in the forest for an hour yay me!

morning all, got to bed at just after 1 which wasnt to bad, managed to get up at about 0830 I really wanted to stay in bed but new it was my only chance of any cardio today, just did 22mins on the mountain bike, really enjoyed doing the fasted cardio, I could do it again tomorrow, but I think it will have to be another balls out bike ride as im going on a week long off road motorbike course in a few weeks and I need my fitness to be right up there! anyway Ive now only got time to walk the dog as ive got to work 1400 - midnight lucky me!

todays been a bit all over the place so I'll to tray and summarise! lots of cardio split between hour of dog walking (proper power walking, with 15mins jogging but only when we got to the bit in the shade as would of got the dog to hot!) then I went to town on the mountain bike, about 10-15mins to get there, get wrapping paper for the wifes bday, ride back, stop at her parents house, wrap pressies, about 10 mins, and then about another 20mins mountain bike in the forest then home! so thats a fair bit of cardio spread over the morning, and im now enjoying tucking into an omlette, yummy!!
