ORIGINAL: PAGAN Yes , people refer to being 'egg bound' This is actually a farming term that refers to the situation when a hen can't pass and egg (don't quote me but I think it is because the egg becomes too hard in the canal), this and the cooking term to 'bind' eggs and flour is maybe one of the reasons that eggs get singled out. Constipation is a problem of whole diet and gut health/function. Eggs, meat, some dairy can all contribute ti the problem in so much as they are low fibre. I doubt the eggs are the problem, the whole diet and gut function is.

I have eggs in the morning, last thing at night, sometime up to 16 egg whites in one sitting: I never had problem with constipation... Then again I do take ground linseeds everyday.

Looks like H & B don't sell powdered linseeds. Do you have a local H & B? They may sell whole linseeds which you then blitz to a powder yourself.

Hi Nigeepoo, If they sell linseeds in pet shop do i just chuck them ( Dry as they are) In to blender? I take it theres no Difference between linseeds from pet shop or H&B, Im just shocked we can eat/drink something out of a pet shop!

Pet shop linseeds aren't as "pure" as commercial brands in that there's little bits if flax plant mixed-in. You can't tell the difference after blending.

You should use 4 parts linseed powder, 1 part pumpkin powder and 1 part sunflower powder to get a decent omega-3:omega-6 ratio. Regards
