Think so, Ribby Hall, is that the one?

Are you still going to Adlington on Sat? I'll be down for that and I'll bring those allen keys back.

yea, sat is on ! however i am working an have to go there straight from work ,im hoping to do some basic 'befor 1pm when it starts' lifting , if you can get there for 12 you could have a go at a badboy deadlift , tony will be there and plenty of other nice lads , we can sort somthin out, deffo worth goin along mate

some very heavy weights shifted , always a pleasure to watch a WSM competitor lift , and cleggies 210kg overhead was beastly !!

Friday 16th May 2008
BB bench (changed rep-range to a simple 4x10): 10x80, 10x80, 9x80, 9x80 (spotted on last set)
Inc DB bench (3x12): 12x27.5, 10x27.5, 11x27.5 (never been strong with the DBs- working on it)
Dips: 15xbw, 10xbw, 10xbw
Shrugs for good measure, 3x12 with 25kg plates in each hand, slow and held at the top

Looking a little trimmer now and my pants fit again so decided to pack on a little more mass and strength again now for a bit. I still want to be a little leaner so keeping steady-state cardio up too, though not doing as much as I'd like to be.

Aiming to hit 100kg at no more than 15% BF and then take it from there.

BB curls 3x10 @ 30kg
Rope pulldown 3x10 @ 50kg
Plate pinch 3xfailure
Decline situps 20x+5, 20x+10, 15x+15

Tuesday 20th May 2008
Legs
10 mins on spin-cycle to warmup
Squats, couple of warmup sets and then 5x140, 5x140, 5x140, 5x140, 4x140. Felt strong and one of the regular guys (one of the few who trains "properly") told me that if I wanted spotting squatting then to ask as he said I was the best squatter in the gym by far! Big compliment that! Doesn't say a lot about my gym though when 140kg 5x5 squats is the best in the gym LOL.
SLDL 10x60, 7x100, 8x100. I used to rep 120kg+ SLDL but recently I'm absolutely spent after a heavy squat session and all I want to do is leave. Not trained my calves for ages either. Might be because of the 5x5 squats instead of higher reps perhaps.

Shoulders tomorrow, currently my favourite session!

Wednesday 21st May 2008
Shoulders
Mil press: 12x32.5, 10x42.5, 8x52.5, 6x62.5, 3x72.5 (spotted)
Powercleans: 10x60, 8x60, 7x60, 5x60 (bumped the weight up too early I think)
Seated DB press: 12x22.25, 12x22.5, 11x22.5
Lat raise: 10x10, 10x10, 10x10, 10x10 (should have used more weight)

Good result for the reds last night, great game.

ah i see why stupid brain didnt even realise that....
For some reason I though you had a 2.5 - 5kg jump between sets then 10kg on last - i really should read things properly.
I struggle to add any more than 5kg after every other set even to get out 2 reps less than previous set!

lol

No worries, I though I was missing something! I've been going progressive with my big lifts recently, got a bit hooked on strength increases. Thinking of going back to repping it out again for a bit instead and work on size, though its a great feeling sticking 2 big, red 25kg plates on a bar and putting it above my head, its more than half the gym squat LOL. I'm back putting on a little more mass for another 6 weeks or so, cleanly as possible, then I'm gonna go for all out condition and try and get a really lean bod for once. Now I have my own place, preparing and storing food is less of an issue so it should help me keep to eating a structured diet.

Right then, tomorrow is the first day of 9 weeks conditioning. Aiming to drop 9 pounds, which equates to 4% bodyfat which will take me to 10% BF. So 1lb a week weight loss is the target. Planning on keeping my weights routine the same (5-day split) but with SSCV every morning, 45 minutes every day, most likely in the form of a jog until I can afford a spin-bike at home.

Will be using some caffeine from MyProtein and eph when I've sourced some more. Diet will be nice and clean and no doubt very repetitive!
