Thursday 10th April 2008
Trained back today, thankfully both my training partners are pretty absent from the gym at the moment so I can get in the zone, no thinking about anything and train hard.

Weights in KG:
Chins 4x10 bodyweight only (same as last week)
Deads (down a couple of reps on some weights) 12x100, 7x140, 5x160, 5x180, 1x200, 1x220 (NEW PERSONAL BEST WHOOP!!
Seated lever rows 12x90, 10x100, 8x110, 5x110 (down a little from last week)

Diet hasn't been clean at all today, I like to over-compensate on back day, just to make sure! All bases covered as always. Here's to a clean day tomorrow.

Have no fear, it will be adorned in my heart until the world ends my sweet.

Well I love my carbs, if I try and drop any my mood drops, my energy drops, my performance drops massively.

I'm starting by introducing some cardio, mostly steady-state stuff but planning on some well fueled HIIT too.

As for diet specifically, I'm trying to cut out some of the junk food, hoping to get it down to a cheat evening once a week with the missus. Also replacing all my carbs for slow carbs (except PWO), reduced my PWO sugars from 70g to 60g and god forbid, reducing carbs at bedtime! I know, I know, hate me, strike my down with an iron rod, banish to the world of Ross Training, parade me before the lions, throw rotten tomatoes at me in the stocks, etc.

This will be a very slow, controlled "cut", I really am determined not to drop strength even if it takes a long time to get a little leaner.

Sounds similar to what i'm doing. I've dropped mine drastically but feeling ok energy wise, just placing the majority of them around brekkie/pre/ppwo.

That said it's quite nice to get PWO down me and not feel full and then get the hypo crash

Chest & bi's today, bench, BB curls, incline DB bench, t-bar curls, decline bench (not done this for years).

Nice strong, quick session, hate training bi's though.

Diet's been pretty good, bit too much tuna though.

Bit of a problem, I'm actually still gaining weight.

Good luck in your 17th journal mate, get the songs back up!
