1MR: Lean-out for summer

If I don't keep a log of this I won't stick with it, so here goes a spanking new journal as I attempt to drop a bit of bodyfat.

At present, I am not training for anything or competing in any sports, and although I don't aspire to be a bodybuilder as such, I'm going to spend the next few weeks/months doing just that.

I'm bulked up to around 96kg now, but carrying a bit of luggage. I want to drop as much BF as it takes to get my abs out and lose this square-shaped jaw-line I'm developing. I am 100% determined to do this without dropping any strength or mass at all, in fact, I'm hoping to gain slightly while doing it.

Here is my 1 year progress pic:

As it stands, I'm planning on doing this naturally and supplementing with cissus-drol to keep energy, libdio and free-test levels up. I may use mdein or similar for anabolic support at some point, but I'm going to see how I get on first.

Also, in case anyone is wondering, I jacked the Royal Marines Reserve!

Goals:
- Drop enough BF to see my abs and get a much leaner, cut physique
- Maintain or even gain strength and LBM
- Improve flexibility
- Improve fitness (particularily anaerobic fitness)
- Bring up my lagging chest (thanks to Firearm for pointing it out, hadn't paid much attention as strength was increasing nicely!)

Approach:
I plan on simply increasing my output initially. My first step is to re-introduce cardio. 2 HIIT sessions a week. Hopefully swim once a week as well. Might start doing early morning SSCV, but at the minute, I value my sleep.

The second step will be a in a few weeks, where I will look to change my diet if needed.

Starting weight: 96kg / 210lbs

PBs @ 9th April 2008:
Benchpress: 120kg x 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLwhyhaNGg4
Deadlift: 210kg x 1
Squat: 140kg x 6 (can't seem to get a 1RM!)
Military press: 70kg x 1

PBs @ 14th April 2008:
Benchpress: 120x5
Deadlift: 220x1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I83Q5ZhrGg
Squat: 140x8

(Deadlift 200kg x 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n12Xe9kZzh0 )

How tall are you ?

I'm hoping to order some cissus drol to help with the last part of my cut. My test levels feel low and have done for a while so I'm hoping this will sort them out.

Good luck

Every so often yeah! Also have some MTII to put to use when it gets a bit warmer and I have a body more worthy of taking my shirt off!

Despite its sh1te name, a lot of people seem to rate this and it isn't too dear so might as well see for myself.

PAGAN, how has your strength faired in your cut?

Thanks for the support all.

Thanks mate.

Lucky I guess, I hide it quite well around the abs, chest and ass. I've never been particularily lean before, but gonna have a go at it, and maintain strength no matter how long it takes!

Probably lost about 5 -10 % across the board on strength but it's muscular endurance that seems to have really taken a beating.I'd put that down to low glycogen levels I guess. I'm going to try and fuel my workouts better now to see if this helps , plus I think I can get away with a few more cals in my diet anyway.

Is that a lump on your chest in the pic on the left? You should get it checked out.

True mate, in a BBing sense its too early, but vanity prevails and I like cuts as much as I like size so I'm going to cut. I'm lucky in that I carry it well, I'm probably fatter than I look in the pictures.

This is my upper-half 1 year picture. Not bad going huh!?

I do have legs in proportion and I train them hard, but they look cack in photos and as I'm not a BBer as such, I'm not too fussed for them.

No lumps here mate, I can see what you're referring to, must just be a funny shape and dodgy light. Definately no lumps at all. I haven't used any gear yet so I'd be gutted if I had gyno already!!
My chest was once one of my better bodyparts but is lagging badly now. It is going to take a hammering and bring it up

Cheers Malc, appreciate that!

Wednesday 9th April 2008
Rest day today, no training, cleanish diet and dropped a meal seeing as I wasn't spending the calories (not including PWO shake). Back tomorrow, going to have another go at 210kg.

Again, thanks for all the comments, appreciate all your support.

PMSL it was a joke in reference to Trisha.
