I tried my free sample last night that I got from My Protein and I was very impressed. It was very fruity and moist I did not expect it to be as fruity. I have only had cnp flapjacks before and did not expect these to be as good but I have to say they were if not slightly better I highly recommend those to anyone. I dont have a massive sweet tooth so Id like to see a peanut butter one as im addicted to the stuff

Blackcurrant Flapjack Review

On first impressions it looked good and was a decent size. After eating a bit i found it to be very filling and would be an excellent choice as a healthy snack with a glass of milk or something!
The taste was fruity but not overly sweet which probably has something to do with the use of real blackcurrant and not shed loads of artificial sweetners, good all round on that note!
The white chocolate coating was a nice addition to moisten the bar but imo it wasnt enough. Although its one of the nicest protein bars Ive tasted and I would buy them if I needed a quick conveient healthy snack I still thought it was a little dry and powdery inside.

Overall 7/10

Thought i might as well jump in on this post as well!

I received my blackcurrant flapjack the other day and finally go round to trying it today before training. On opening the bar itself looked appetising and you could see the actual blackcurrants in th flapjack. It smelt nice and wasnt expecting the white chocolate coating which was a bonus. The taste and texture was nice, not dry at all and didnt leave an aftertaste in your mouth like some bars do, and didnt notice any realy grainy taste which u get in alot of bars. Wasnt to sweet but had a real strong blackcurrant flavour.
Would def eat this bar again. Maybe MyProtein could do a deal like CNP are on there bars as would def get everyone buying them!

They use higher quality ingredients hence why they are a bit more pricier(sp).

Might as well add to the existing thread as others have.

Received my blackcurrant sample and was looking forward to it having previously bought flapjacks from MyProtein and been impressed although since then I have tried the CNP chocolate orange flapjacks and liked them very much too.

Well, the real blackcurrants make for a strong but very pleasant taste and I found the overall texture and taste of the bar to be superb. I think the taste of the white chocolate is just right - not too strong as to overpower the rest of the ingredients - just as I would hope - it is a flapjack after all.

Overall I could not find any fault with it at all and would highly recommend it to others if they are looking for a top quality product that tastes extremely good too.

Definitely a 9.5/10 from me.

I agree. What do you reckon MP?

Rakim is correct in his post above as our bars cost more to produce due to the higher quality ingredients I'm afraid, so we couldn't sell them for that price...! We are always looking into products to put on offer and we will let you know if we do. :)
