That is often the go but some will do other variations. Try that and see how you go.

I do full body three times a week and don't specifically work triceps / biceps unless part of a large compound movement.

IMO big basic compound routines are the way to go. Im just giving the Madcow linear routine a crack as something different for my usual Pull, push, legs+abs split and while theres allowance for ancillary movements on the friday..i.e weighted dips, barbell curls and triceps extension/pressdown you wouldnt really need them. In my experience the best bicep and tricep builders have always been barbell rows, weighted close grip chins, heavy weighted dips, bench press and military press.

I tend to split it:

Chest,
back
arms
legs
shoulders.

depends on how many days per week you want to train?

its fine to train back and biceps on the same day or chest and triceps.

Completely down to personal preference.

Some do biceps on back day
Some do biceps on chest day
Some have a whole day for biceps (usually Friday's )
Some don't train arms in isolation at all.

You can get stronger and bigger arms from not training them directly.
You won't end up with much of a physique if you only train arms.....
