Riocat: In terms of gyms Stockport is ok. There is a housewifes gym in Grand Central, without bench press and db's only go to 30kg, but it has a swimming pool and sauna included in the price... There's an "old school" gym which stinks of sweat and loads of beefchiefs go there. That's pretty cheap, £18 a month, and their db's go up to something like 70kg. There's a few more here and there, and there are also Virgin Actives and David Lloyds around the place too. What I like about Stockport is the fact the town center is absolutely superb, with a historical market to compliment the good array of shops, and the whole place is surrounded practically by fields and rivers, so lots of places to take dogs for walks, or go fishing. And we're only 10 minutes away from Manchester itself. You just have to ignore the retarded chav bastards that manage to annoy you by just wearing those stupid bleeding coats with wing mirrors on them lol.

Taz: Thanks :D I went to the gym today, partly because my usual routine has been disrupted and partly because I was so psyked about getting checked later lol.

LMAO at most of that mate, So, so, true £18 gym sounds good but the BO FFS

Yeah been lookin at S/port for ages, just need to try and find house / flat thats half decent. Thinkin of buyin or maybe renting to see how it is, dont know yet.

Narrative

Well I've been thinking about my diet recently. TIO helped me out a great deal, not just by telling me what to eat but by opening my eyes to the different kinds of food that have nutritional benefit to bodybuilders and giving me the confidence to change my diet. I think I need to keep my carbs low; this is a simple case of knowing and understanding my body. I respond quite negatively to carbs, and despite what other people do regarding PWO carbs etc I'm going to do what I feel is best for me. I am therefore going to be keeping my carbs low, typically below 100grams on workout days, and below 130grams on non-workout days. I'm toying with the idea of having less than say 20gram carbs on training days, and having a mid carb-up on Wednesday and a full carb-up on Saturday and Sunday. I think for now I'll just drop my carbs across the board and see where that takes me. The only carb source I shall be increasing is oats, and that's simply because I'm running Anabolic Pump which requires carbohydrates to function properly. This supplement will hopefully make my body react differently to carbs, and assuming it does I will most likely be increasing my carb intake over the coming weeks but this is only if Anabolic Pump works as well for me as it has worked for others.

I'm also interested in protein cycling, something I read about a while ago. Although I'm not going to follow it to any extremes, I shall be alternating my protein intake on certain days. I'm thinking on training days I'll have a moderate protein intake, while on non-training days increase it significantly. Today is an example of a high protein day. As you can see from my diet today I'll be having approximately 350grams (depending on the size of the turkey breast) of protein from natural sources, with an additional 40grams from whey. I worked out the calories from calorieking.com, so I'm not certain just how accurate these figures are.

Training wise today was just a mess about. Me and the ex are alternating Saturday's with Jake, and today was my Saturday without him. Because of this I met my dad yesterday, and he went to stay at his girlfriends the mucky bugger (he's a pimp and has about 3 different girlfriends). My girlfriend has gone to see dancing on ice, so I literally had nothing to do so thought I would get some cardio in. I've also been neglecting my biceps somewhat this year, so thought I would give them a good seeing to. I'll be getting my bodyfat % checked at approx 7pm but I'll be going straight to my girlfriends so won't be able to update, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow! I'm actually nervous, and I think it's because I can visibly see a big difference from last week to this week so I'm expecting a great result, but I'm also scared of being bitterly dissapointed lol. Oh I'm a complex soul!!!

Well mate if you want to know about a particular area you're looking at and don't want to rely on the estate agent for advice then just drop me an email. I pretty much know about all areas of Stockport, such as typical crime rates etc so I'll give you an honest review

Well I got checked last night, and I'm down to 15.6%, which is a .8% drop from last Saturday. Overall it's only a 1.4% drop, but my weight is still 14st5.9lbs which is exactly the same weight as last Saturday, except I'm down .8% bodyfat. This to me says a couple of things; firstly my plan for a slow cut to maintain muscle mass is working. I could have ate nothing, smashed the high intensity cardio, and dropped a load of weight in no time. But that's what I did in 2006 and I wasn't happy with the end result. Secondly, that it is possible to eat a lot and still lose weight. Granted I am on a fair few supplements at the moment, but as we're constantly reminded on this forum 'supplements arn't magic pills'. I think if I had of lowered my carb intake sooner then I would be seeing a greater reduction in bodyfat, but the important thing is that I know my body and can recognise when something needs changing.

I had a bit of a celebratory big bottle of Tiger beer last night, and some chocolate lol. I was actually planning on raiding my girlfriends cupboards of all her treats, but I was too stuffed from our gorgeous turkey breast steak with Nando's spicy sauce lol.

Back to training tomorrow. This week will mark the first week of my use of DCP, along with bulk TTA powder. I've started it over the weekend and I've noticed a major increase in core body temperature so I'm looking forward to sweating buckets out my ass on Monday

Thanks a lot

I've been talking with a mate of mine, I'm hopefully going to be doing a 12 week test enth cycle over winter. I'm going to run possibly 3 weeks SD at the beginning as a kicker, then run the next 3 weeks solo to assess it on its own, and maybe, just maybe, running Epistane for the last 6 weeks depending on how the 3 weeks solo go. I'm quite looking forward to it! Almost as much as eating homemade protein flapjacks which I'll be getting my girlfriend to make lol.

Great work man, that's a significant amount of body-fat to lose! I've always wanted to know what mine is, might book a general appointment with my GP at some point. Are you sure you want to move onto gear? From what I've been told, it's a completely different ball-game to supplements and fairly high maintenance.

I'm on gear at the moment, albeit a fairly mild cycle. Epistane is a steroid I've ran quite a few cycles, all oral, and probably too many if I'm being honest. Just moving to a decent gym and sorting my diet out did more for my physique than the many cycles I did.

My ultimate goal is to be around 15 stone, 10% bodyfat. I'm not miles away from that target, so if I can reach it before winter say, then I won't be doing any cycles at all. All depends really. But it's in the pipeline.

Ah right, I wasn't aware, my knowledge of supplements and things of that nature is pitiful. :(

That's an admirable goal, certainly not an easy one to achieve! You seem to have your head screwed on the right way and you certainly know what you're doing, add a little time and you're golden. I'm looking forward to seeing the congratulatory thread come Christmas time mate, good luck!

Narrative

Strength was weird today. Up on some exercises, down on others. Today I'll be having low carbs, and they'll be staying low all week.

I've noticed I'm pooping more, which I'm attributing to the DCP and TTA. This happened last time I ran it. Had 2 dumps before 9am! Good ones too, not little bitty ones but big dirty ones. With nutty bits.

Looking good man! Our body types look scarily similar, except you probably have a few less % of bodyfat than me and I've got a bigger frame. Don't worry though, I'll catch you up the old school way.

Hehe! These pictures are quite bad, I was a lot leaner earlier in the day and then I just seemed to bloat. No bother really, it's still coming off.
