Can you not just eat food to give you energy for breakfast that doesnt have much protein in it then ake a shake pre workout, or you could have a high protein breakfast

Read the cereal box it tells you ont he side, 250 semi skimed = around 9g protein, and i would say 75g alpen = around 10-15g protein, im not sure you'll need to check the box

at least 1g protein per 1lb bodyweight 11 stone = 154lbs so you need at least 154 gprotein a day try and more than this if you can, its recommended you get 1g-2g protein per lb of bodyweight.

1 stone = 14 lbs
11 stone = 154 lbs

1) is it best to do your 30 or 40 mins cardio after you've done your weights
2) is it ok to take a post workout shake on its own or do i need to eat anything with it?

Yeah cardio is fine after cardio but many poeple say its better to do it on a different day or around 8hrs apart from a weights session, but if you can only do it after weights it should be fine, i do it.

Yeah shake is all you need after your workout, and eat something 20-30mins after

Define "loads". If you eat a load of anything, it gets stored as either glycogen or fat. This gets burned-off between meals.

One gram per kg bodyweight is 0.1% loss per day. I think that it's more accurate to say that you can safely burn 1% of your body-fat weight per day.

At 10% BF, this gives the same rate of loss as the men's health article . At 20% BF, this gives double the rate of loss as the men's health article. At 5% BF, this gives half the rate of loss as the men's health article.

sorry just got mens health magazine i will write it for you.

breaking down and absorbing this dense surge of protein and carbs is a tough job- and your kidneys take the strain. o-d ing on protein shakes won't damage them but it won't build extra muscle either. excessive protein will just e stored as fat or excreted by your kidneys and not used to build muscle. you only need 1g of protein a per pounf of your body weight every day. this gives you the essential amino acids required to help your muscles repair and grow.
