Good luck with it Sideeffectwhu mate.

I was tempted again today, this time is harder than any other time I have tried to give it up. Just fancying a bottle of beer every fricking day.

Looking forward to getting my creatine started on Monday and back down the gym to focus my mind.

Damn alcohol!!!!

Want to try and eat as clean as possible and rid my body of the garbage its been used to for years. Be good to report each day.
Here's to a good weeks training come monday

Well done Galenki mate.

To be honest I am probably going to be having a few beers for the last game of the season on the Sunday aswell.

My best mate is coming back from being away for two years and we will be going out for a few beers on that Sunday. As long as I don't let it take over my life again I really enjoy a bevvie with my mates.

Life is too short not to enjoy yourselves once in a while but on the other hand life is too short to let alcohol rule it and ruin it.

I have been here before so many times and will have let people down I am sure but the proof is in the pudding. I am so much happier with my life at the moment so if I do have a few beers it will be for celebratory purposes rather than to forget things.

We shall see my friends. I will be using this thread, my journal and the cutting competition to focus myself and not let the alcohol control me.

You've hit the nail on the head there Cardifflad mate.Life is too short,so a night out with a mate and a few beers is great if you can leave it at that.It only becomes a problem if you are getting drunk just for the sake of it,not because you are having a good night out with an old mate.

That is the balance that I strive to strike mate and hopefully this thread can help me do that. I have had so much help in my journal to get me to stop drinking every single day and so hopefully I can grow up and learn to enjoy it (which will be easier now due to my financial situation being sorted).

Cheers Col. I am quite relieved that I have accepted that I am going to drink once in a while but need to control it.

I will be fine mate. Don't you worry

Thanks

Interesting Gentlemen.

The questions I would ask are "why can you not have a night out with an old mate you haven't seen in a while and not drink alcohol" and "why do you think it ok to drink at the last game of the season if you don't drink at the others"

I'm not knocking you but it would seem to me that you seem to regard alcohol as some sort of "reward" and as long as you continue to do so , you will only make your life harder.

just a thought
